Verizon kept sending me defective equipment after my less than one year old phone failed forcing me to get a new phone. I had to add a tablet in order to not have to pay off the $500 they said I owed. Then they charged to set it up. My new bill for one phone will go up to $136 per month. I paid $300 the day I got the phone and now I got a bill for $236. They rip off older customers. My son has 7 phones for $300 on T-Mobile. I'm so aggravated I hate this company so much but there seems no way out.
This company is horrible in customer service from the beginning to the end. First, they are extremely expensive. They don't explain much about the terms and conditions of the contract, and when I closed my account, they charge me double early termination fee for phone line and WiFi. I was not aware there are 2 different accounts because it was always only 1 bill. Very insensitive and greedy way to take as much money as possible from all customers no matter what. Very deceptive and sloppy customer service. All the customer service representatives are always argumentative and constantly talking over me. They don't even know how to provide a good service to make customers happy and provide with satisfaction. I'll never go back to this company ever again.
This company thinks they are the premiere cell phone company. They overcharge for their phones and service. After being with this carrier for 20 yrs we needed new phones again and couldn't believe their prices. Also the sales rep at the king NC acted like he knew what phone we needed and didn't listen to us. It worked out for the best though, my wife and I ordered new phones and new service from consumer cellular and ported our old phone numbers over from Verizon. The new phones were less than half the price and the new service is half the price of Verizon. Don't be fooled by their claims, this company sucks.
I was with Verizon Wireless for about 20 years.
Their service lately became worse and worse.
I finally cancelled my service with Verizon and switched to AT&T. Had a big hassle with Verizon Customer Service in doing so, but got it done-about 10 days before my monthly bill came due for another month. I owed Verizo nothing.
About two weeks later, I got a bill from Verizon for about $120.00 for the next month! I had already canceled my service with them. I called their Customer Service to try to resolve this. He said he could not find my account-because I had closed it. He had the arrogant suggestion I go to one of their stores and perhaps they could help me. I said thank you and ended the call.
A month later, I kept getting this bill along with Emails.
I called Verizons Customer Service again, trying to resolve this. We talked for about 45 minutes and he stated the bill was a mistake, and would send it up to be taken care of.
I never heard anything else for a couple of months. Then the bill started coming again.
Last week, I was notified that Verizon Wireless filed a very derogatory report about me with the credit bureau. I am furious!
Verizon Wireless was trying to extort this money out of me and I refused to pay it. Now I have to waste my time disputing these allegations by Verizon.
I would not recommend Verizon Wireless to anyone at any time, for any reason!
Where do I start here we go any ways. Verizon has got the worst company ever corporate does not even know what the stores are doing. Because the stores give you a line I meant a lie about you will get and holy crap you get the bill and corporate sticks it to you. So you spend half the going back and forth for what. Oh for the trick run around the daisy. If I could give Verizon a negative that what they deserve. I know nobody reads these so if I can give one person some advice get everything in writing because Verizon has ti be the worst mistake ever made for my new business account.
Promised same day delivery. Shipping company shows up to get phone but Verizon is closed. Shame on Verizon!
Applied for new wireless service for my son. Was met with open hostility and eventually denied service because he is hard of hearing. Can you imagine being mad at some for not being able to hear? I would never give them a dime of my money ever.
Called customer service because my Motorola G Power kept disconnecting from cell service. To get back on service I had to switch to airplane mode then back. When I did have service speed test reported 1.8 Mbps and sometimes would come up error because it was too slow to measure. I tried everything they asked such as clear cache, reset my cell settings, factory reset, new SIM card. Nothing worked, then was told I needed a repeater in my home even though it happened at home, work 7 miles away, Walmart, the park, it was not an isolated issue. I have lived in this house 15 years and never had cell issues, until this past year. I also live in downtown Fort Lauderdale Florida. I don't need a repeater. I need a service that has not overwhelmed it's network with customers and cannot handle the load they themselves created. So after 22 1/2 years with Verizon, Singular, Century Cellunit, I have cancelled my service and went that company in pink. I now get minimum 120 Mbps and has been as high as 1240 Mbps. Crazy fast at 3 bars signal. I was sad to go but had no choice. When Verizon's fix was to upsell me a $350 piece of equipment I should not need I made the decision to switch. I have lightning service, a free S23 phone with 2 years commit, and insurance on the phone for any issue and only am paying $10 month more for 2 phones. Was not a hard decision but yet it was. They got to fat and happy and the competition sailed past them. Wake up Verizon. You are going to be the Comcast of the cell industry.
