I loathe Verizon, they are cons and crooks cheating you out of every penny they can get away with. I will be first on the list of any class action suit. Their reps are the nastiest weasels and they appear to apply a bait and switch tactic on every single move you make with this greedy, thieving company. May they all rot in hell.

I ordered a new phone online and it shipped to an old address (Dallas). Right after I ordered the phone I realized this and I told customer service to ship it to a different address (SC). The guy had no problems and said it would be shipped to the new address. This was on Friday. Well while tracking my order, I noticed it was in Dallas on Monday. I contacted customer service again to see if it was going to my new address and the lady on the phone assured me it was. I decided to go to my local store to see if they could get me my phone faster, and since I had an order I could not. I get that. So I waited until the next day and checked my tracking number and sure enough the package was shipped to my old address in Dallas. I contacted customer service for the third time and they told me they could cancel the order and I could go to the store to get my phone. I get to the store and the guy tells me there is nothing they could do since it was already shipped to Dallas. So now I'm stuck between incompetent service people and a phone that is somewhere I don't live. If the first guy just did his job it would be all good. Unfortunately, at Verizon they hire blowhards who tell you anything you want to hear but don't resolve anything. So how do I get to a phone that is in Dallas? Contact the people living there? I don't have their phone numbers so I guess I'll write a letter? I have no clue. Thanks Verizon..

So, I sent an email to their corporate office explaining that it's been a month and nobody's helped me. I'm a student, I run a home business, and both are suffering. I did have someone get back to me quickly, and FINALLY send a team out. Turns out, I was right, and it was an issue with the tower. They blew me off until I threatened to go elsewhere, and convinced them I'm in my 20's and know what to try with technology.

Avoid Feerizon!

I moved to a new area a year and a half ago that had virtually no options for internet services. We were with Verizon 6 years for cell service with no issues, so we thought we would try them out for internet. 3 weeks ago, our perfect internet started going out. We would get up to 2 hours of connectivity per day, on a good day. I tried a new router which didn't work and I had to pay a fee two days later to return, and all computers and phones had issues which meant it was their service. It would get worse by the week.

I called the morning of 10/13 and they said they would send a rep out to look at the tower, etc. and let me know what's up. They never did. They just kept feeding me the same excuse over and over about how I live in a rural area and that happens. They have no plans on trying anything new, building, or expanding. Basically, their service doesn't work, I pay $110/month, and they won't do anything about it. I had 3 representatives blame my area even though I never had an issue before. I can't wait for Charter to come through because in our other house, they were the best. Even as I am trying to submit this review, it keeps giving me connectivity errors. Smh.

I left Verizon after probably 20 years just because I wanted to cut my phone bill. I am a single parent trying to support a son in a rigorous college program which doesn't allow a student to work during school. I figured even 30 or 40 dollars each month helps. HUGE MISTAKE! I switched to SPRINT and it has been a nightmare to put in kindly. The have lied about prices, charged me for things I did not authorize and have been rude beyond belief.
I actually was having chest pain because the frustration that you virtually just have to deal with. If you can figure out their bills you qualify as a rocket scientist. They can't
Figure them out. I have been given a different explanation of charges every time I call. BEFORE YOU LEAVE VERIZON THINK TWICE. I never was treated like this by them and I always knew my bill was right. In 18 months I will be going back to them.

Customer service is really bad once you are off contract, and pressure is so strong when you are on contract. I am dealing with them now because they unilaterally changed the due date on ALL wireless accounts earlier in the month. I used to make payment arrangements which gives a 14 day window for payment. Now that the date is moved up, I cannot get the arrangements to work for my limited government payment I get only on the 1st of each month. I have been balancing things since the change, paying a bit more as I can, but they are pressuring me now because my contract ended in March. I am looking at TMobile which may have a different set of problems, but I cannot reward Verizon when I can get a better monthly plan with the same phones for $60 a month LESS than Verizon. Wake up, Verizon, the giant has been sleeping too long in customer service and accommodation.

Had the worst experience of my life. I had one Verizon Wireless phone with my company and two lines with AT&T which I wanted to have all under one company and one plan. I called to cancel my Verizon to switch all lines to AT&T. I was transferred to the retention center where I wad offered a family data plan for all 3 phones that was about $50 less than they're advertised retailed one. Little did I know it was bait and switch. They had me transport my phone's over and then they told me they could not transfer my Note 5 phones from AT&T to Verizon. Then they lost two of my phone numbers. After 7 hours of being on hold and being moved from One customer support person to another, The only thing we could do to save my phone numbers was to transfer back over to AT&T. Then I transferred back to Verizon after having to buy new phones and then was told that they could not give me what they said they would offer and that they were not sure why the representative gave me those crazy quotes. Note that I confirmed and reconfirmed and reconfirmed the offer I was given before moving forward and transferring over. I ended up returning the phones I had to purchase since my Note 5 did not transfer and I once again transferred back to AT&T. Verizon Wireless is a bunch of criminals. It is Simply Organized Crime. I don't say this based on one particular bad experience with one or two or even three Representatives. They are trained to bait and switch and put you on a rocket to prevent you from signing up with competitors like AT&T. They are trained to mislead and misinform and keep you on the phone for a long time so that you get tired of waiting and end up signing with them. By far the most disgusting company I've ever dealt with. I have asked for a real manager to call me back and they never do. They keep switching You from One retention criminal to another and managers will not call you back.

