Messy Clinic with a Disgusting Attitude
February 28, 2016

I went to the High St Kensington clinic a few days ago after finally getting my first appointment using my Groupon voucher. I bought the voucher back in August 2015 and was told I had to wait 3 months for an appointment. I turned up 3 months later only for them to refuse to see me because I turned up 10mins late. It takes me 1.5hrs to get there from my home so I had asked for an appointment after work since I work in Central London. It still required me to leave work early which can be difficult. Instead of offering to see me when they had a free moment I was told I would lose a session. They weren't even busy!

I then got given a second appointment 2 months later. So I turned up again 10mins late because I had issues with the tube. And yes I lost another session!

I got given a third appointment 6 weeks later and this time I got there on time. Bare in mind this was my first proper appointment. Little did I know things were about to go terribly. The staff were rude and when lasered the woman Charlotte refused to treat certain areas claiming I had not shaved properly (I checked when I got home and my skin was smooth!). She also made me feel uncomfortable by making me remove clothing for no reason. Charlotte seemed uncomfortable treating me herself. She then left the room leaving sticky aloe vera gel all over my skin with nothing to wipe the excess off with.

I went back out to reception only for four of them to quickly stop laughing and give each other peculiar looks. They literally had big secretive grins on their faces like little school girls. The receptionist then gave me this big smile and told me that my next appointment was 7 weeks away as if I was receiving the best news ever. It was too long a wait and 'apparently' it was all they had. Why give out so many Groupon vouchers if they are unable to accomodate their customers?

I came home and called them to complain. The main number on their site was linked to that clinic and NOT the Head Office. Charlotte picked up and knew I was the one calling despite me not having given my name - Seems she expected me to call. Their Harley St branch was also closed so I was told I could not move there. From their site it appeared the only option left was to post a letter to the Head Office necause there was no phone number.

I have read reviews and everyone also say they have a bad attitude. They belittle you and seem too lazy to want to treat you. On top of it all, it was blatant they were treating me worse because I was Asian. Born and raised in London never have I received such treatment, it was disgusting. Clearly they all lack customer service skills. I wonder if that's why the Harley St branch was shut down. They probably moved all that terrible staff here.

Stay away
February 25, 2016

I received an e-mail informing me they are moving to 1 Percy Street - London W1T 1DG
Are they kidding me... I think this is the 2-3rd time they move their business in London. From Queensway to High Street Kensington to W1... How many area in London these rip off business owners will be danmaging..., anyway, please don't give them the privilege and the satisfaction to carry on this way. Stay away from them whether directly or through Groupon or others.

Awful experience and a proper rip off!
February 11, 2016

I encourage anyone who had bad experience to claim money back from groupon or credit card provider or take them to court! Groupon vouchers entitled me to 8 sessions, yet they said it is only 6 on my arrival at my first appointment. Laser does not work! Not even the pedal works to start the machine. Hard sale on every appointment to sell more. I was asked to sign terms and conditions yet never was given a copy even though I specifically requested. I have sent 2 complaint letters demanding my money back, they are taking months to respond and ignore my complaint. This is not the business that should be operating and ripping off customers without consequences! Avoid all branches at all cost!
---------------------------------------------------------------

Complained to Groupon - got refund
Complained to my credit card provider - got refund

CON! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING
February 4, 2016

Absolutely disgusting! This so called "spa" is a con! Please please save your money and go else where! The "vgmedispa" had an address of a different spa under a different name with different contact details! When ringing to enquire this staff were rude and very quick to get you off your phone so as to avoid confrontation. When ringing the spa that they gave the address of they said that the other company is "temporarily there", absolute rubbish. They grab your money and run! Lost just under three hundred pounds, am very very angry. This is a watch dog case!

I've never experienced such terrible customer service and felt completely ripped off. I bought a voucher for bikini line laser hair removal. I had to wait over two months before an appointment was available. Once I arrived for my consultation I had to wait nearly 40 minutes, despite arriving on time. The consultation was then very rushed and mainly consisted of trying to up-sell additional services to me. I was pressured into purchasing an upgraded treatment and paying for it on the spot. I was told no additional appointment would be needed for this.

When I got home and did a bit of research I realised that I didn't need this service. I called the salon to request a refund, mentioning that I'd been pressured into this service that I didn't need, and after fobbing me off (oh we'll sort it out when you come in for your treatment, oh the manager isn't here, she'll call you) I eventually managed to talk to the manager who said that she couldn't authorise a refund and I would need to contact the head office in writing. I did this but received no reply. Despite trying to chase them up I never had any reply. Eventually I contacted my credit card company who issued a refund.

