Buyer DO NOT buy from this company! Worst company with the worst customer service ever! I just lost $1000 ticket because of them. I am 100% sure their system $#*!ed up and put the billing information in passenger information, as I definitely confirmed i had all information correct before clicking purchase. Please be aware do not buy, their technical error will cost you!
Terrible, they just stole over $750 from my bank account. I was buying ticket with Kayak and Vayama process it. They took money but never send confirmation or ticket. I call them and they said they don't have my reservation
I had the worst experience with their employees I was going with my husband and my son to attend my neice wedding in Sweden my passport was less than. 3 month they give me the the address to fix my passport withen 24 hour and I took care of my passport I call vayam emediatly afte my. Fraud Company. I recently booked my tickets from Vayama, It was showing relatively cheaper tickets from other site. I bought 100 percent refundable policy for which I paid 33$. Because of my personal reasons I canceled my ticket and out of 520$ I am just getting 260$(told by Vayama people). Basically their insurance only applies for 100$. FRAUDDDD! Did not mention clearly on site. And Rest I asked them for my refund, which is been 20 days and thats what their response.

You're throwing money away with Vayama. I lost $1,500 on a flight schedule because they were going to charge an additional $1,000 to adjust the flights to a date 9 months from now that was 60% the cost of my original flight. I called both the airline and Vayama 6 times over two days and no one could help me.
Hi there my name is Marcel. I purchased one ticket to go to South America. Unfortunately I couldn't fly in that day... so I had to deal with their costumer service team to do change the ticket. I tried to do it during 12 days of frustrating long hours talking to them on the phone. I realize they are a bunch of rippers. I thought it was a joke. I was willing to fly anytime between November and December my original ticket was $1700 they gave me to options one was to fly on the 13th of no member to pay $2000 more then than original ticket or $8500 for 9th of December... I started laughing and recorded the all phone conversation... so I will post it on YouTube as "VAYMA SCAMMERS ". Anyway I lost my flight my money but I will share this with everybody. DO NOT USE VAYMA SCAMMERS ".
I have never written a negative online review in my 27 year old life. I cannot emphasize enough how terrible of a company Vayama is. My wife booked a flight under her maiden name at the time. We had to switch the name to her correct last name sending copies of our marriage license and passport per Vayama rep's request. After a week, I called back and "Karen" which obviously is not her name due to her thick indian accent and apparently the "supervisor", told me that the flight has to be cancelled. I told her that is not the case per the last rep. She then told me to hold on and they would get back with me in an hour. I asked her why I could not get a straight answer and she hung up... like wtf is this boujee s***
I agree with other reviews, the only good thing about Vayama is their great prices and other then that it is horrible.
My husband and I have planned a trip for me to visit him in Korea, where he is stationed for a year. This is the only time I am able to visit due to him being in service. They made a mistake and put my "nickname" as my "last name" but on the e ticket, it is difficult/ almost impossible to realize the mistake since all other name information is correct. (Nickname is merc which is short for Mercedes) I did not know that it was going to print wrong on the boarding pass. When checking in for my flight, I was told I would be unable to board even though I have my passport, military id, etc all in order. I was told I needed to call Vayama which I did and I have never had such horrible customer service! I was hung up on FOUR separate times before finally talking to a rude man who was very unsympathetic and who also hung up on me mid sentence. After calling again, I was told name changes take SEVEN DAYS ( if you book directly with airline they can do it ASAP) but she can put a "note." When I explained that TSA aren't able to look at the notes, I was hung-up on again.
I missed my flight, and I am devastated I won't be able to see my husband. We just got married before he went on assignment and we're treating this as our honeymoon. We lost out on our hotels we booked and the tours we booked as well.
I would not recommend them to anyone.
The only thing good about Vayama is their low-priced fares for some destinations. Rest, its nightmare.
The Customer Service is the worst aspect. There is no accountability of their actions. False promises, misinformation and using non-trained staff is common. There is no care of Customer's time who is waiting on the phone for an hour, the calls are dropped after certain time and this is how you lost your number in the queue.
