Worse cellphone providers around, way to high in price, phones are junk, and the employees barely know anything about their service or products. You are told one price when you sign up and two days later it is three times the amount. Stay away from them
Look at this: https://sunlightfoundation.com/2014/05/16/how-telecoms-and-cable-have-dominated-net-neutrality-lobbying/
They want your experience to be:
-slow site loading
-Block sites THEY don't like, regardless if the site is legal, safe, etc. The same inconvenience in school and public places that uses web-filtering (or content control software) to censor sites. This is basically internet dictatorship.
-Charge you extra money for unlimited access. This is equivalent to freemium games, where the gameplay is restricted by "timer walls" in which you either have to wait a period of time or spend money to remove the restrictions. When a good thing is deliberately downgraded just to FORCE you to pay money to enjoy it. Same goes to shareware/crippleware screencasting software, which they do things like crappy watermark to harass you to spend money (filmora did this crap).
In case if you don't know net neutrality, its basically a rule/law that ISP must treat all data in the internet the same, without any discrimination. So no blocking, no slowing, and no charging extra money based on the type of data in general. It's basically internet freedom.
Ajit Pai is an American attorney who formally worked with this company, and he had the NERVE to say:
"This is just evidence that supporters of heavy-handed internet regulations are becoming more desperate by the day as their effort to defeat Chairman Pai's plan to restore internet freedom has stalled. The vote will proceed as scheduled on December 14".
So he's saying that net neutrality is "heavy-handed internet regulations"?
Just F*ck you. That is the same as saying "Freedom of expression is a heavy-handed conversation regulations".
We need money too, being single sided on handling money is being outright selfish that you discriminate who talks and who gets censored, we're not in china, and no, we are not in NK. Don't turn the US into a censorship country like those,@$$holes.
Although my review of Verizon was discriminating, they have changed some purchase plan! I spoke with a CEO, and he along with other associates, adjusted their service cost plans to accommodate new customers and make it more affordable, on a monthly pre-pay plan. This adjustment and decision is terrific and is a company who cares about their clients! Good job, ladies and gents At Verison. Excellent work!
There is not one single thing I can say that is positive. Disconnected my internet and connected the neighbor and charged me for two weeks of no internet while they tried to find the problem. I explained repeatedly to the customer service aka no service that this happened frequently in my apartment. Finally, one representative said, "your apple computer seems to be connected and working." You guessed it, I have no apple computer, my new neighbor does. If this wasn't bad enough, they did it again when a new neighbor moved in a few months later. Once again no one listened. I had no internet for two weeks while they were "troubleshooting" the problem again. I absolutely detest this company and things attached to it. Stay away if you want any kind of customer service. Finally moved and had it disconnected. You guessed it, they are still billing three months after I turned in the equipment and disconnected their worthless service. I am now on hold for 10 minutes with someone who is supposed to help. I doubt I will receive any help. I will never use this service again.
If Verizon Wireless was a sentient being,
I would build it a spectacular rocket ship
With my bare hands,
Seat it comfortably in the pilot seat
With all its favorite things,
And have it watch me set a course
For the great unknown
And once it was in space,
With a marvelous smile on its face,
It would slowly come to realize
That I am in no way a capable rocket scientist
And that it's favorite things
(data overages, frivolous charges, mafia-like contracts)
Aren't in a position to assist it
Because the ship is made of
All the busted piece of guano phones they sold me over the years,
And that 8 inch tinfoil ZenPad they threw in for free
-because who in their right mind would *buy* it-
Is actually the thing I typed the destination into
But now all that shows up
Is the burn in logos of spam apps
That can't be removed
No matter how many times you try to delete them
Or turn it on and off
And its single recourse would be
To use itself
To call for help
But the only number that rings through
Is its own customer service
So it sits on hold
Listening to staticky muzak
While it drifts into the firey bowels of the sun.
I've had VZ for years, its the best so far compared to my previous cell phone service. I will continue to use Verizon Wireless for years. Great service coverage, no drop calls. The only
In addition to having service everywhere we need it, Verizon's online portal makes it simple to manage of all of our employees' mobile service and devices.
Ordered usb cable on line, gave phone id and was assured it would work. Received it did not fit my phone, which I had purchased from Vz. So then was given specific
Instructions on how to go to the store and purchase so it would fit. Amazing, so purchased from ebay for 1/3 the price and it works. No unsolicited gab. My last purchase from Verizon.
Whoever has been developing the website should get fired. The website is non-intuitive and plain poor in functionality. I just went through a lot of trouble setting up a purchase. It gave me a choice to save the shopping cart to continue later, and when I went back, it's gone! I have been frustrated with the website for years as a customer, this finally prompted me to write a bad review for it. Eff you, www.verizonwireless.com!
