Pathetic service

I don't understand why Government of India picks crap services like this. I submitted the application three days ago for new OCI. My credit card was charged but I am unable to retrieve the mailing labels. Even the completed application is missing. I have been sending emails since there is a charge for calling them. No response to any of those. I finally gave up and called them. They tell me it's escalated but there is no update. It's been three days. The website randomly fails to load. I can't move forward with my application unless they resolve the technical issue. Not sure how many others are stuck in this situation.

Traumatizing experience

If you're looking for help from VFS, say a little prayer and prepare yourself for the worst service ever. They do not answer the phone so it's impossible to even make sure that you have the right documents. When they do pick up, the connection is atrocious. The one time I was able to get through, I was spoken to extremely rudely and the lady hung up on me. I called back and as soon as they heard my voice, they hung up. Also, everyone who works there seems quite incompetent and unable to even understand the simplest of words so I do not understand how they're working in a VISA office. It's really shocking considering who they are and what they're meant to be helping with.
I had an appointment today and travelled all the way from Nottingham to London, only to be told there was a small error in my application (I accidentally included my father's middle name when I shouldn't have) and they told me that I have to rebook the entire appointment again. I had put together all the documents myself without any help so I couldn't have known that this would be an issue. So when they told me I have to come back another time, I broke down because I cannot afford to do that. Seeing me in tears, they agreed to let me amend my application. If i hadn't have cried, they would have sent me all the way back. They also charge 10 pounds for a 2x2 picture, which I think is extortionate, and are generally incredibly rude. There's no order in the place at all, there are random children running around screaming so if you're crying and stressing about your application, it is guaranteed to make the experience even more stressful. I don't understand how they are still able to run their services at such a low quality and I saw several other people complaining about things. I sincerely hope I won't have to deal with them for the foreseeable future.

Horrible

They charge you for SMS but they never even update the status on their website, they give phone number but can't reach and no one picks up. Online application enquiry doesn't work after two weeks it's still showing nothing.
And after all, they charged me for so many things which they have never done.
Please change the visa application centre and outsource some other company to do the applications.

The logistics is very poor, passport has been in transit for 6 weeks instead of 3 weeks. Also with negligent and unmotivated staff. VFS lagos in particular needs an overhaul. The communication with clients is sub par. Very unfortunate situation
Overpriced logistics services too. Charging 16k instead of 2k for deliveries within lagos

TERRIBLE SERVICE

I had submitted my Indian passport reissue certificate documents through VFS. First of all the website is not easy to navigate. Secondly the customer service number and help is TERRIBLE and do not give you good direction which is appalling considering you're charged to speak with them. THIRDLY- the incorrectly rejected my application because the additional documents were not submitted within the timeframe specified when in fact THEY WERE. And LASTLY, they have only returned the original documents I submitted and not the additional documents which indicates to me that they DO NOT HAVE A PROCESS TO track your documents. How am I supposed to trust their service?

HORRIBLE SERVICES

HORRIBLE SERVICE. They don't know how to do anything right. They're just hungry for money. They charge you to call them and to get an appointment. Their website never works properly and if you pay and request for a refund you can forget about getting your money back!

With most countries opening up for travel after Covid, VFS could surely start working more than 2 days in a week? More and more people want to apply for visas and everyone is struggling to get an appointment. Please open up for more days so that more people could be assisted. We know how to handle Covid by now.

Worst Server I have ever seen Customer service is very bad. They have no clue about my questions about indian Passport surrender. At the end of the call, he simply said send an email to so and so address and they will get back in 48 hrs. To tell this, he literally took 5 mins and costed me $16.97

They don't care about customers time and money. If they totally rely on Checklist for document validation then its their responsibility to keep it updated and remove the old ones. My application is returned because I chose the old checklist (which was present online). It cost me $22 additional in postage because the application is returned and they secured my credit card details in advance already, so they can deduct any money at thier convenience even if it was because their fault. I know one friend of mine faced the similar issue. This is very bad.