In my case, ticket needs to be re-issued due to mistake in last name. They asked me to buy another ticket without refunding old ticket money. Charged me $100 Admin Fee for ticket re-issuance. I was told that old ticket money will be refunded within a month. I proceed with new ticket purchase and started to wait for refund. But even after 1-month, refund was not made.
I started my communication via email and was told that it will take another month for refund because nobody at Vayama end ever initiated return request from Airline. At the end, I got the refund after 2+ months of original request with deduction of another $65 Airline fee on top of $100 Vayama Admin Fee.
So, my advise is if you want peace of mind and savings in real, then think 100 times before considering Vayama. Your attempt to save $50 in fares may land you losing several times more with Vayama due to non-serious and pathetic Customer Service.
I paid $275 for 1 extra suitcase on Austrian airlines booked through Vayama. When I asked the check-in assistant how come other airlines usually charge between $50-$100 for an extra piece, he answered that my price was so high because the ticket was booked through vayama... Alas, almost 300 dollars are gone (which is half of my ticket price btw).
1. The first leg of a 2-leg flight was changed, needing me to change the second leg. Both legs originally gotten through Vayama.
2. It's a telling sign that it's very hard to find even their pubic phone number. Go try to find it. Anywhere.
But finding it is worthless._Every time_ I was on hold so long (over 45 minutes) that the call was disconnected.
3. I was desperate since this change in times would make me miss my second leg, get me in late, and blow the whole reason for my trip.
4. Desperate, I finally found another number to call: *******777
If you're dumb enough to use Vayama, then use that number.
Oh, and their customer service email isn't useful either--surprise! Instead use: vayama [at] travix.freshdesk.com
(You'll notice that that isn't a "good" email: It's not much of a real company, you see.)
5. Even using that "secret" phone number and email, it took so long to try to fix things through them that I would have literally missed my flight if I kept trying.
6. Luckily, the airline I got a ticket for (Cathay Pacific) themselves helped me book a flight on a different (non-affiliate) airline to help me out.
Let me restate this:
Vayama was a HUGE problem and of NO help. I had to finally beg the airline to act as my booking agent for another airline!
Tl; dr
Sure, if you never have anything ever go wrong with your flights, maybe consider Vayama. But THEY WILL SCREW YOU if anything goes wrong at all.
I booked a flight to Portugal in Jan, departing in May. The airline made a change to the flight time prior to departure. I cancelled the flight. It's now July and I'm still waiting for my refund. Vayama doesn't reply to emails and you wait forever on hold when calling them. Avoid at all costs. Rather pay a little extra and book with a reputable company like Expedia or Travelocity.
After booking 2 separate flights by comparing prices with other possibilities I received e-tickets with a note of these flights do not include luggage. But the ticket price did not have this warning before the purchase. I could not find an apparent fee on UIA WEBSITE which is the airline for these tickets I assumed a price for 1 bag would be like in USA about $25. But I assumed wrong and paid $170 for only 1 bag for these 2 flights which I find outrageous. I paid for the tickets about $325. I asked vayama customer service for a refund. They denied it. So I got ripped off. Luggage fee must be reflected on the advertised ticket price. So watch out for these rip off genarator.
30 June 2018. I made a reservation from Denver to St. Petersburg, Russia on Vayama.com, after searching kayak.com. After I got to Russia, I realized I needed to make a change. In trying to do so, I experienced the worst customer service I have ever encountered when dealing with a flight reservation. I had to send 4 or 5 emails, make several calls, and spent approximately 1 hr. Holding on the phone with no answer. I did reach them through their website email and was advised of the additional fare of a $200.00, additional charge. I accepted this fare increase, and responded to their email that I wanted to make the reservation. There was no response. My next step was to contact their +31 emergency phone number. I was able to make the change for additional charge of $1050. 00. I had already spent over $3000 on the fare for two adults. I will never use Kayak.com or Vayama.com again.
I booked a flight with this site twice! Thinking the first time just didnt work and perhaps there was an innocent excuse as to why. Instead I received the exact same thing the second time... NOTHING! They didnt send confirmation emails, didnt respond to my email inquiries and hung up on me (if they answered at all) when I desperately tried calling to inquire about my flight! The delay ended up costing me an additional $100 from another site as well as more than two hours spent calling long distance for answers!
