USPS site sucks!

I have been trying to stop my mail for the time of my travel and spent almost an hour without any success. First it didn't recognize my password, which I have written down. Then it didn't recognize my answers about the city I was born and my mother's maiden name. At last, I was too tired to try and decided to sing up again. Now it didn't allow me to do it, saying that my phone number was connected to another account. When at last I managed to change and open my account with a temporary password, it didn't allow me to stop my mail, because the page to put start and end dates didn't work. I have been stopping my mail at least twice a year and it always was easy. Now I am disgusted! Do I have to drive all the way to the post office to do such a simple thing as stopping mail?

Just in the year 2023 alone, I have had 4 packages get lost in transit. Mind you, I wouldn't care if this was a minor post card or junk mail getting lost in the abyss, but that isn't the case. It has been expensive items; cell phones, car parts, car accessories. Stuff you can't easily expect a vendor to replace without putting up a fight. And these fights always seem to get pushed onto the buyer. So what happens when you're tasked to contact USPS? Smh, you're on a long, dark road alone. Phone calls - forget about it. Emails? You may get a reply. Facebook messenger? You'll get a response. But the reps online are of NO help. In person? All they will do is a file a claim. Let them file a claim on your missing package and then report back to the vendor and get your money back or another item shipped to you. It's sad it even has to come to that.

I wish the government would just let the USPS go belly up. America has a way of letting privatized companies outdo their own government. The post office is no exception.

HOWEVER, if you enjoy playing Russian roulette with your packages, USPS is most certainly the route to go!

I mailed a Birthday card to my Step son. He never received the card. It was returned as underliverable and unable to forward. However, the envelop had been opened and a $50.00 dollar bill stolen!

Always Reliable

I am completely satisfied and amazed at the service and reliability of the US Post Office. Every time! I usually use the Priority Mail service and I think that helps. The priority mail cost is nearly the same as first class, plus it includes insurance. They never let me down. Thank you US Post Office!

I recently moved across the country and shipped several boxes of my belongings. While I didn't expect everything to arrive intact, I was disappointed to see that several of my items arrived broken beyond repair despite being packaged in several layers of bubble wrap with several fragile stickers adorning the outside of the boxes. One of my boxes was torn open and completely mangled. If you have the option of selecting an alternative shipping method, I suggest you do so if you want your fragile items to arrive in one piece.

Poor Service Pennsboro WV

First time in fifty years completely not satisfied with postal service.She Opened my storm door letting my chihuahua out and he nipped her! Tiny bruise. I picked my dog up and me and my dog nearly got pepper sprayed! Then they refused to deliver my mail! Animal control came to my house and I had to prove my dog had his shots! I had to get a mailbox along the road! Several packages were not sent to my mailbox they were kept at post office with no notices. When I have to get stamps there they don't even give me choices of stamps! Not good service!

Horrible Service

Some of these carriers need to go through training of how to put the correct mail and packages in the proper location. At least 2 times a week I get my mail placed in which ever box they like that day rather than in the proper box, people need there packages and then to get a message that your item was delivered yet you go to get it and nothing, but 2 or 3 days later a neighbor delivers your item with a number not even close to yours. It's getting old and I'm tired of it. Fix it!

"Priotity" Mail?

After paying for a Priority Mail service and waiting 1 week without a delivery, the best that Alfreida Nixon, a Supervisor "Customer Service" was able to provide was a:

It is very possible for the item to have been delivered

It took 3 calls to 3 different agents Cirem, Rihana and Chris, a case opening, an escalation to the case, and a Search Request (MRC 23 1670 3964) to finally, one week later, get USPS to search my package and deliver it to the final destination (in Chicago). USPS Chicago team had my package for over a week without delivering it. I really hope my package is not damaged.

If you want your package to be deliver use anything except for USPS

Tracking an Amazon order to be delivered on Friday Aug 25 to Biloxi, Ms. 1st to Atlanta, Ga then 3 days in Mobile, Al, then 1 day in Palatine, Il, then Back to Atlanta, Ga it is now the 30th of August! I bet it goes back to Mobile, Al again.

On August 18th 2023 I sent a letter with a notification from Waterford MI to Southfield MI. And only today August 29 th my letter was delivered to the recipient. The letter traveled over 10 days from one city to another in the same state. USPS works very bad.

I had to update my kids passport and the website clearly says, parents holding green card need not submit address proof. We just took our green cards to the Ellicott City branch with an appointment. The first lady that we went to was so rude and was talking to us in frustrating tone and wanted some address proof. She did not want to hear us out. We live very close to USPS and My husband said, he can very quickly get the address proof for her but she said, he cannot leave too. I don't know what her problem was. Then a nice colleague of her name Ayesha said that for parents with green cars, there is no need for address proof. Still the first lady was not ready to accept that. And very rudely she told Ayesha that "Then you might have to do this. I am not ready to handle this case". Thankfully, Ayeshe was very kind and took all the proofs that we had and was very polite while talking to us.
I wanted to tell the first lady I went to that she needs to update herself or else request the website to be updated as she wants.
And I wish there are people like Ayesha everywhere. This world will be a nice place.

Twice bitten

Second time they've lost my package.ibeven requested they hold it and contact me when it arrives.someone calls me and says it's at my home I get home and nothing.again!I can't believe my carrier can't read numbers on the house.i can't use sites that use USPS anymore.its infuriating and expensive to me to keep buying twice

I hate to leave a horrible review, but the usps sucks! Things are never on time, and too many wrong mail, and package deliveries. Once a month there's an error so just think how many more there are. My mail usually comes around 10:30 a.m., and knowing that helps plan trips, and etc., but every time I am waiting on item either the item comes around 8, or the postal worker is to lazy to deliver. UGH!

Delivered 3 days early

I just wanted to thank USPS. I ordered medication from Oregon and was told it would be to my door Monday August 28,2023 by 9pm.

I ran out of my meds Friday August 25,2023. Then God answered a prayer, and my package was delivered 3 days earlier than the USPS Site said it would be delivered.

I don't know anyone who works at USPS, but I would like to thank every employee from drivers to sorters, God Bless you all for the wonderful job you are doing!

Speeding 80 plus in 65

I was getting on the freeway at boomtown on I-80. The us mail truck did not yield to me getting on the freeway he didn't slow down or get over then proceed to get extremely close and makes arm jester that I'm going to slow... I was doing 70 in a 65. He didn't slow down and continued to fallow me as close as he could for miles.

Corruption!
