Our two sons went to Russia on holiday, (18 yr old and 16) on the way back British airways check in desk would not let the younger one board the plane to come back home unless he had written permission from us to say he could leave Russia to come home. The older one had to leave him with a friend who came to help. He is now stranded there and Vayama could not be contacted to rebook the ticket. When we finally got hold of them they passed the buck to BA, even though we had insurance through Vayama. BA is no help too. Our son is stuck in Russia. For all Vayama and British Airways know or care he is 16 years old and alone.
We contacted the Russian Embassy and they said the reason for the written permission is because of the human trafficking into the UK. They have to safeguard children. WTF, yes just dump him at the airport in Moscow instead.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Please don't ever book through this company. We submitted a ticket regarding a mistake that was made... a small tiny mistake of a name being off by two letters 14 hours after we booked. We submitted a passport to them to correct this. Their response was pretty much that you have time don't worry about it. We check in again in July as our flight is coming up in August now they say we never recieved a picture of your passport. This is ridiculous so I resubmit the ticket and passport change and now to only have them tell me it was going to be $100 for a two letter name difference. Then they canceled my return flight without notifying me. When finally being guaranteed by a service representative that this will be taken care of this Thursday a few days before my flight he never gets back to me like he said he would. Finally now 2 days before my flight the manager calls me and pretty much says that m 300 something dollar flight now is $2000. Customer service is awful, no one is on the same page, terrible service never booking through them again. There is more and I can't even begin to tell you about the awful conversations and the faulty promises I was given. This company needs to be shut down. Worst experience ever. I don't know if I'll be able to go this upcoming Monday. Vayama you are awful.
I bought tickets through Vayama for my first ever trip to Europe and regret it tremendously. After watching the prices for a while, I bought my tickets on their website 6 months prior to leaving.
Three months after the purchase, I was told flights had changed and I needed to make some adjustments. We pushed the flight forward a day per their recommendation but when they did that, no one moved the seat assignments and upgrades I paid for months back. They didn't even tell me, no doubt hoping to keep the additional revenue and let me deal with the changes when I arrived to check in.
After spending literally hours on the phone asking to have my seats assigned per my purchase, I was promised a total of three times by Eric, Solomon, and John in the Vayama customer service department that I would get my seats and upgrades by email. No emails from any one of them. I finally spoke to a manager, Sam, who said the tickets had not changed so he could not refund me then I mentioned that the dates were different so they did change. Well, I guess that wasn't a change that made a difference so he said I should call the airline. I never paid the airline, I am not their customer, why would I call them and how could they help?
I am looking into disputing the charges with my credit card but that's not a promise I'll get my money back and now I don't trust Vayama to actually have a ticket waiting for me when I get to the airport. They are an awful service and if you give them a dime then you have gambled it with a company that doesn't care about taking care of its customers.
Worst experience ever! When I finally arrived at the check in desk, my booking could not be found in the system although Vayama took the money and CONFIRMED my booking on the phone. Their mess up caused me a lot of damages. I had to stay overnight in a hotel and all they did was an apology and a refund but no reimbursement of the damages at all. I ended up booking it directly from the airline paying twice the price. Never book with Vayama if you want to guarantee a seat!
We tried to fix a spelling mistake on a ticket. We have been given the runaround for weeks. Promises that it would be taken care of we broken over and over. Customer reps just keep hanging up on us.
The absolutely worst experience. Give your business to a legitimate company.
Avoid at any price.
They scammed my credit card.
Extremely low customer service. Impolite and laid a lot
Close to fraud
The worst company of the world terrible customer service and I have chance to talk to one of the supervisor (shame I can't remember her name) I spend over 150$ on phone call from Italy every time I try to call them I have to wait at list 30 minutes and when finally got connect line cut off the are incredible terrible the number one worst comany of the world stay away from them
Worst service ever. If you want to change or cancel any flight. Only thing they want to is get the money for customer any way they can. Do not use this company.
Don't book through these guys. They have practically zero customer service. I was unable to get my refund.
I got their email saying the flight schedule was changed to one day late. I asked them to cancel it. They charged me service fee $100 and partial refund $225. I asked them where they were located. "India". I will tell all my friends that you should never have anything to do with this Vayama company!
When I book through a travel agency I expect them to account for connection time between airports if they are going to offer such a route. I am booking through them because I'm unfamiliar with the area and am expecting them to do it right and/or be accountable if they're not. That's called customer service and good business ethics. When a paying customer can't get ahold of anyone over the phone then in my mind it's a scam. Vayama's incompetence caused me a huge inconvenience while travelling in Europe and I would recommend against doing business with them. Just buy direct.
Absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Booked a flight, from Brussels to the USA through vayama. Unfortunately, I had a death in the family and was unable to take my trip. Vayama offered no help to cancel my flight that I booked through them and told me they would not help. Their customer service has repeatedly been extremely rude and when I asked to speak to a supervisor was told that they would not want to speak to me. They told me I had to cancel my flight directly through the airline TUI Fly. So they cannot help with anything such as flight changes or cancellations, in fact they repeatedly gave me the wrong phone numbers and contact info for the airlines and none of the reservation numbers they repeatedly gave me matched any records at the Airlines. So, I unfortunately had to continue to contact their insistently rude customer service in order to finally get only some of the information I needed. On top of the death of my brother that I had to deal with, I had to be verbally abused and mistreated by this company repeatedly just to make simple cancellation. Avoid this company at all costs! And I will also be avoiding any other company that does business with them.
