The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I just got through to the ticket purchase stage, twice, said my tickets were held for 5 mins. Went through it all, agreed to pay then told tickets no longer available! Now they've all jumped up in price! Robbing bastards!
This company is unlawfully selling things they don't have. I purchased tickets for a concert which doesn't even have tickets available to purchase. In my confirmation email there are no seats listed. When I called and emailed the company they refused to cancel my purchase, refused to let me speak to a supervisor, and informed me that they could not give me any information regarding the third party where my tickets were actually coming from and that they could not tell me where my seats were because that information had not been provided to them. It could be they don't know the seat numbers because these tickets that they have sold to me don't actually exist at this time. The associates I have spoken with told me I should just "release" or sell my tickets which I informed them that I couldn't sell something I didn't actually have. They also advised me that these tickets were 100% guaranteed which is impossible because they sold me something that they or the third party do not yet have. I have filed a complaint against this company and have agreed to help my bank in the case that charges are filed. I encourage anyone else who has been scammed by this company to do the same.
My daughter bought what she thought were 4 tickets for £82. Only when the order confirmation came through did she realise they had taken £335. Their response was appalling.
This is company is deceitful and should answer for fraud! I was trying to buy tickets for my boyfriend for Christmas and thought that I was £262 for two tickets (still extortionate but not completely devastating). Then when I got their email it turns out they took £533! They have a horrible stress inducing timer which prevents anyone from reading their terms and conditions or checking the price before they confirm. I have since checked the venue's polcy on resold tickets and the Royal Albert Hall have said that they do not accept resold tickets and that people will be turned away at the door. To sell something you have no right to sell is fraud! I urge all of you who have been a victim of this site to complain, tell all of your friends and loved ones and make a claim for fraud if you can! My bank are trying to help me get my money back.
We recently purchased four tickets for a concert in Shipshewana, Indiana. The e-mail from the company stated that we would be notified where our seats were located a week before the concert. The afternoon before the concert we had not heard anything, so we wrote an email requesting information. A phone call to the venue where the concert was being held informed us that we were not yet in their system and that we had paid double what our tickets were worth. Finally the theatre manager located our seats, but they were in someone else's name. This experience taught us to purchase tickets only from well known, reputable ticket brokers.
Paid nearly double the ticket price for four tickets to Book of Mormon at the Lyric theatre in Sydney, and I still don't know if the tickets will work on the night. They are in the name of Eduard Krukov. A quick search of the internet has me convinced he is a Russian criminal. Now have read many horror stories about Viagogo on the internet. Why is this site allowed to do business?
I was attempting to look for tickets for the Kirstenbosch Garden Concert in January. Viagogo popped up as a ticket supplier, and while I was filling out my details, I had completed entering my credit card information. Once the drop down boxes were populated, I was charged completely, and before I knew it, my purchase was complete. It was only AFTER the sale that I noted a "service charge" almost equal to the price of the tickets, which were more than twice the price of other providers. Then I was unable to contact Viagogo - THERE IS NO EMAIL! THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER. I contacted VISA to cancel my sale. In South Africa, the Consumer Protection Act guarantees the full refund, particularly when requested thirty seconds after an payment not authorized by the buyer was processed.
VIAGOGO has been caught in fraudulant activity in the UK. Buyer beware, STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS
Do not go near. Shady company with hidden charges and obscene prices. Even to not sold out events. No refunds and terrible customer service.
DO NOT buy from Viagogo! I had purchased 5 tickets for the Disney on ice event and found out I actually needed 6. They told me to purchase 6 and place the 5 for resale. I did that 3 days before the event but they removed it from the list stating they would not be able to get the e-ticket to the purchaser on time. WTH!
This is a joke, paid £330 for 2 tickets, just received two days before the tickets price is only £99, what a joke, if I knew it I wouldn't pay for it, such a waste money, and this company is a scumbag
I'm a pensioner wanting to take my grandkids to a gospel concert. I somehow found myself on their site - time was running out to buy the last tickets - it said - telling me there were only 10 left. I shelled out almost £500 thinking that at least I'd managed to get in in time - though concerned about how much I'd spent. Turns out there are still dozens of tickets left - at only £30 each. Having contacted them they pointed out the small print on the site. Yes it's there. In SMALL PRINT! I now can't afford anything else for them at Christmas and am absolutely heartbroken at the total con. And of course now wondering if the tickets will actually arrive for the concert, having read other reviews. What a mess. What a con.
