Michael Trent Reznor, born May 17,1965, is an American singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. He's best known as the founder and creative force behind the industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails (NIN), where he's the lead singer and primary songwriter. Reznor started playing piano at age five and also plays saxophone and tuba. He joined his first band, Option 30, in college and later played keyboard in Cleveland bands The Innocent and The Exotic Birds.