In the meantime, I'd been continuing my appointments for my original treatment. They were late and very hurried, lasting less than 5 mins each. They were also cancelled and rearranged at short notice. After 3 treatments I'd seen absolutely no difference whatsoever, despite being told that my skin/hair was ideal for the treatment and I should get very good results that I'd start to notice after the first treatment.

A couple of hours before my fourth appointment and a couple of weeks after being issued the refund for the treatment that I'd not been receiving I was called by the company to say that as my credit card company had issued a refund they could no longer give me the treatments - even though the refund was for a seperate treatment and I'd paid in full for the treatment I was getting. When I explained this they told me that they'd still have to cancel my appointment while they 'investigated'. In the end I was so fed up with their terrible service and a complete lack of results that I gave up and didn't bother booking any more treatments. The people working in the salon were friendly, despite the chaos and extremely rushed treatment. Whilst researching the company I found more negative reviews with similar experiences and also discovered that someone had successfully filed a claim against them in the court. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

DO NOT GO HERE! Awful laser company!
January 30, 2016

Please do not waste your money at this fraudulent company! It's an absolute joke they care only about the money and not at all about the customer! They will cancel EVERY appointment on the day, they won't rebook you, the staff are rude, they make you wait over 30 minutes for your appointment, after 6 sessions I've had NO results and despite several 3 page long complaint letters I've been refused a refund that is obviously due! It's disgusting the way they treat you!

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID - PLEASE READ
January 27, 2016

AVOID - Please ladies, NO-ONE needs this sort of hassle in their lives; go elsewhere PLEASE.

VGMedispa have got 1- out of 5- on this review site; it tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about this business.

MY ADVICE IS:
Should you be thinking of having any treatment done there, FIRST visit the "clinic" and you'll understand why it only has 1-.

MY EXPERIENCE AT VGMEDISPA:
Paid £552 for 6-sessions for laser hair removal on the face area. Had an adverse reaction to the patch-test. VGMedispa refused to refund any of my money - I even ask them to deduct the cost of the patch-test and refund the balance. Said No.

MY OUTCOME:
Got my money back from the credit-card company under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act - but was long, protracted and time-consuming.

It's A CON! BEWARE!
January 27, 2016

Contact your bank for a refund. It's the only way to get your money back.

VGMediSpa is a con. Money is taken from customers without them ever completing the treatments. GROUPON are promoting this fraud. Thousands of pounds have been lost!

Don't believe me? Call Berkley Square 2nd floor reception and ask to be put through to VG Medi Spa. That's where the supposed head office is. It doesn't exist.

Unless you want to give crooks your money AVOID!

Don't waste your money
January 11, 2016

- They cancel on you due to shortage of staff; instead of having laser treatment every 6 weeks it becomes every 10-12 weeks.
- Rude staff.
- You will have a new therapist every time.
- After 4 laser treatments I only have a 20% hair reduction (if that).

AVOID VGMedispa
January 6, 2016

It was told my skin and hair were perfect for the laser treatment. After 6 sessions no results, my hair became even worst because of the shaving. Every time I was asking why I didn't have any results, they came back with different excuses and basically it was my fault (I didn't shave well enough or I should have shaved only once a week, than another person was saying once a month, hormones problems and so on.) I spent 1000£ and each appointment, if I was lucky, was scheduled in one or two months time between each other.
After I've formally complained they started treating me in a very rude way.
What was scaring me is the way different beauticians used the laser, some of them used if to the highest intensity some of them were saying the intensity is not important. They just have no clue about what they are doing. I was honestly scared to get burbed at some point.

Hi everyone,
Please avoid VG MediSpa at all costs! I have had exactly the same experience like all of you here... purchased 8 laser removal treatments through Groupon, it was £399. After the first appointment I was advised to buy extended bikini for another £250 as the bikini was really only upper legs, and after another 2 appointments I was told that 8 will not be enough and that they are running a special Christmas offer for £250 for another 6 treatments. I bought those and since Christmas 2014 until now a year later I have only had a nightmare and series of cancellations with them due to leaving stuff. I didn't get the same person ever as 4 weeks later they were gone! So my hair is still growing pretty much how it was before all the treatments ( I think I had about 8 now), every therapist is different and tells me different things. Some go over my legs in one minutes, others take longer and are more thorough.
I have now paid just under £1000 in total and have no results and can't get appointments every 4-6 weeks. Initially they book me in but then cancel last minute. Like today. I had the appointment booked 5 weeks in advance only to be emailed yesterday to say that they have to cancel due to shortage of stuff. I called them and told them I had to take a day off work to be able to get to them for 11am and that think they are in a breach of contract and should refund me. The lady on the phone laughed and said they do not refund and this things happen! Stuff leaves and there is nothing they can do!