I bought online with Viagogo 3 tickets for a concert of Tribalistas (Marisa Monte) in Brussels on 6 November 2018. Viagogo charged me 463,74, whereas the tickets that I received had an indicated price of 63,22 each, making a sum of 189,66 for all the three tickets. Meaning that I paid 463,74 for tickets worth 189,66.
I am not going to express my feelings, nor to judge. Do it yourself with the facts exposed here.
This company play on your emotions. You want to get tickets for your loved ones but they inflate the ticket price so much with their charges so that you will pay an arm and a leg and possibly another arm just to get them. This is easily done in the heat of the moment as they will flash up on the screen that 345 people are looking for these tickets and only 3% remain! (A lie I think AS IT IS ON THERE ALL THE TIME). You can easily pay £250 for a ticket with a face value of £30 -£60. Please avoid, stay away and put an end to this legal form of theft! Half the time you won't even get your tickets or know where your seats are. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! SCAM!
I will give you the abbreviated version. I purchased tickets for my son that were sold out elsewhere. I read the Viagogo reviews but thought I might get lucky. Beyond that, I really wanted the tickets. Unfortunately, as the concert date came closer, still no tickets. Customer service is there basically just to reassure and pacify. They can do nothing as the tickets are allowed to arrive ANY TIME prior to the concert and are sent via the original purchaser. In my case, I never received the supposed email for FEDEX delivery which would have required me to be available to sign for the ticket. Anyway, I called and emailed and emailed and called. As of Friday, still no ticket for a Saturday show. They were still trying to get me a ticket by Saturday morning for the show which began at 10 am. I told them this was unacceptable as I was leaving much earlier with friends to get to the venue. Finally, they agreed that I am to receive a refund because there was no way they could get the ticket here. I have purchased many tickets in my time from different sources and have never had such an aggravating experience. Luckily I was able to find a last minute ticket as a fluke. Otherwise, this would have been a total disaster despite paying way too much money and having to worry for weeks. Don't do it to yourself. It is outrageous and I wonder how Viagogo remains in business.
They basically stole AUD$250 from me. I wanted to go to the elrow festival and get re-directed to viagogo website, were the tickets were listed at AUD$250. I purchased it thinking it was the actual price. But on the ticket I received by email the date and location were wrong. I thought I accidentally purchased the wrong ticket and immediately purchased the right ticket on an other website for AUD$90.
Then, I realised the first ticket I purchased AUD$250 was for a Non-existent event.
I asked Viagogo a refund, they refused it.
Arguing they would change the date and location on my ticket. So I just paid AUD$340 for an event which cost AUD$90.
Great, isn't it?
Just got conned out of $3500 for non existent tickets from viagogo.com There is no way to get money back from them and just send a non refund email after 2 days
NEVER use this site, they are useless at keeping it legitamate.
Travelled to Istanbul for a week. Was frothing to see an Europa league game at one of the cities vibrating stadiums. Bought tickets for Fenerbahce Anderlecht, 3 weeks in advance. The tickets got only available for download 1 day before the event and were not usable as the file was cropped and unreadable. I then contacted the customer support, who informs me that I have to pay and apply for a passolig (Turkish stadium access card), which I never got informed of previously. (Please note that when you buy tickets on viagogo, your time is limited, you have 10 minutes to proceed the long and unorganised process to get your tickets, so don't expect to have time to read all the details of your purchase). Then contacted the customer support as I still didn't have my tickets on the game day. They told me I'd have to pick them with my passolig at the stadiums box office. Got to the stadium. Didn't get the tickets, didn't get the pass, didn't see the game. This lack of seriousness is unacceptable. Customers can't be stitched up that horribly. This is a big abuse.
Sorry to here about the bad experiences but I went to see Drake and Migos on November 6 and we bought our tickets about 5 days before the show. The one thing that sucked with this site tho was the booking charge but it was totally worth it. I was pretty scared after reading the reviews but I had THE BEST EXPERIENCE. The seats were exactly what we paid for and it was super easy to order from the site. 100% will use Viagogo again!
This site will knowingly deceive and won't stand behind their own guarantee when called on it. Time to shut these guys down. They knowingly sold me tickets advertised for 7pm and then added a note to the courier pouch that they were for 1 am. No notice to let me decide if I wanted to attend a 1pm show instead. Missed the show, no refund. Disrespectful people that have no morals or business acumen.
DO NOT deal with this bunch of thieves. Unknowingly, I paid DOUBLE for two Joe Bonamassa Concert Tickets. I assumed they were legit and a quality site to do business with,. They Are Not... Avoid like the plague...
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