Vayama is a booking engine that cannot facilitate a booking!
We booked flight for 4 adults to Switzerland last fall for this July.
Since then our Daughter (one of the adults) found out she was pregnant and that timing was going to be very close to flight date. Tried to cancel the ticket for she and her husband but insurance said pregnancy didn't qualify as a. Worthy medical reason to cancel and get refund. So we hoped for the best.
Baby has been born and will be good for the trip. Checked w airline about ticket for the baby and we're told no problem it's just a 10% add on fee because baby is a newborn, and that Vayama should process thhe fee since they booked us for original tickets.
Call to Vayama didn't go well. Rep for Vayama said that it was $600 not the 10% fee airlines stated and also said airline was wrong.
Called airline, which said must be Vayama wasn't aware of the process. They said to have Vayama call them and they would teach the Vayama rep how to process the charge properly.
Called Vayama back, they said " no, we don't speak to the airlines".
A request was made to speak to a supervisor, response was "no, I'm speaking to you now and I am handling this call, the charge is $600. Another request for supervisor resulted in a hangup from the Vayama rep...
This company is terrible. They will add on any expense they can and leave you hanging with empty pockets.
This company is terrible and completely not trustworthy. I booked an international flight on their website and after I made the payment, the website said it didn't go through. I then booked the same flight on a different company and learned the next day the transaction from Vayama did indeed go through. Nevertheless, I purchased the same flight twice. I called Vayama and explained my situation and they berated me for not understanding how this technicality and policy work. Worst, they said if I canceled they would refund me 2/3 of the flight, but of course, that too was a lie. Speaking with them over the phone was a total waste of time and complaining to the floor manager was futile as he complained back at me for not taking action earlier. I don't think this company is a complete mess, but my experience left me baffled and I will never use them again.
In my 78 years of extensive travel, this is by far the most messed up and difficult travel site we have ever used. They made many mistakes with the reservations I made for four people to fly to the Philippines, and refused to make any refund for a cancellation due to a medical emergency.
Learning the basics of flying a plane is not too difficult. What separates a good pilot from a bad pilot, however, is how they handle the unexpected and unforeseen events.
I apply this same principle to Vayama. As long as there are no problems, you probably got a pretty good deal on your ticket. Once a problem is encountered, however, Vayama is nowhere to be found.
I purchased my tickets from RDU (Raleigh) to MUC (Munich) months in advance. We originally had a two-hour layover in Dulles before boarding a Lufthansa flight to Munich. In the interim, I received two emails notifying me of scheduling changes to the RDU-IAD flight on United. The second changed the departure time so that we now had only a one-hour and twelve minute layover in Dulles. I knew that this would not be enough time if there were any unexpected events getting to Dulles.
Sure enough, the day of the flight thunderstorms delayed our flight from RDU to IAD long enough that we missed our flight to Munich. I was aware of this potential and emailed Vayama the day before, asking to rebook us on an earlier flight. I didnt know if that was possible, but I never even heard back from them on this.
At Dulles, it took me about ½ n hour to finally get in touch with a Vayama rep, who sounded like I woke her up from a nap. She was absolute no help and acted as if it was a real nuisance that she had to deal with finding us another flight to Munich.
Fortunately, my wife was simultaneously on the phone with United, who booked us on a flight the next day for no extra charge. We lost a day in Munich, one nights lodging, and the price of a rental car in Dulles so that we wouldnt have to sleep in the airport. I have contacted Vayama and am waiting to hear back from them.
The remaining flights went as planned.
Where to begin? I was charged $900 for tickets that I was told 'weren't actually confirmed' when I arrived at the Kathmandu airport in Nepal. I could see my tickets online, but could not board the plane. Calling many times the following two days, no one would give us a refund or help us. I'm now trying for a full refund and will file a fraud claim with Chase if I have to. I can't imagine worse service- please, please book directly with the companies you see the tickets are through, even if you search through Kayak. It's also good to remember when traveling in countries abroad that small airports often can't help you and their sales teams aren't big enough to do anything, especially last minute. Anyway, worst treatment and travel experience ever.