We are trying to change my husband's inbound flight since May and Vayama told us that they need to transfer my infant to my name first. Vayama took one month to tell us that they cannot transfer my infant to my name (My infant is attached to my husbands ticket). Take note they never call us back, we are the one who keeps on calling them twice a week since they told us it will only take couple of days to fix. Korean Air (The airline) ended up helping us instead. Korean told us that Vayama are the one who responsible of changing any ticket issue/problem but that didn't happen ofcourse. So last week they told us again that we need to wait 2 days to change my husband's inbound and they will call us back. And not a surprise, they did not call us back until now. Not worth it to but through this ticketing company our plane tickets with all the long wait and hassle they gave us calling back and forth.
Vayama is an extremely horrible company when obtaining refunds. A week before departing for my trip, we've had constant alerts of more than 20 earthquakes currently occurring at our destination. I spoke with Vayama on cancelling the ticket and understand the fees necessary to pay to get the refund. After quickly going through the process of paying an extra $35 for service fees and $200 as a partial refund, which is understandable, they promised the refund will occur in a 3-4 months. I've waited and it's been more than 7 months now and NO REFUND. I've been emailing back and forth with a new person on the same email thread for months now with no success. Then they have the audacity to tell me to reach out the the airline myself to get the refund. First of all, the transaction on my bank statement shows that it's paid to Vayama. Second, I tried and both the bank and airline says since the transaction was made to a third party I have to resolve it to them. Why would an airline refund the transaction when it is made with Vayama... If you're planning to purchase a ticket and 100% going to go then perfect. But any issues that arise, good luck this company is horrible in service when trying to get a partial refund when all other fees have already been paid. I travel frequently and Vayama, never again.
Don't book your flight! I have been purchasing tickets online for years and have never encountered such bad customer service. My father's sister had died and he had to cancel his ticket. It has been over 2 months, and only after I called on his behalf and asked to speak to a supervisor that I received a response. Apparently, the cancellation status was not up to date, and they forgot to contact us, 2 days after we canceled the ticket, about the documents that we were supposed to send them. And now, after taking the blame, all they had to say is sorry, and we lost close to 1000 dollars on that purchase. If you have any more questions, and still considering to use Voyama's services, contact me first: Lily Medvedev on Facebook. I will help you change your mind.
Scam, fraud, there are lots of chance not ending up going your trip. Disaster. Customer service is impolite and useless. I wrote comment on the website and vayama agent came and apologized and asked me to leave my booking number, just to show in public that they care about customer. But no action was taking when I sent my booking number.
I booked a couple of hours ago and called back to cancel as all flights are allowed to be canceled within 24 hours of booking - this is part of the DOT'S regulation without charge. I asked for a refund and they said that they will not issue a refund. I asked why and they said because that is their policy. That policy does not exist, if you go on their website, it says to call for information on their cancellation policy and how much it will cost. The lady on the phone, said " they don't follow the law". Um ok, and after asking her a couple questions she couldn't answer, I asked to speak to a supervisor. She said she will not escalate my call to a supervisor. I also had a hard time understanding her so I then asked to speak to another agent. And she refused to let me speak to anyone else. WORST SERVICE EVER! PLEASE DONT BOOK WITH THEM!
Booked tickets to Tokyo through them without too much problem, but in retrospect I would have been better off paying a little more for tickets rather than dealing with the long layovers I had. But I used them again to book tickets from Florence to Copenhagen. They charged me for the tickets but never issued them. I contacted them and was told to email my credit card statement to them. Never heard back from them. Tried calling, waited forty minutes to get through, talked to someone for 5 minutes who asked 3 times for my booking number, which I explained 3 times that I didn't have because no tickets were ever issued, then she hung up on me. Called again, got a different person who asked for a booking number then hung up on me when I couldn't provide one. Gave up and filed a dispute through my credit card company and let them handle it. I'll never book through Vayama again. You get what you pay for. Except with Vayama, I didn't even get that.
I booked over 2 month before my trip to Wurope (in March). Easy to book and a good price. 3 weeks before my trip I got constantly emails that my trip date was changed by 1-3 days earlier. I called and got it fixed but I kept getting same message again, 4 times total and I cancelled my flight. Vayama says that its the airline that does it, customer service and sincerity are not there. Its was very stressful and I probably would have gone through the same "change of schedule" when flying back to US. I did not research this company before booking which was my big mistake. I also learned through my research that Kayak advertises Vayama flight through their site.
To book a flight through them is very risky!
I had to use Vayama to book 2 new plane tickets for my boss and a fellow employee, my boss accidentally chose the wrong departure time. I called Vayama, they looked up the tickets and told me it would be CHEAPER for us to CANCEL the first set of tickets and book NEW flights as opposed to changing the tickets my boss selected.
THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE. I sent the request to cancel the first set of tickets through the website and through the email they list - *******@vayama.com and booked the new tickets. After MONTHS of emailing back and forth, Vayama now says the tickets first booked were not REIMBURSABLE - YET I WAS ADVISED BY VAYAMA THAT IT WOULD BE CHEAPER AND BETTER FOR US TO CANCEL THE FIRST SET OF TICKETS AND PURCHASE NEW ONES.
THIS WEBSITE IS SUPER SHADY AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BEYOND HORRIBLE. I SPEND 3 HOURS ON THE PHONE, WOULD BE ON HOLD FOR 45 MINS AND THEY WOULD DISCONNECT ME. I WOULD BE ON HOLD AND THEN MY END WENT RINGING, I WAS SENT TO A VOICEMAIL AND THEN WAS DISCONNECTED AGAIN.
NOW THE COMPANY I WORK FOR IS OUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR TWICE VIA EMAIL - THAT NEVER HAPPENED.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