I think we should all get together and report them to WATCH DOG!
They shouldn't be trading and should give us all our monies back and then close down.

Would you support me all? I will write to WATCH DOG now.

I have exactly the same experience as Kevin- this place took my money 6 months ago for a treatment, then called me to cancel my appointment 3 days before the appointment date saying the therapist was sacked due to gross misconduct. I was told somebody will be hired in the next couple of weeks and they will get in touch with me... a month later nobody called, wrote or texted me. I went in person and the spa manager- extremely rude and aggressive woman called Paula told me they don't refund anything so I have to choose something else as the treatment was still not available- they have not hired anyone.
I have written 3 complaint letters so far, had one response only from "Avi Rosencrtaz" (head of operations) saying they only give refunds on medical grounds.
I am due to have major surgery soon but this was still not acceptable to them- they want to have a detailed private confidential medical information about my condition from a doctor! Unbelievable!
The company is registered in Mayfair- beware this is just a po box address. There is no actual office. I have spoken to CAB who advise this company is clearly in breach of their contract and now I am in the process of alerting Kensington and Chelsea trading standards as clearly the company's practices are in breach of the Consumer Act 2015.
If you had similar experience please get in touch with trading standards too and call the CAB consumer helpline *******0506. Trading standards number is *******3002

Rip off place
November 24, 2015

Thank god I finally finished my course of 6 treatments!
This clinic was a complete ripoff place they purposely keep the strength low of the laser so you will keep to book in more sessions!
I know this as I had the same treatment in another clinic before vgmedispa and this was so less effective.
When I asked what strength they were using or if they increase them on every visit they just fobbed me off.

The manage Karen is very rude and stuck up! Only speaks to you on your last session to try her best to con you into signing up again...

BEWARE AND STAY AWAY

Unreliable. Terrible service. Avoid!
November 24, 2015

Disappointed. When booking my appointment over the telephone I was told that my patch test and consultation as well as the treatment will be done on the same day. Three days prior to my appointment I received a phone call to confirm my appointment as well as preparation instructions for the treatment. When I arrived today no treatment was done! Only a patch test was done. The patch test is the assesment itself, it doesn't require any waiting time after. I asked for the treatment to be done as well, but it was not possible as apparently it wasn't booked! The lady (laser specialist) blamed everyhing on the call centre - both phone calls (!)- claiming they simply gave me wrong information. Very disappointing customer service for a laser clinic located in Kensington! Shameful! Would not recommend it at all.

GROUPON USER- BE AWAWE AND WARY
November 7, 2015

Hi, i went there for a GROUPON treatment (at the time in Bayswater, part of the reason of my choice). The lady mentioned I would need 6 additional treatments and offered me a nice discount which I signed up for... That was the beginning of my nightmares... The following treatment available was only 2 months later. In between, they called me to inform me that their facilities moved to High Street Kensington... Not as convenient. Following that, I received a new call saying they had to cancel my appointment and that I needed to contact them to reschedule. I did. Had my first follow up appointment and went out of my way (week day and opposite side of London form my work) to get there. Ok treatment. Second treatment booked for 1 month after that. Without 2 weeks, I received another message saying my appointment was cancelled and that I needed to contact them to reschedule. I called, appointment rescheduled for 2 months later... And a month later, I received another call saying that my appointment was cancelled and that, again, I had to call to reschedule and this tip me over the top. Surely they cancel and can call to offer rescheduling and make availabilities. I started to write a formal complaints email and was push to the regional office who then pushed me to the HQ where I had to write a signed letter... And then 2 as I did not receive any letter and asking for reimbursement, having paid for 6 treatments and only having received 1. Guess what, I received a letter saying they do not do refund but they would be happy to have me in their clinic! I am looking around for a way to report them because it is unacceptable. THEY do not provide the service they say they would and the customer has to pay and be very flexible about it?! I mean what kind of business is this? I would strong discourage you to go! Sorry for ruining GROUPON addict. I was one and was very disappointed

October 29, 2015

I had the same trouble as the lady above, nobody knows what they are doing, I have written, twice to head office to get my money back, and nobody has responded, I am now taking it to trading standards. These people have zero customer service skills and its all about the money.

Do not book a set of treatments here
October 26, 2015

The clinic itself is quite clean and staff reasonably friendly however I would strongly recommend NOT booking a set of treatments. They have issued too many groupons and the wait time to get an appointment is about 3 months which is too long for a set of laser treatments which you need every 6 weeks. I would definitely not use again.
