I love the Venus concept - women-centric and cruelty-free fashion. Their creations are beautiful, and a good value for the price. Despite the negative reviews, I have found their return policy to be super easy and convenient. However, after being a customer for several years, I had my first issue with a coupon and did not have a good experience with their customer service (the reason for 3 stars). Specifically, I received a text offer for $50 toward my next purchase if I spent $100 by 11:59pm. What a great deal! I placed an order the same day. However, I did not see a coupon code on the site or the check-out screen, so I assumed this coupon would be sent separately. I used a coupon for 20% off that they had mailed me, but still made sure I met the $100 minimum amount. A month later, still no coupon, so I contacted customer care. They said I did not qualify for the $50 deal because I had used the 20% off coupon at check-out instead. After explaining the issue with no coupon code appearing at check-out and my understanding of the coupon, they responded that they would honor the coupon, and to contact them if I did not receive it in a couple days. I waited a couple weeks, still no coupon. So I contacted them again, and they responded that they would not honor the coupon after all because I had used the 20% coupon instead. I explained the coupon issue a second time, and they ghosted me. After being a customer for several years and this being my first and only issue, I was really disappointed by this outcome and did not feel valued at all. I may still shop here at some point, because I do love the clothes, but I am looking into other clothing brands in the meantime.

Ripoff

Venus really charges high prices for their clothes and when i returned some items I used a ups label that stated I would be charged $6.95. I live in Florida so Venus is very close to me. So on top of the $6.95 they charged an additional $4.95 since my return was not over $75.00? Moral of the story shop AMAZON!

I will say the clothing is nice and good quality. But definitely not worth the headache if you need a refund or return. They will not and cannot refund the duties/taxes that you pay on your order. You must request that through CBSA... what a pain.

I've bought multiple items from this company over the past few year's... from bras and underwear, to shoe's, to dresses... jeans and many tops! All have been of good quality! I've gotten many compliments on their clothing. I've never had any problems or issues with any of the clothes.

I had one mistake (on the companies side), I ordered a dress in a L and was sent a M. I immediately contacted the company and the correct item was sent to me overnight at no cost to me! I of course sent the wrong item back, with prepaid shipping.

I love this company! And will continue to order from them

As for your pitiful response... your apologetic that my experience with you was less than exceptional? Are you serious? I have asked the postal service about tracking and it seems that you're about the only people in the world who can't get their act together - in this day and age of being able track just about anything, anywhere - who can't manage to continuity of tracking through various delivery services. Your apology is worth about as much as the virtual paper I'm typing on. Not only did I not get the items I paid for, I had to wait for my refund. Talk is cheap. How about you shut up shop if you're not prepared to be reputable traders? Obviously I'm not the only one who has fallen foul of your sub-standard morals and ethics (and clothing, from the reviews I've read). Thanks for nothing!

I ordered two items in what I thought was plenty of time to receive them before a very special occasion, i. E. 36 years as a couple with my (now) husband. No tracking details were provided so I had to ask for said details. I wasn't given one, nor was I given the details about the postal service used for delivery so that I could contact them, directly, in an attempt to locate my goods. I was stalled a couple of times after that, including promising a refund (since there was no point in re-ordering my purchases... the time for it to be of use had passed!). Despite a promise that my money would be refunded immediately, I had to contact them some time later to ask for my money, again. Is this part of a scam where people's purchases mysteriously disappear only to re-appear as items sold on eBay by unscrupulous thieves? If so, YOU NEED TO RE-SEND ME MY ORDER, FREE OF CHARGE! Never again will I be sucked in by what I thought was a reputable company with awesome clothing for sale at reasonable prices

I ordered a dress, They don't inform you about them not returning your money in a timely manner, they tell you once you put in your order that Final sales you cannot receive anything for them you can't return or exchange and they say they can't send it back to you once it's ordered. I do not recommend this site and I am very dissatisfied with their response. Minimum that can be done for a customer is credit and to not offer credit on an item that was not even worn and returned in perfect condition is stealing from people that could be loyal customers. It's upsetting to realize how deceiving this site could be. Will not recommend or shop in this site ever and I hope no one else falls for this and read everything even the FAQ's which is where they i form you of this, not even in the right section they let you know.

Amazing

I was reading the reviews I have been ordering from this company for 40 years. I have never had anything but awesome things to say about this place. The clothes fit me perfectly. I absolutely love it and I was really compelled to write when I saw the one stupid review that it was racist. I'm so tired of people falling on that. And before you get all snooty about it my grandchildren are African American. So stop using that as an excuse maybe your credit just was not very good. All you other idiots stop ordering stuff that isn't your size! I have never had a problem with returning anything to this company and I happen to love their clothes and always get compliments on anything I wear. In fact I got a wonderful compliment on a bathing suit I wore on Block Island that I got from this magazine and they recognized it! While I no longer can wear bikinis I can certainly wear their tankinis! And the dresses have never ever failed me. Stop blaming the company. Stop trying to squeeze into things that don't fit you. And the customer service is always been awesome. Why do people feel compelled to always write nasty things? You've done a wonderful job and I will continually order from you and I will just now place an order in the next day or two. So don't disappoint me! LOL! I just felt the need to put something in here because I am so tired of people being mean. Half of it is their own fault.

