4 years a client and very happy
July 3, 2016

I don't usually write reviews... However as people are generally compelled to write negative reviews only, I would like to express my positive experience (and I probably represent 99% of most clients). I have been a client for 4 years of the London branch. I receive the top named brands (Botox/Juvederm and alma laser treatment) the prices are incredibly low, the customer service has improved and I have seen this small start up company grow into their own smart new premises in Fitzrovia. Well done and look forward to my next visit!

VGMedispa should be closed down!

Laser hair removal is a fraud, as simple as that... Waste of time and money, treatments are badly done and you get no results but they don't refund. There are hundreds of complaints about treatments that simply dont work and people dont get their money back. They use a software called phorest.me, google it and you will find out that it is a software used to filter the bad reviews and keep the good ones to show on facbook (where the reviews are posted by themselves, so clearly those are not authentic reviews).

Awful placeFollow me on Fbook and share your experience about this terrible place, https://www.facebook.com/kirsty.langley.52 we will have more visibility than here. Laser Hair removal, a total rip off, botox lasts 1 month, the Salon in Poole is just outrageous. They have a Facebook page where you can not leave reviews, I wonder why? And they use a software called Phorest software a marketing tool especially made to improve bad salons reputation. Pathetic We all should go to their Facebook and say what we think and post REAL reviews! '

We are sorry that your email confirmation didn't arrive after you made the booking with us. Our clinics across the UK can get very busy, so unfortunately once you have made a booking with us this is confirmed and we have to maintain a strict policy on cancellations which I am sure you can appreciate. We will review your complaint internally with the clinic so we can improve for the future.

I just had the most unpleasant experience with Karen (manager) from Birmingham branch. My experience in detail is as follows:

7th June (10:30AM) - I rang VG medi spa after reading about it on Groupon. It said that I will have to ring spa in order to make an appointment so I thought Id call them before buying a voucher to avoid disappointment. After talking to Karen (manager) I was been told that I do not have to go thru Groupon to avail this offer and she can book me directly and can take payment over the phone. I was a bit sceptical (as then I wasnt protected thru groupon) but I still made booking over the phone. She also tried to sell me more products quiet aggressively then (which i wasnt much comfortable with) but I insisted to wait until I have my first treatment.

10th June 9:15am (treatment day) - Clenic was quiet clean and staff was friendly (until that point). I was taken to a treatment room and while my treatment was undertaken, I was constantly been told about the offers and other treatment I should have. I didnt really mind but could have done better with a soothing music instead. I was been told that my treatment will last for 45 min but it only lasted for 20min. Post treatment, as I came back to the reception area, straight away I was been told about more offers and treatment. Upon saying that I would like to wait until i see results for this treatment, Karen said "there is a special offer for this treatment, if you buy now you get 2 treatments for 99GBP and if you change your mind within the cooling off period you get full refund" Hence, I decided to go ahead and buy that treatment out of self-willingness and pressure. While going thru the treatment, I was been told by the therapist that there has to be a 15 day gap in between 2 treatments and I was meant to travel outside the UK on 19th June (Sunday) for a month. But Karen insisted to go ahead and book me in 8 days (18th of June) as she said the "offer was running out". Which kind of worried me even more. But I thought, probably they know better.

Post treatment: 1 day later my face felt a bit of irritation and I had mini pimples appearing just above my lips, cheeks and under eyes apart from the redness. I rang VG mediSPA on 11th June 13:13PM to report the experience but the lines were busy. Hence, I called them Today (14th June 2016 and 10:07AM) to share my experience and to not to go ahead with the other treatments. Karen on the other line said "I cannot do much. You can go for any other treatment or "Gift" this to your family/friends" She was in a total denial with the refund she mentioned and wasnt Polite (as she was when she sold me the package) I just rang the clinic to inform them that I did not have a good experience post treatment and based on that experience I would like to not go ahead with the rest of the treatment as I was still within the cooling off period. Now slowly, I started to realise that it wasnt about the treatment but its about taking every penny possible out of your pocket. I was forced to have "any other treatment" with VG Medi spa even after having a bad experience with its staff (who could disobey their own rules and could book me for a treatment 7 days earlier than recommended duration), Put its client on a spot and make them pay and after not having a good experience, force them to take any other treatment. I decided to call *******758 (assuming it is a head office) and spoke to Jane but the same thing was repeated. I was constantly forced to assume that everything is right with the treatment and they cannot do anything about it and asked to get in touch with the clinic. I rang the CLinic again and spoke to Sarah. She said Karen is busy and she will return my call but never did.
1. I was supplied with the wrong information that if Im not happy, youll refund back the amount for the treatments which are not carried out yet.
2. I got my next appointment booked with 8 days wherein there has to be atleast 15 days window (as per your therapist)
3. I had an awful experience with their products and now with their staff and on top of that Im been forced to go thru it once again.

I feel like I'm victimised and cheated. I will be taking them to small claims court and will report this to Alternative Dispute Resolution Scheme.