This is a review about the website, not any other parts of Verizon Wireless.
I switched to Metro PCS after using Verizon for several years. There is no comparison to the service I am getting through Metro PCS. I am astonished that Verizon is still in business.
Upon upgrading to a new phone a Verizon Sales Rep. In Carlsbad said that they would add a hot spot device for free with no monthly charges attached. I clearly stated that I wanted a plan with a monthly fee similar to the one I already had. A few days later I received a bill summary by email stating that my bill would be almost double what it had originally been. I called Verizon and stated that I wanted my old plan because I needed to keep the cost down and they told me that they would change me back to the old plan; however they conveniently did not mention that I would still be charged $25 monthly for their jetpack line. When I received my bill I had been charged not only for the hot spot device but also a monthly fee of $25 which would be charged for a 2 year period. Although I made several phone calls, took the device unopened back to the store I was told that since I had waited too long ( 14 days) to return the device they were unable to help me and the only alternative would be to pay $175 to terminate the contract. I would not trust Verizon Sales Representative, they lie and their bosses back them up. Very bad service):
We have had Verizon wireless for right around 10 years now. We were gone for the winter and used both our phones and jet pack while we were gone with no problems. When we got back to out home in rural Michigan I switched our Internet to unlimited. I noticed that our computers and cell phones began to not be able to lock on to verizon's signal. The strength would roll from 4G to 3G to 1X. So I called Verizon several times as to me this was an issue they needed to repair. We can see several towers from our home that have always been Verizon's. When I called I informed them that this same issue happened several years before and they saw that someone had been out working on the towers and sent someone out to fix it and it had worked like a charm until this happened. They informed me that we are now considered a low signal area and I could always buy a $250.00 signal booster from them to see if it helped. I told them first that they should fix their coverage map to show this change in signal and then asked them why I could go 1 to 2 miles to the south or north and have at least a 3 bar locked in signal and they wouldn't tell me. They could have at least offered to send me the booster for free as we have been such long standing customers. Not very professional with their help for this problem. As we live in a rural area of a small town, we have very limited choices for our Internet and they choose to do this!
They asked if it was ok on the online form to run a credit inquiry, but did not say that it would be a hard credit inquiry. I would have much preferred to pay the little $150 due up front rather than breaking it into 3 payments if I had known a hard inquiry would be necessary for such a small amount. When I found out and later asked a rep if there was some form of compensation available for the costly nature of the hard credit inquiry that was unclearly stated, he said that there wasn't.
These companies spend thousands of dollars to get you to switch to their network but when you've been with them for 20 years it means nothing. You get a crappy Phone that has been replaced and still doesn't work to our satisfaction they won't trade it in or make it eligible for an upgrade. They can spend thousands of dollars to con people into switching over but can't spend $500 to keep a loyal customer with 7 active lines. After all these years if I could give them a lower than 1 star I would. Very sad that they don't take care of the loyal customers
Ordered a new phone online to be delivered to my home. Because of Verizon's 'signature required' policy, the package has become undelivered because nobody is home for delivery during the day. Tried calling both UPS and Verizon. Major PAIN.
I love Verizon Never let me down from signal to customer service its the best! Its expensive but i guess for my line of business is worth it.
This is ridiculous with Verizon devices are worthless. I mean is ridiculous, I purchased an iPhone full price and I can't use it with any other carrier. I try to unlock by a third party but it will only work for overseas usage. WOW, never verizon again!
On the phone for almost 2 hours waiting nothing was done for me all my questions nothing un professional and only respect new customers after you sign *******826
I have been to 3 different Verizon stores in the Portland/Gresham area in the last year to help me with different problems on my iPhone. One employee told me, "sorry I'm only familiar with Galaxy's. Really? The rest tried their best but not all that helpful. A waste of time to sit in line waiting. My other issue was getting the Hum Bluetooth calling and roadside assistance. It sounds great in theory but did not work well for me. I tried for a year trouble shooting it but finally got rid of it to save my sanity. Since it was a 2 year contract, I had to pay 50 bucks to get rid of it.
I've visited 3 or 4 Verizon stores over the past 4 years. The most helpful employee is at the Auburn Hills Mi store. His name is Malik. He really WANTS to remedy your problem. He's knowledgeable and patient... even when you are frustrated. He goes above and beyond (ie creating a group text with other employees when you have a group text problem). This is the second time he has come to my rescue. Very valuable employee :)
Answer: Go to My Verizon, click the 3 bars at lower right. In drop down menus hit contact us then schedule a call. They will call you about the time you scheduled a call-back.