I was approached in my office by a salesperson for Verizon. He told me that they would replace my entire system with Comcast. He was new and had to bring his supervisor back with him. I spent over 7 hours on the phone (my cell as the "plug and play" system was in no way plug and play) with their idiots in India and the Philippines. They finally escalated the case to a senior tech in the US who was able to get the phones to work for phone calls, but not with my computer network. He then told me that they's sold me the wrong system and that it would not do what was needed! I called and fired them the same day.
When my numbers finally got ported back to Comcast, I called them to find out what they wanted me to do with the equipment. They told me to take it to the Verizon store near my office. I did this the day my phones worked again.
The salesman told me that my monthly bill would be approximately $150/month. My first bill was over $400. I sent it to them explaining that I'd not be paying it as they'd been fired within the 30 days! They ignored the communication and billed me another $500 the next month. I once again explained that I would not pay it. Now they are billing me for the 2 months AND the equipment! More than $1500!
Verizon is the absolute worst big company I have ever dealt with!
We have been with Verizon for over 20 years, since before they took over the old company my husband's pager was through. In that time, we have had one problem after another. With my brother's phone: The store manager had my brother state to him (face-to-face) that he was mentally disabled. (The manager did not believe it when I told him, so my brother had to say it in front of other customers, resulting in him walking out of the store in tears.) With any phone change (i.e. Upgrade), they say the bill won't change, but it always does, resulting in it taking 3 - 4 months for them to straighten it out. This has been with EVERY upgrade, not just one or two. Another time we removed one line from our account and Verizon locked the phone...even though we had paid the phone off in full and fulfilled the 36 month contract. Now, we are being told to renew the military discount. We have been trying for the last 5 days but the system kees saying it cannot verify. I have tried to bring in the military ID card but the store (which is a 3rd party) does not take it. They say it has to be done on line. I have created an ID me acct for the military veteran on our account. It will not verify. So they had me create an ID me acct under my name as military family...and it still will not verify. As I type, I am still sitting on hold for someone to help with this issue (now at 41 minutes) and no one is coming on other than the original rep to say "We are still verifying some things." This company is a joke and I would love to see them out of business!
My internet stopped working at 6 am. I've been dealing with AI and get no help. I Finally get an operator 5 hours later wait on hold for 50 minutes. Then call back. They want access to my tablet, phone, PC? Really after 2.5 hours no help just get the run around. $#*! Verizon
Verizon is just bad I mean bad. I have been with these people for years with, like 20. Had a plan in which I could have saved my data so it would go on next month. Each month I use maybe 1/2 to 1 gigabyte. Then I noice those save gigabytes were gone, plus the month as well. I do not travel any distance out side my home. I am always on wifi. At the house. Verizon told me those gigabytes save were not mine an they can take them anytime that wanted to. The next day all the gigabyte were gone plus the month that I just paid for. If I go out of my WiFi area I get changed even more. If you are looking a better service do not I mean do not go with Verizon.
If I could give them less than one star I would I called to inquire about getting service cellphone service through them I have been with T mobile 31 years I paid $95 a month unlimited they told me it would be $55 a month no hidden charges no activation costs or fees. They said they would, on my behalf contact T mobile to cancel my account and transfer the line...none of that happened in fact the bill was a $136 a month hidden fees activation charges after that it would be $95 a month which is exactly what I pay with T mobile., meanwhile they never closed my T mobile account so I'm in $221.05 for T mobile a $136 for Verizon that's$ 360 plus dollars to save $40 a month and I wasn't saving anything at all.
But most importantly it's the time it took to try to straighten everything out on both carriers ends. The time away from my life my family...the distress waiting on hold an hour and 32 minutes getting people who dont care. You can never get back time is priceless! So, I'm sticking with tmobile. They said they'd cancel what I owed for the 3 hours I used their sim card and my account.