Avoid their laser hair removal
June 11, 2016

I purchased 8 laser hair removal sessions on full legs, underarms and bikini with a groupon for £399.
It was a lot of money for me but thought I could use my bonus to finally stop shaving and waxing and make.
At my patch test they told me I was an ideal candidate (very light skin and dark hair), as I also have a lot of hair on my arms I was offered a "special deal" and got 8 session on that area for an additional £120.
After a few sessions, however, I didn't notice any change on my legs, underarms and arms at all.
When I brought it up with one of the ladies she said that it would take many sessions for it to lessen and that my arm hair was probably not dark enough anyway (completely contracting the colleague who called me an ideal candidate and convinced me to buy the arm sessions).
After all my sessions I still have the exact same hair and have gone back to epilating. The fact that their staff changes each time means you are told different things each lesson. They moved about 4 times in one year and had a lack of staff making them cancel 3 sessions (they're all 6weeks apart) in a row. It was a complete waste of time and money and I can't recommend it at all.

Avoid!
June 3, 2016

My initial consultation went great, the technician was really friendly and even advised me to avoid lasering certain areas as it would promote growth, she also told me I must be able to feel the laser sensation, if I didn't the machine should be turned to a higher setting. She then tested the laser on me and said I would suit a certain setting number to start off and the setting would be increase per treatments. The manager was there and told me I could pay in installments.

I went for my session a week later and it was a different technician, she was really rude and told me she wouldn't treat me until I paid all upfront, even though I had paid enough at that point for half the sessions! She just wanted the commission and told me the manager had no idea what he was talking about. Then she got annoyed with me when I asked what setting the laser was on because I couldn't feel it, I was told it was none of my business.

By the time I went for my following session the management had changed and so had the majority of staff. This new lady looks at you like you're dirt on her shoe and the staff take a hard sell approach, to the point where you feel incredibly uncomfortable. They always have the same 'specials' and they make out they're just on offer that day. Everytime thereafter I had a different laser technician. It's all about the money for them, I had huge patches missed by the laser and would ask them why they hadn't done those areas, only to be told they had, when I clearly didn't feel the machine touch my skin! I'm certain the machine settings were never increased. Other places I've been to have always been happy to discuss settings.

Honestly I was overjoyed my sessions were over. Yes, the cheap Groupon price looks appealing but it's not worth it, to be surrounded by these con artists. (Birmingham Branch)

Takes months to book an appoitment
June 1, 2016

I rang them today to book an appointment, receptionist on the phone told me it would take 6 weeks to arrange a patch test, so for me to actually receive the treatment would have taken over 2 month. It's a joke. AVOID!

VgMedispa is $#*!
May 26, 2016

This is the worst place I've ever been to! Do not trust them... I agree with other reviews they should close down. The receptionist at the precyy street salon was very rude... She shouldn't even be working there customer service was not handled well! I lost my session cause I was 15mins late! I even called in earlier to let them know I was bloody lost cause of the change of location. I would consider carefully before you join them! Waste of money, there are so many other nice places out there. Train your receptionists! Cause they all seem to have different opinions. Disgraceful

I am so shocked by how I have been treated by these chapeskates. I was stupid to be fooled by how cheap it is not cheap if you get no service... it is day light robbery. Rude and nor signed up to any regulators im kind of glad I didn't get a treatment just want my money back now! Also very concerned at all the fraudulent reviews as ive been unable to write one on their website or facebook so clearly they are lying by pushing the good ones- is this not illegal? Groupon should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this company who are the macdonalds (or worse) of the beauty world on their site.

If you go to the Birminghma Spa turn around and leave. In this 'spa' holds THE worst manager (Karen)! She's rude talks down to everyone and thinks she's superior. Never received this type of experience in my life, her and her co workers will scam you for money, they do this by changing the dates of your appointment for you to then fork out another £50 to even get a treatment, if not it's a lost treatment (The Consumer Act 2015 states to get your money back if you do not receive your full service) and they won't refund it back. Go to your bank and get your money back. If you want laser or IPL please go else where do not come here it's a scam. They're unprofessional, rude, have NO people skills what so ever and will scam you. Please go elsewhere!

Rude staff con customers
May 17, 2016

AVOID VGMEDISPA! I've been a customer for more than two years and have seen three managerial staff changes and three venue changes, each of which has been worse than the prceding one.

The staff in 2014 were sensitive and helpful. In the last six months, a new manager has taken over (after their third move) and they are absolutely HORRIBLE. Incredibly rude, cancel appointments at the last minute and then penalise you if you're a few minutes late. During their last move, they didn't send any notification that they had moved across London causing me to miss my appointment (not to mention wasting my time off work) because I had gone to their 'old building.' They have absolutely no customer service skills and are openly hostile to customers while trying to coerce them to buy more sessions. Spend your money elsewhere, VGMediSpa is terrible.

I have called to enquire about a treatment that I have seen on Groupon and the first thing I know, the manager of the Birmingham branch tries to talk me into booking ''a very special deal'' over the phone :) hundreds of pounds worth sessions... (how generous!?) for a treatment I know nothing about...
And she quickly points out that it is a ONE TIME OFFER and I would not be offered the same deal if I did not book within half an hour (oh no :(( really...? I must sound like I'm 12)

Next, I googled to see some reviews and came across disgraceful stories.

It is a shame that Groupon does not take notice of endless poor reviews / complaints and continue doing business with this company.
