They have some gorgeous clothes but sizing and quality was a hit and miss. And I will never understand retailers that charge you for return shipping if the item is sized incorrectly or defective.

I ordered two summer dresses from them both in size small. One dress fit perfectly but the pattern was sewn way off, dead center of my chest, which is irritating. The second dress was gorgeous and good quality, but WAY too large for a small. I returned it for an extra small which is still a little large. So after paying them for the dress and then paying for return shipping because their sizing is off, I have to spend more money to have it altered. It's a beautiful dress so I will go ahead and pay to have it altered but I don't believe it's fair to charge your customers for returns when the sizing or quality is not as it should be.

Be Very Sure!

I am afraid it is hit or miss with Venus either it is an awesome fit and proper design and just beautiful OR way off from the picture(which is what you are buying!)! And I say be sure because if you get an item that dose not fit because of their sizing or the pattern and color is completely different than on line your screwed! They have the most arbitrary return policy they seem to make ii up as they go along. I have bought MANY pieces from them and always cross my fingers on returns! I have one right now that a week later I am holding my breath on how they will handle it! I am hoping they JUST subtract the 6$ shipping fee and do not play games! I have sent back items in the past that I PAID THE SHIP FEES and instead of getting a full refund have had 12$ plus some other fee taken I called and was refunded just the 12! I have rarely sent stuff back and they supposedly have changed their return policies. They have so many beautiful clothes and I do love most of them, but they should just refund your money in full no questions asked! That is how you develop a customer base on line the customer buys a lot of your items and occsionally something is off or not right with an items and you give the a refund ie customer satisfaction and they will keep coming back!

I'm a nervous wreck because I am getting ready to return 4 items that did nit fit. Already bracing myself for a hell process to get my money back after reading these horrible customer service/return policy reviews. I thought it seemed really strange that on the Venus website there are no reviews, and no option to leave a review either. Very poor business

Maxi skirts

I purchased 2 maxi skirts after i looked at reviews. I was worried that i chose the wrong size. I am a US 4-6. I ordered the Medium size and they fit perfect. Sit nicely around your bottom and floaty at the bottom. The material is what i expected as seen in the pictures. I have dresses of the same material so knew what to expect. I would say that the skirts are as the store White House Black market.The prints are prettier than i have seen in other stores so far.

I received a call from my bank on May 9,2016 at 930 pm informing me there was an unauthorized charge to my account for 2.00. The bank informed me this is the way hackers begin to hack into your account, they start with a small amount and if they are successful they then start accessing more money of your account. The bank strongly suggested I close out my account and they will re open another one to prevent this from happening which I did. The bank informed me since it was so late in the evening to call the next morning for more details. When I contacted them the following morning, I was informed a Venus was the one who had debited my account? I had no idea why since I had sent back an article of clothing that was to be credited. I contacted Venus and they informed me the item I had returned which was for an even exchange, just a different size was now two dollars more. They are suppose to be refunding me the two dollars, I have only seen the debited amount of the two dollars. I am furious that because of them automatically debiting my account I was contacted by my bank security office, had to close out an account, which is a pay roll account and am now being issued a new debit card. What gives your company the right to go into my account and authorize a charge that I was not made aware of. This morning after all of that I had returned another dress and was informed I will not get the full amount back because they will be taking off shipping charges. Lets see I paid the shipping charges twice what a good deal. I will not be doing further business with your company and will be reporting this to the better business bureau. I will also be returning the remaining items that I received from you. This is absolutely poor business practice.

Items are better quality than other online clothing. Prices are a bit high in my opinion. However, shipping is quick. I received my items within 3 business days. Return policy is great too. Just keep in mind that sizes run a bit small, so go up a size. Especially in bathing suits.

Be mindful

I ordered three dresses from Venus for the first time a month ago. Two of them were great, but was not a fan of the third dress. I returned the dress and received and email stating that my account woul be credited $29.00. However I was only given back $9.10. I spoke with a very nice young man who informed me that he will credit my account for 12.99 stating that I was charged $6.00 for using their label. After expressing my thoughts of being charged additional for a dress that I've never wore, the gentleman credited me a full refund. Not sure if I will order from them again. If I do I will be more mindful of any returns.