Loved Everything!

I ordered from venus being sceptical about getting clothes online. Mostly I'm a plus size woman and prefer to try clothes on and also not wanting cheap poorly made material. I bit the bullet and ordered 5 dresses. The shipping was extremely fast and to make it all better, every dress fit me perfectly! The material is not cheap at all. I read some reviews, some scared me about being cheaply made, not even the case. I will be ordering again and I also have my friends that loved my dresses and just placed an order for 4 outfits. Hope my review helped anyone that isn't sure to give you peace of mind, you get what you see and the prices are fair.

Never ever again.

Terrible returns. They send back the returns & keep your money. Rude customer service. I inquired after two months of my return and got my package returned. Called and nothing. Online service nothing. Im now out $198 unless they fix this. Its a scam don't so dont buy from here. They ask their staff to leave reviews because their ratings are poor- fyi- but i thought they would look like what they described. So frustrated I was scammed. Reporting to BBB if not corrected- they dont care

Ladies, I've read the reviews, and I don't think a lot of them are fair. I've been purchasing items for several years now. My wardrobe changes between not only the four seasons in my state, but also between my professional days in the office, to my nights fronting my hard rock band on stage, to slow casual weekends. Fashion changes. So should my wardrobe. I get something new when I've worn it out or the trend has flown away. Love it from the start? It's hand washed lovingly. I've found true treasures, simple trendy pieces, and unique pieces I can use with other staples of my wardrobe.
Not everything will fit or look great on every body. The return slips are easy. I put the item back in the bag, slap on the included preprinted return label, and I'm contacted in a week with an email note that customer service is processing my return.
Things that are exceptional looking sell quickly. Don't put an item in your cart, wait three weeks, and think your size will still be available. Did I mention the excellent returns if it doesn't work for you?
Meet you on the runway some of us call an ordinary life!

You are better off finding a swimming suit at target. Returns cost 7 dollars, no exceptions. The swimming suits all fit weird and are not nice quality. I'm disappointed in the product and the fact its 7 dollars to return them. Don't waste your time.

I have ordered a few items from here and I have an amazing experience everytime. Shipping is always so fast it's incredible! So far I've only had to send one item back just because I didn't like how it looked on me. Even when I returned it I got a credit in only a couple of days. Most companies takes weeks to give a credit or refund. They have the most beautiful clothes and accessories I wish I could order one of everything. My only complaint is their clothes are a little higher than what I think they should be and shipping is $8. However, Venus is amazing and I will continue to shop there!

I have ordered a bath suit online back in May. It was shown on the payment page it would be delivered in June. To which it never did. I called customer service and I was told all of these suits are back ordered and actually they never even got in yet. But to cancel the order and reorder and it will be here by July 3. It's July 4th I call Cds a gain and was told calm down you only ordered it in June... but also it's back ordered but it's not guaranteed. So they knowingly advertise items that they do not even have in stock or are getting in stock... this is the worst company and rudest cashier reps

False Advertising

Venus sent me a text claiming spend $100 and receive a $40 e-cerificate. At check out there was message that congratulations you received free shipping and a $40 e-certificate will be sent to your email. I did not receive the e-certificate. I contacted customer service, who informed me that my subtotal was less than $100. My total was $101.73.
There was no mention of subtotals in the text or on the site at time of purchase. Why did I get the message on their website that I had free shipping and the e-certificate at check out?

First time ordering from this company and I am not pleased they lied about the offer. Even worse, the customer service rep did nothing to resolve the issue. Bad business.

A Scam

I ordered a pair of bottoms recently from the Venus website for 23.99 and upon returning them was only refined 13.95 because of return shipping costs'. Completely unacceptable and their website does not offer the opportunity to place reviews on products that I saw. Would not recommend.

Terrible refund

I qualified for free shipping because of the amount of my purchase. When I returned an item they took off $6.95 to send it back and then another $4.95 for the free shipping of the original order. I would not recommend the store to anyone

This has lead for a month of venus promising to regurn my money. Unfortunately i have lost my tracking number or misplaced and didnt have it. So they decided tostall me like it wasnt important to them at all for them to have good customer service at all. I called in two weeks after or I actuall didnt remember how far after I called after I dropped off the bag of cloths to the post office. Anyway, I sent it to them. They said give it another week and it will show up on there system. I said okay. I called the following week, still nothing, and than I called the following demanding to speak to speak to the manager for my refund, the manager promised to refund my money by the 29 of either way if they dont see the bag or not. I CALLED ON THE 29 ASKING THAT I DONT SEE THE REFUND ON MY ACCOUNT. THE LADY WENT BACL TO THE MANAGER AND THE MANAGER SAID WAIT UNTIL JULY 1 AND THAN WE WILL REFUND YOUR MONEY, AT THIS POINT, I am at total disgrace. This was a total disgrace. As the representative was about hang the phone eith me I told her I have been on this issue with you guys since may 19 this has h
Gone long enough. This is 200 dollars we are talking about. Finally she came back to the phone and she said she was able to refund me the 200 dollars. Even though she was able to refund the money the money back, unfortunately I will not be buying cloths from them again.