Ill check credit karma daily as I see that $136. For 3 1/2 hours i used sim card, entering collections
I have had the most awful experience i have been a Verizon customer for 18 years. They do not care about anyone all they care about are ways to get more money. The terminated my service because i wont pay for a phone that was stolen. I have insurance and every thing, but it don't matter they want the cost of the phone. So whatever u do if u have insurance on your devices it DOES NO GOOD ITS A FAT SCAM. I payed on insurance for years amd it covered nothing. So now i am being charged for all these fees and termination fees all this money. My phone bill was 178.00 but after them turning all of it off and charging me for a atolen phone now my bill is over 1000 dallors and they want it payed in full to restore service... Been trying to work it out for weeks. Employees will just hang up. Ya great service. NOT. I encourage everyone to keep an eye in your bill they will scam u and charge u all kinds of hidden fees and then rob u blind. I only marked one star cuz u cant give zero
My family bought 3 new phones from Verizon over a year ago. They have yet to apply the promotions and trade-ins to our bill. We've spent countless hours on the phone and in the store trying to figure it out. We were once long term and loyal customers but this has been such a scam and pain that we will never trust them again.
Absolutely horrible business. Do not trust them to honor their specials and deals!
THERE IS NO ZERO STAR, ELSE I WOULD HAVE GLADLY GIVEN THEM THAT!
RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!
ELSE YOU WILL LIVE EVERY SEC TO REGRET IT. TRRRIBLE CUSTOMERS SERVICE FROM OVERSEAS WHO DONT HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING! THEY WILL TOSS YOU OFF TO THE NEXT REP AFTER 2HOURS OF UNRESOLVED ISSUE AND YOU WILL START ALL OVER AGAIN. THE SIMPLEST ISSUE WILL TAKE HOURS ON THE PHONE AND YET WILL REMAIN UNRESOLVED. OUTRAGEOUS UNEXPLAINED BILLS AND TERRIBLE NETWORK SERVICE OVERALL! PLEASE READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU JUMP IN! I DID NOT READ THE REVIEWS AND HERE I AM GETTING BILLED AFTER RETURNING GATEWAY AND ONETALK DESK PHONE THAT NEVER WORKED. JUST 3 LINES AND I AM PAYING AN AVERAGE OF $600 A MONTH! TERRIBLE COMPANY. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF. DO NOT SIGN UP PLEASE!
The reason for my call is that my husband's phone is currently unable to receive calls, although it can still make calls and send texts. During the conversation with the operator, I informed her that I had already deactivated the watches that I had. She then mentioned that she was reviewing our account and mentioned that we were late on our bill, which was supposedly due on the 4th of this month. This confused me because we usually pay on the 23rd of every month. Despite my confusion, I went ahead and made the payment again, but unfortunately, it didn't resolve the issue. Moreover, the operator informed me that the new phone we purchased for my husband was not activated. I expressed my confusion again as we had activated it in-store and it had been working fine for over two weeks. The operator seemed uncertain and struggled for 41 minutes without providing a solution. This left me feeling flustered, especially since I was at work. Eventually, I informed her that I would visit a Verizon store to seek further assistance. At the store, I was told that all I needed to do was reset the data, which successfully resolved the problem. I am incredibly upset about this experience, especially since I have been a loyal customer. Being charged twice this month has significantly impacted my budget, and I am extremely disappointed.
I'm not the type to normally write reviews but I have to in order for people to be aware of this scam. After I paid off the phone, I sent it to Africa but found out that it was still locked. When I called customer service they said Tech support can help, tech support also transferred me to the recovery department. The recovery department said they can't unlock it so they also transferred me to the Fraud department. And they said that I should contact the recovery department. After spending 1 hour 48 minutes, nobody could help me out. Seems like they don't want to be to use another carrier. THE PHONE IS FULLY PAID OFF!
Overpriced, impossible to talk to a real person for customer service, and their website is like trying to figure out a Rubik's cube.
Answer: Go to My Verizon, click the 3 bars at lower right. In drop down menus hit contact us then schedule a call. They will call you about the time you scheduled a call-back.