I had already placed an large order for their maxi skirts and then happen to stumble on some of the very negative reviews. I got my first order and the skirts were just like what was online or in the catalog then run a little big so next time I may size down 1 size. I just ordered a couple tops we will see how the quality is. I actually ordered twice and called their live chat and my experience was dead on they looked up the duplicate order thank goodness it didn't ship and they cancelled it immediately. So I would rate them on the high end so far. I have ordered from places on facebook that are cheap and crap. L these prices are in the middle of the range they are not cheap nor expensive but right in the middle

I will never order from here again. I bought a beautiful Red dress for $54 and paid $9.95 for shipping for a cost of $63.95. The dress got here and it was awful! It was Orange! I sent it back with the label that was enclosed which they charge for you to use. Basically because the dress was orange instead of red like stated and shown, I am now out $16.90. I will stick to Old Navy... free shipping and much cheaper.

I have been ordering venus clothing for over two years now. They shipping and customer service is really good. There clothes are fashionable, however I always seem a little disappointed in their clothes because they wrinkle really easily and are a bit see trough type material. Some of their clothes are amazing but Ive never been impressed with their tank tops or their dresses. It upsets me little because they aren't the cheapest but the dresses and tank tops, even some shirts are just cheaper material.

I purchase clothing from venus.com over the years. Never had to return anything. I recently purchased some swim suite. I had to return 3 pcs back. I used 1 return label to return the 3 bottoms and they deducted 3 full shipping charges instead of 1. I send them a request to correct the refund, never heard back from them. Its interesting how they treat the customer when it comes to return. They just lost a customer over $30.00.

Excellent Experience

I received a catalog in the mail one day and my husband saw a dress he really liked for me. I'm a researcher when it comes to ordering from new sites, so I went online to look up Venus.com. I was disconcerted when I saw all of the negative reviews online--so much so I went searching for a similar dress elsewhere. I couldn't find anything, though, so, despite my hesitation, I decided to give it a try. On a Friday night, I ordered three items so I could get the free shipping. Some of the reviews suggested the sizes were off and returns were difficult, so I made sure to look at the sizing chart before selecting my sizes. I was nervous upon hitting that submit button. Within the hour I received the confirmation email that they received my order. The next day, to my utter surprise and delight, I received an email saying my order was ready to ship and would be sent out Monday. Sure enough, Monday night when I checked the tracking link, the order had been picked up by UPS Surepost with a Friday delivery eta. On Friday, I checked my mailbox and there it was. I was excited and nervous at the same time, certain something wouldn't fit right. I tried on all three items and they all fit perfectly... Just as the sizing chart said they would. I couldn't be happier with my order. I will definitely be buying from them again. I don't expect every order to be perfect, but the first one was and now Venus has a new loyal customer. My advice to any skeptics: CHECK THE SIZING CHART, that's what they are there for. Don't assume you know your size. Every company's sizing is different.

Stealing money from you with return! Shipping back is not 6,95! It's just a label! They charge you shipping cost they create their own prices for that. I return items from 4 different orders. Used one label and my own box. They charged me 6,95 for label, and each order had additional 9, 95, 7, 95, 5, 95, 7, 95. This is THEFT!
I will go to my bank tomorrow with printed everything. Also have their $6,95 instructions with no explanation about additional shipping charge. And their web site doesn't tell that. VENUS IS THIEFS!
Hope bank will solve this problem and they will return my money. I will never order Venus closes again. Quality is bad that's why I had to return. Worse seller on the planet

I agree with some reviewers that the clothes are not worth the cost... but its not that bad. I typically wait until things go on sale to buy now. I'm happy with a lot of the items that I have bought there. I have not tried to return anything and see that is where a lot of people are giving 1 star for the customer service. Its not like I will recommend this site but I will say a lot of people are more mad about the customer service than the clothes.