STAY AWAY!
May 22, 2018

I changed my service to save some money ( was paying 175.00 a month for internet, cable and home phone) after I changed the plan that's where all my problems started. I lost all my discounts( wasnt told that one) and I called back to get my old plan back. Nope. Was told if I wanted my old plan I would have to pay for a home phone and it would be over 200.00 a month. I called numerous times to get this issue fixed and I was lied to over and over. I asked about the contract (being mine was up in nov 2018) and I never signed the new contract that I have till 2020( this was after the supervisor changed my plan and didn't tell me about the new contract being added) I didn't know till I went to look at the order online. I asked her about it and I needed to sign it she said she didn't have time, another excuse was in was a "interdepartment documentation " and she was not able to get me the new contract. Oh and now I have NO home phone and a new contract till 2020 that I didn't sign and I am paying 20.00 MORE than before. Talk about shady and ripping people off. No one at Verizon is honest and they don't care about the customer. So now I am paying 188.00 a month and no home phone, no discounts. And a shady contract that somehow I got and wasn't told till after the fact. No one at Verizon will send me the new contract...

I bought a Google Pixel 2 xl phone through Verizon that was advertised with a $300 off (thru the billing over 2 years) and a $150 prepaid card for adding a new line to an account. The rebates were attached to the advertisement for the phone. I bought the phone with the understanding that I would receive the rebates. After receiving the phone, I transferred my number from Page Plus Cellular and added this line to my son's account. Prior to this purchase I called and/or did an online chat with Verizon several times to ask how all of this works. I was evidently given bad advice about this and was told that I would get a prepaid Mastercard for $150. Twice while trying to figure some of these issues out, Verizon's customer service put orders through that I did not authorize. Twice I had to call back to tell them that I did not order anything. Now they won't honor the $150 rebate because they said I didn't port the number using my old phone. It was certainly not made clear that I needed to follow this sequence. Why did they attach the advertisement to that phone if I was supposed to use my old phone? I should have stayed with the non-contract service that I had before - I NEVER had nasty surprises with them. I believe this misleading advertising is purposely done so that they don't have to honor promised rebates.

I am a business woman and depend on my phone. The phone, after 4 years died. I went to their store, Saturday Morning, Snow, at 10 a.m. Guess what? No one there, not open, and it was 10:30 a.m. Verizon claims great customer service, well if you aren't open, that is not good customer service. Customer service rep is not hard, having been one. Just be open when the signs say 10am. I guess I could of called, but then I would of had a working phone...

Most horrendous process just to try to pay a bill!
My husband's
(PS. His phone is still not on AND he could lose his job for not having his phone because his employer needs to call him constantly to give him updates on jobs/ ask questions etc.)

First: you cannot talk to a customer service agent through chat support without signing in

B/S! So whenever the username & password they have for you does not go through your screwed!
(and they're extremely inconvenient by not letting you know which one is not correct they have to just give you a standard scripted "sorry the passcode and username combo that you have entered isn't what we have on file."). Try to enter the 4-Digit passcode that's no help either why the hell do I have a four digit passcode if you're not even going to let me use it to get a new password why do you have to text it to the phone?

Question: who are all these strangers trying to pay by phone bill? And why don't you let them?

There should be a simple way to pay someone's phone bill without having to be asked a hundred questions!

Second: you turn my husband's phone off without sending him a reminder text that it was due
So. Therefore his phone's off he cannot text me the damn passcode that you are sending to his phone HELLO!? How am I supposed to pay his phone bill without the damn code!.?

Third: *611 won't work from my phone
I don't know what's going on with verizon but this is ridiculous!

Fourth: the customer service number is no help!
Because they do not have an automated system to speak into now, and whenever I push my response it will not pick up which number I am pushing and hangs up on me! 6 Damn Times Now!

Real effing great customer service!

Fifth: fill out an online request for customer support to contact you back and what happens.? You pick up the phone and it's ringing &. It's sending you back through their stupid system that cannot pick up which buttons you are pushing for your response
Ha ha horrible joke!

I have already cancelled my phone service through Verizon &. Now I'm going to persuade my husband to do the same (as soon as he gets home!), NO MORE!

Actually, I'm the 1 that pays the bills.
We're Done!
We are switching phone company TODAY!

PS. Their phone service is not that great anyways
My husband does not even get a signal at our home he has to be at the end of the driveway

One of their representatives told me before that they make their phones to not get such great service anymore after they are so old so that you have to buy a new phone, I believe this is true!

Verizon is the only network that works out here in the sticks. Any time I have a problem, I call 611 and they fix it. Usually, I end up with extra data by the end of the call! Best pre-paid plans, best cheap phones, best signal. I'd NEVER switch!

