Terrible service. They make it difficult to cancel your service. I called and talked to a representative who was very rude and condescending. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. This was honestly the worst interaction I've ever had as a customer.
So I asked them to cancel via email, because I couldn't afford it (I have a toddler to take care of. Kids are expensive). Then they sent me a letter in the mail saying "we ultimately demand you pay us or else we will ruin your credit score." Little did they know that I'm an RCMP officer, sent them a very angry email, and haven't heard back from them. Guess they don't like the idea of jail.
DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!
I decided to cancel my subscription immediately but couldn't log in until I copied/pasted my new user name and password from their password reset email. I logged on finally and wasted about 10 minutes attempting to cancel online only to be directed to call. I called and was put on hold for about 5 minutes and then was directed to their cancellation department where it was done immediately. I received a cancellation confirmation email within minutes. Hopefully that is the last I hear from them.
They used my first account information to re-register me in a new account asking me to pay for it. I never wanted to pay them for their useless service. Just tell them to F*** off. THey can do nothing. Your credit history will never be effected. It is a service that you never agreed to pay for, they can do nothing. Believe me.
Do not use this company for anything they will fleece you. If you paid using paypal talk to them as they are aware of this companies dealings.
If you want a genuinely good newshosting service then use www.newshosting.com. Never had any problems with them
I have had a similar issue. I tried canceling at the 14 day trial and they indicated I did not meet the cut-off because of the time difference. This was in 2015. Fast forward to 2017 and I just got a collection letter. I provided them proof of me trying to cancel in 2015, but they indicated unless I have a cancelation confirmation that I still owe. Has anyone had experience with this? Did this get reported on your credit?
Was lured into giving my bank details for a free trial. They quickly deducted $1=Rs. 70 INR from my account. Wrote 35 mails complaining about theft. But to no avail. Actually they replied to my query by writing separate mails intead of hittinh the reply button. Their 16 mails in response to my complain, initially said they are overburdened but will shortly solve the matter. To 19 of my later complains they said i 've to pay annual subscription of $99. WOW. I DO NOT GET FREE TRIAL. I COMPLAIN OF FORGERY IN MONEY AND LOGGING AND THEN I END UP LOOSSING RS. 7000 AS ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION TO THEM. BANK SAYS THEY CANNOT AUTHENTICATE OVERSEARS TRANSACTION. So please be care ful friends.
If you don't cancel and they will continue to charge you and send you to Collection.
TAKE MY WORD. DON'T $#*!EN EVEN THINK ABOUT THEM. THEY ARE CROOKS AND SCUM OF THE WORLD!
Do NOT sign up for them. It is a scam and will take your info, and there's no way to cancel besides cancelling via Paypal/CC. I tried calling twice (as instructed after trying to cancel online with no success), and was on hold for over 30 minutes each time, never speaking to a real person. I figured it was a scam and called Paypal. Then I got a letter from them where they threatened to ruin my credit rating! Do not use this service.
After i sew dey don't have white i won't i tried to cancel and it was a really hard process It seems like they want to force you to be charged the prescription fee And now I do understand why they are asking you to enter your credit card before your trial, To the conclusion i belief It's a great scam, So my friend check it out before you are prescribing!
I contacted the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, please everyone do the same, we have to stop Usenet.nl
Here is the link: http://www.antifraudcentre.ca/reportincident-signalerincident/index-eng.htm
That s the only effective way to stop this fraudulent company
I cancelled during the free trial and they are trying to send me to collections. I'm not going to pay them and I recommend no-one else does either. I don't know why PayPal allows them to use their platform.
Here is my whole story: https://toughnickel.com/scams-fraud/Is-Usenetnl-a-scam
They sent me a paper saying, I own them 110 EUR. There such a scam, I never subscribed to there services. DON'T NOW HOW THEY GOT MY INFO!. Don't fall for there tricks, I don't know how there still in BUSINESS!
This is a scam. After I couldn't download the ONE file I was interested in (or even find it), I tried to terminate my trial subscription. It is an arduous process, it twice wouldn't accept the password they sent to me 10 minutes previously... eventually I got to the page where you must "finish the process by phone." I called three times, eventually spoke to a human. When they transferred me to the correct "department" the voice system said there was a 15 minute wait and hung up on me. I removed the PayPal debit card I used after reading this site/these reviews. Then I trashed the application, now have fingers crossed that I "escaped!" I don't have time to start a dispute with PayPal today, but that will be my next step.
They just sent me a letter asking for 110 euros for a service that I never got!
It is a scam, stay away from it
I don't know how they got details. They want to charge me for a service that I know nothing about. As soon as I saw the amount taken from PayPal. I called the company, explained that that someone has stole my details to pay for your service. They told me to call the police and put the phone down.
I disputed the payment with PayPal, they got my money back. And blocked Usenet.
I now get demanding letters from a German dept collection service, which I am very worried about.
I logged my issue with Usenet on the action fraud website. Which is a uk organization which tackles cyber fraud. And is run by police.
By reporting Usenet to action fraud you, will be adding to their info and highlighting the company as a dangerous fraudulent company.

They took $100 out of my account when I was suppose to be charged monthly $12. They have no supervisors and refuse to return the money even if you cancelled. %100 a foreign scam compay. Stick with USA verified company's. Or be out of 100 bucks
I'm not even sure how they got my details (though it may have been when I was looking for an out of print file). The file was a complete fabrication. They said they had notified me several times that my "trial" was running out, but I had gotten nothing of the sort! Filed a complaint with PayPal, and hope to get my money back. How are these people even in business?
Answer: I've been getting them for nearly a year now. Nothing has happend beyond getting letters
Answer: I subscribed to a 14 day trial and like many quickly was faced with the difficulty of unsubscribing and locked into a 1 year plan. They will hunt you down and make you pay with a debt collector, so the only viable push back is legal support. If this has happened to you, report it to econsumer.gov and your local authorities, the more of us who report it, the more likely they will be investigated and face criminal charges.
Answer: They took money from me too but Paypal reversed it! They continued to send me me letters each time upping the amount. I have just this minute spoken to a Paypal adviser. Who said.`Don`t worry theres nothing they can do. Paypal have jurisdiction over them. If Paypal decides they are fraudulant theres nothing they can do! If they continue to harass you got to the police and ask for a harassment form... ignore them don`t pay ANYTHING TO THEM!
Answer: I haven't paid and I won't, if you ignore it as I am, then, if they want to peruse the matter they would have to get a court order to send in the bailiffs. I highly doubt they would attempt this, as shady companies, a, do t want to raise attention to their dubious practices and b) they wouldn't win anyway, as I've never even used this services what evidence could they present? It's worth noting that such threating letters could easily be deemed as harassment and you have every right to contact the police and press criminal charges!
Answer: Yes you can. With my experience working with them it's either going to be far easier or the only way to go through PayPal versus going to them directly
