Viagogo Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Scammers, Avoid Them
February 20, 2019

Hello,

Avoid these scammers ViaGogo. On 14th of December, one week after the original sale dates for the UFC Fight Night in Prague (Chezch Republic) on 23rd February 2019 I was looking for the tickets. When you type on google the event name the first site to appear is viagogo mainly due to their google adwords.

While browsing their page more than 2 month before the event the scheme of the tickets and the different areas was fully blocked and only a few options were available.

I started going and browsing and as soon as I choose the seats I started typing my card detals etc. I did not click proceed but immediately took my money.

The worst thing was the hidden taxes. It did not gave you a full breakdown of how much additional taxes such as vat, customers taxes, etc would be, so I ended up paying instead of 220 Euros per ticket 330 Euros. For both tickets I was charged 660 Euros or 1350 local currency which is quite a lot. This is average salary in my country and mostly in the capital.

I have already been to 2 ufc events first in 2016 in Zagreb (Croatia) and a month later in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). In Holland I was sitting in the same area and I paid there 150 euros for the ticket. I have to say that the prices were more expensive than the UFC event in Zagreb, however the overall standard of living in Prague (Czech Republic) is lower than in the Netherldands and I ended up paying 2 times more per ticket.

I immediately wrote to the so called "customer support"and the only message I received is that I can list the tickets for sale on their website. However after new year all of a sudden more than 600 tickets were released and guess what nobody was interested in my tickets although I put a price around 65 % lower of what I have paid for.

Now the person who had to come with me will not be able to come so most likely I will end up losing like 3300 Euros.

Аnd on top the are registered in Geneva (Switzerland) where there is no applications of the European Union laws with all the options for refund within 14 days etc.

Avoid them, scammers, I hope when I go tomorrow at lest to watch the event.

Total Ripoff! So, sad story... My friend and I are in our seats at the Bob Seger concert. The opening band was GREAT! Then the usher comes over to us and asks for our tickets which I purchased on line at viagogo. Well, they were fraudulent tickets I'm just sick about this and pretty damn angry! I tried calling viagogo but the menu selections just kept hanging up on me. Lesson learned! Then I called my credit card company and had to cancel my card! Apparently we weren't the only victims. While we were in there at least 4 other couples were the victims as well. Ugh!

Today I purchased 5 tickets to Elton John, they advertised the tickets to be $371 each, I was rushed through there website as I thought I was going to miss out. They have charged $520 each and I haven't received an email confirmation of the purchase. $2,600 taken from my visa. I cant get a hold of them through there website and so many people have told me now, I might get to the concert and the tickets wont be authentic,

It's a scam
February 12, 2019

Viagogo uses psychology to persuade you to buy tickets. They use the fear that you will lose your ticket if you don't buy it right away. They offer a misleading offer that turns out to be false advertising. While buying my ticket I was bombarded by so many urgency messages, that I completely miss the updated price in the basket. I thought my purchase would be 170, it ended up being 400 (and the original ticket price was 80). Once you payed, there is no refund, you can't contact them, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO. It's daylight robbery.

Cheated
February 10, 2019

I was looking for Eagles tickets when i came across via gogo who told me there were only 20 tickets left and i had to hurry and had 4 minutes to complete the purchase which i just made in time, only to find out that i had over paid by nearly $400.3 months later the tickets still aren't sold out and are very cheap compared to what i paid. I feel cheated and ripped off and feel i was forced to hurry and get the tickets now or i would miss out. Not happy, will never use them again.

Zero stars for viagogo
January 29, 2019

I would actually rate it at zero stars. Basically in short got ripped off and couldn't get in touch with customer service by phone as friends couldn't either. I did the online deal and filled out information. I then received a call back and I was told viagogo is going to refund all my money from 2 tickets and plus extra compensation. Well I received half the refund of tickets with a small amount of compensation which was a voucher for viagogo. Again couldn't contact by phone. Contacted them by email again and i was receiving replies that didnt help the issue that I had with what I was told they were going to fulfill. I really was ignored about situation over and over, also no body would call me. I wasnt the only one that got ripped off. Myself and all I know will not use there site. They should be shutdown.

I have lost the money from the sale and to add insult to injury they have charged me a £44 admin fee!

Bought tickets for a concert. Obviously high resell price, but they don't tell you about about the near 50% additional service cost they add to the purchase price. You'll know when have pressed the purchase button and when it is too late to regret. Furious!

Scammers
January 18, 2019

Bought tickets from this UK based company for a soccer game in Germany, took 15 phone calls before they even shipped the tickets.

Once tickets arrived they weren't the section I paid for and then they gave me the normal drama of those they are a third party seller.

Don't wasted your time with this company hope the die off.

Not to be trusted
January 17, 2019

Do not trust Viagogo
Avoid this site at all costs they are not to be trusted. Their fees exceed the value of the tickets and they are very difficult to deal with when their misleading conduct is called out. Went on the site believing it was legitimate and was charged over $350 for ticket with face value of $140. Tickets were represented as scarce and premium but were in the extreme back row of the stadium and very available.

This is such a scam it is unbelievable that the owners (Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff) are not in prison for life. They have scammed hundreds of thousands of people, by taking people's credit card or bank details and even though the people not to purchase the tickets they are looking at. Viagogo takes the money and "buys it for you" anyway. It then tries to make you sell the ticket back to them (which is not actually a ticket but a print out ticket) they sell the ticket several times over then they charge you because one or more of the people could not get in with their forged tickets. Their "customer service" is a couple of henchmen, whose vocabulary consists of "Unfortunately" and "All sales are final". I wouldn't mind so much if I had bought a ticket! If they have your bank details or credit card details, cancel your accounts immediately. As this company continues to make random charges against your account. They are well know to my bank and it was they who advised me to close my account! I won't rest until they are driven out of business they have scammed 100s of thousands of people. Andre Agassi and Steff Graff shall also be hearing from us. Together we are legion.