India has been providing software solutions to most of the world. But when you visit VFS Global web site, it is not easy to know what is the solution to your problem. I attained 50 years of age so I was not sure if I should apply for new OCI card. Google confirmed that I need it. On web site there were 2 different kind of OCI form checklists. I had to go far Miscellaneous. In the reasons for Miscellaneous service they have not mentioned that I should go for this service for 50 plus age.

It seems the web site has never been updated. When OCI came 50 years was not an issue. And now 50 year yardstick has been added but VFS preferred not to spend a little money and keep it as is. My problems did not end there. Infact, with Covid-19 situation, the standard of their email response is the worst, I have come across. I am still finding it difficult and am trying my best to complete my online application.

I uploaded my photo and and my signatures and when I clicked upload, it advised me to upload again. And it happened 6 times continuous, which prompted me to read the reviews and then I ended up writing one myself.

With Covid-19 situation and no flights in near future, clearly only thing going in my favour is time.

Absolute Thief.

VFS is an absolute Thief. They take 600$ to get a UK visa, but never even submit my application to UK embassy. Because of their mistake, I have never got me visa and then lost my fligh.

I applied for my son's OCI. The document checklist did not ask for a parent's passport copy if they were not Indian citizens and so I did not provide my husband's passport copy. I receive an email a day later saying that my application is incomplete without it. Next I try to upload the document into an online link they provided and that appears to be broken. I spoke with the customer service at VFS (which they charge an arm and a leg for) who refused to acknowledge that this document was not listed as required in their document checklist and was unable to solve the issue of the broken link. I am still waiting on a response from the supervisor.

Terrible experience

I would rather die than deal with vfs again. Would give them -5 stars if i could, zero communication between them and ukvi let alone with the customer. Absolutely dreadful the owners should be horrified.

You have the rudest girl ever, she can't talk to clients politely and respectfully. It's like you are asking for a favor from her yet you are actually paying for the service. Can't believe someone can be publicly humiliated for merely yawning yet she had spent a greater part of their time outside the office attending to some guy friend who had brought her lunch

They are known for losing passports and not receiving documents that we send. I think the employees are not Indians. They might have Indian names but from Guyana or Trinidad... This is the company charge $2 a minute to say hello. Hahaha. What's the status of my OCI? Pay lot of money just to hear in bad accent "allo" - they meant "hello". Hahaha. I rather go to Pakistan than dealing with these unprofessionals.

VFS provided nil feedback on the progress of my application.
Beware phone calls to VFS are charged at a premium rate. My attempts to get anyone to help me cost £88.0.

Worst company ever

They are not responsive at all. Their business model is to delay and make the process as complicated and unclear as possible. Their website and forms are full of mistakes and ambiguous instructions. Their call center charges $2.40 per minute. They put me on hold and still charged me for the wait time. The rep came back on call but didn't announce and just wasted minutes. I kept asking (as there was no music) and then she acted like it was my mistake that I was quiet. Clearly they are trying to earn money from phone calls. They should remove the paid call option. It is literally fraud.

ON THE PHONE WAS ANY BETTER, YOU ARE DEAD WRONG. THE CALLS COST 30P A MIN AND YOU ARE KEPT WAITING DELIBERATELY FOR OVER 20 MINS EVERY TIME TO ACCRUE MORE MONEY FOR THE FIRM. THE STAFF ARE VERY RUDE ESPECIALLY THE RECEPTION MANAGER WHO IS PARTICULARLY DISCOURTEOUS TO YOU IF YOU ARE AN ETHNIC MINORITY. I HAD THE WORST TIME OF MY LIFE HERE. I CANT BELIEVE THAT THIS PLACE REPRESENTS THE GATEWAY TO EUROPE IN 2021. I THOUGHT GOING ONLINE WOULD REMOVE MIDDLEMEN AND BOTTOM FEEDERS LIKE VFS GLOBAL BUT TO MY DISMAY IT IS STILL HERE. PLEASE AVOID.