Verizon is a joke
February 20, 2018

Had nothing but problems from day one, they stole my trade in, never got the full 5 hundred dollars that was owed to me for cancelling my other contract, kept upping my bill, service stinks, and the customer server is even worse, they give you a credit and then the following month they would charge me for it, either my husband or i was on the phone with them at least once a month with no help, id go buy a pre paid monthly month or go without before i go back to verizon

Recently I went to the Verizon wireless store to buy a new iPhone. I had asked if they had any promotions at this time, Sure they said, if u buy a new phone we will give u $200.00 off a new iPad. Well I thought that was a good idea, I will upgrade my phone and iPad at the same time. So I brought both. When I get the bill, I see that they charged me a $40 activation fee and an additional $10 a month for service for my iPad. They never told me that this was going to take place. They have a 14 day return policy, well it was pass the 14 days by the time I got the bill and saw all the extra charges for the iPad. I was told I would get $200.00 off a new iPad and I would pay an additional $164.00 for a $450.00 iPad, so I agreed. When I called them 2 tell that there was a mistake with my bill, I had nothing but arrogance. For the next 2 yrs I was going to pay them a total of $240.00 for service to my iPad, which I only use at home an bump off my wifi, why would I need a data plan 4 the iPad, I wouldn't. But here is what they told me, YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT, yes I did signed the contract, but had u made me aware of the charges of the iPad, I would have NEVER brought it. I was in that store 4 several hours and all the people there that brought new phones and left with new phones, not one of them stood there to read a 3 page contract that the average person cant see, bc the print is so small. But that's what they told me. It cost me a $150.00 to break the contract and stop them from making more money off me. That was the only recourse I had and I took it. No More Buying anything from Verizon wireless for me. Lesson learned. By the way, I'm 83 yrs old n they told me I reminded them of their mother and they were going to take care of me as they would their own mother. I'm so broken over this. Please be careful when u buy anything from them. They got me this time but they won't have the opportunity to do it again.

I had Verizon for about 3 years. Both my teenager and I had a phone with them. On more than one occasion my bill went through the roof. ($300+) I dealt with it. Sent out the appropriate threats to my teenager regarding data. Then my child support ended. Holy Cow. Things would have to change. I did EXTENSIVE research into the cheapest cellular service that was still a good service to have. I decided on Republic Wireless. I'm not reviewing Republic Wireless so I won't go into detail about that company, but I have had them for 4 years and I am very happy. Until that point, I never knew what cell service really costs. Verizon is laughing all the way to the bank folks.

Customer Service
January 20, 2018

The Verizon Wireless corporate store in my town is too pre-occupied with their tablet computers. You have to stand there for what seems like forever while they type away on their tablet computer. Moreover, a large percentage of the time what gets typed in is inaccurate. Too many times I've had to return, re-order, resolve issues because someone using one of these tablet computers didn't do something right. They need to streamline these data needs, make the process easier, and not make the customer stand there for so long whilst they type away on these tablet computers. They need someone to come in and do a business process improvement with an eye on customer service and accuracy.

Vzw had always been the most expensive provider because of the network. 15 yrs ago, when i was a vzw corporate trainer, the customer service was also exceptional. The company valued loyalty and empowered customer service to prove it on every call. Now the company has gone to s**t. Customer service is nothing of the kind. Reps proudly make up technology and information, have ZERO soft skills, and corporate greed supercedes customer care. My online account was hacked and cloud storage ransacked - files deleted, contacts duplicated 10x over, and vzw was just dumb enough to believe it even possible. Some incompetent decision maker saw a winner in 86ing an exceptional rewards program with frequent free gift card giveaways and superior discounts on everything imaginable for this new finger to the customer where you have to spend $300 to earn the right to actually participate in it - it'll be more than 300 as vzw rounded my last pmt of $74.82 down to $70 and was simple enough to alert "only $230 to go!". And for the grand f the customer finale, some senior level space cadette signed off on deleting customers included w/plan cloud data (for me 7 yrs worth) because it's not enough to be a colossal failure. Feed the greed with the asinine decision to devalue the customer experience by deleting personal data to tack on an extra $5/month over the already exorbitant prices loyal customers pay for what the industry now recognizes as the 2nd best network.

Terrible experience
January 4, 2018

My boyfriend and I recently decided to get verizon for Internet only. I went to the site opened a chat and spoke a nice guy named Mark who was assisting me in creating an order. Unfortunately due to the wifi connection it kicked me out and lost the chat with mark. I then tried to get back connected with mark again and the two reps Denise and veronica stated I would not be able to be connected to him again.

The reason I needed his assistance was because the original info I entered was inputted incorrectly however, I didn't notice until after I entered the information for the credit check. I then tried the chat again and got connected to a guy named Mike who couldn't correct the matter but, was very understanding and tried to help the best he could. I proceeded to ask if they would need to check my credit again and I was advised that they would need to another hard credit check. This just really pisses me off as I just paid my students loans in hopes this boost my score and now I have to be effected for a dumb reason when the order was NEVER fully placed!

I should have known better than to trust this company.

I really hope that they find a way to change customers info remotely when this type of issue occurs as it is unfair is to potential customers. They do not value their consumers and could careless about human survival in this harsh economy.
