USBANK solicited me to apply for a business card with $500 reward after spending $4500 in the first 150 days. When they set it up they gave me card and separate card for wife with different number. They billed us on one statement like we have one account which we believed we had. When rewards time came they separated statements and stated no reward because $4500 charged to neither card even though the single statements totaled more than $4500. We were never advised that the two cards would be treated as one account for billing and payment purposes but separately for rewards. It appears to be a "gotcha" by USBANK. When I contacted the person who solicited me to get the card she stated that I would receive the reward. Another person from the bank told me the same. Apparently some bank employees were not aware of the "gotcha" that USBANK built into the procedure. Beware of any dealings you have with USBANK.
I went to closing with a fixed rate mortgage and one year they said they made an error changed my mortgage call to confirm that it was changed and that there was no issues with the escrow and said I was all current. In July they doubled my mortgage and did not put any money in the future escrow account. The only Bank I have EVER worked with that does not calculate the future escrow. They refuse to work with me! As a single mom working two jobs they increase my mortgage by $800 a month. The staff was extremely dismissive and refuse to even do bi-weekly payments to help with this massive change in my financial situation. US Bank is extremely unprofessional and they do not communicate to their members when they do not pull escrow out for the future year leaving their customers with a doubled mortgage payment with one week notice. I will never ever ever recommend US Bank to anyone!
Beware when calling their customer representative, all of them has very bad attitude, no matter when you call or whoever trying to help you, they treat you like you're not even a customer, they sigh when you have a question, they don't feel like explaining stuff that you don't understand and they hung up on you so quick when you finish without saying thank you.
They closed my account without any warning! They said they sent a letter 2 months before to verify my information and they didn't get a reply. So in 2 months no calls, emails, text, or follow up letters. In which the supposed letter I never received in fact for the 10 years I've been a customer with them they never did this why now? They are going to loose a lot of business this way! I hope they go under in this economy, I'll be the first one to cheer! Oh yeah last email I got from these basterds was 9 months ago, yes I checked my spam too.
Us Bank is charging my auto dealer a 6k early payoff penalty because I will not lease my new car with US Bank. I am trading my vehicle in a year early as my needs have changed. I now have to keep my vehicle as I can't afford to pay 6k extra for a vehicle. Payoff is now more than I paid for the car. Run away from this bank.
Bad customer service. The worse service received by supervisor Alsinio and representative Debra. They don't like to listen to customers explanation and they just keep repeating themselves. Miserable people behind the phone. They need to replaced with people that deserve this positions. I called in for charges that was done on my account that I should of not be charged they denied on helping me. Im going to close my bank soon as my account is down to 0
My dad's account was frauded. He has one source of income which is social secuirty. His debit card was compromised and $6500 dollars worth of products and services were purchased by some crooks. We reported to US Bank fraud department and they don't want to help my dad or give him his money back. They didn't investigate it or anything, instead they said that my dad actually made those purchases. This is completely unacceptable. The things that were purchased by these crooks, my dad at his age doesn't even have clue about. US Bank left my dad with no money in his account. They abandoned him completely.
I signed the paperwork 5 days ago and still no online access to my heloc. I finally got an email response indicating I would receive a debit card and checks but I have no use for them. No one seems to be able to tell me if and when I will have online access
As I mentioned they're fraud team has locked me out of my accounts and all my monies left me stranded for days a new update my bank calls me just a little while ago and my banker what a wonderful person she is was concerned and made sure that I am aware that my account has been reopened and back in full control of myself thank God for good bankers I just think they're fraud team needs to be more quick at judging and getting things shifted and put back in control because it sure took an awful lot of days like the pandemics over get off of it get back to work people I don't know why it would take three full business days before they can release my funds somebody on the front end decided to make a decision over addresses but didn't want to follow through with releasing it after my banker and her manager had tried getting in touch with these people my banker and her manager were even ignored for 2 days over this and thank God for good bankers who helped me with a Band-Aid yesterday towards getting some of the salt out of my wound of being stranded so yes my bank has released my funds back to me and all things are good and back on track thank you to the Lakewood banker branch and the battleground Branch for helping me through the rough moments
I would say from my experience U.S. Bank Platinum Visa must be the worst card in the universe.
I don't recommend this card.
I have spent countless hours on the phone with customer service and nothing ever gets fixed. The only thing that got fixed was my ability to make my monthly payment which I couldn't do before.
The customer service staff are even confused by the App.
My card hasn't worked for about 4 weeks now. I really don't want to call again because it's always a waste of time for me. I am considering opening another card just to get away from this nightmare.
To top it off the numbers on the card are very hard to read due to lack of contrast.
I would avoid this card like the Corona virus.
When I called a couple of U.S. Bank branches in my area (Newport Beach California) to obtain information for opening a checking account none of the personnel at any of their branches had any idea about their checking account products, rates, minimums, and options or how to open a checking account. During my first call to their branch near the airport, a Hispanic employee woman (I know from her accent) answered the branch's phone and put me on hold to supposedly - let me find out. Not only did she put me on hold for a solid 20 minutes without ever getting back to me or letting me know why it was taking them so long, but when I hung up and redialed the number again she answered and wanted to put me on another hold. When I interrupted her and said she already had me on hold for 20 minutes, she replied and said she was still looking. At that point, I suggested she should take my phone number and call me back when she finds out, but to this date, which has been four days since then she has not called back. I even called the bank's 800 corporate/customer service number thinking it will be a faster service and a better experience but they too had no idea what they were doing. Their corporate/ customer service kept transferring my call back and forth to their various mortgage departments and all the other non-related departments until one of their experts dropped the call or perhaps even intentionally and willfully hung up on me. Following these two events, I called their 17ths Street branch in Costa Mesa/Newport area and when I told that branch manager (another Hispanic lady) about my experience, she became angry at me and began talking over me trying to tell me how great of a bank they are, and slammed the phone on me. When I called back to let her know what I now really thought of her and why I think this poor bank will be going down the sewers pretty soon because of the poor attitude of their employees and not the bricks and mortars that they are housed in, she would not pick up the phone during their business hours and my call was sent to the voicemail/answering machine at the branch.
I sent them $48,000 3 weeks ago. Still trying to get it paid off. Every time I call for an update I get a different reply. Even had their complaint dept. to help and even they can't believe the issues I have had!
I really hate this bank is so bad and they keep stilling money out my account they take forever to pick up there phone they said they was going to get me my bank card in a week and did not they have the worst costumer service this bank is so bad please don't bank with them
US Bank has been with us for years. We appreciate all the hard work they've put into helping us out as customers. Our family has been with US Bank since I opened my first account at 18! We love the bank and they're all over, especially if you look around. Some people don't know it but they do offer locations in Hawaii, especially if you look through yelp and 711. Thank you again for everything US Bank!
US Bank is my mortgage lender and it has been the worst experience I have ever had. They are rude and not one person will tell you the same thing, everytime I call someone tells me something different. They lie and refuse to give their names so you can ask for the same person next time you call back. We were supposed to close on our house and couldn't cause US Bank was taking too long to send one document to the title company. The supervisor said she will review it when she has time. Don't bank with them cause they don't care and won't help.
Sad to say that US Bank bought the bank where my father had all his accounts. And now I'm trying to deal with the most unprofessional Trust department I could ever imagine. Young inexperienced people are making poor decisions about my Trust fund, and there's nothing I can do! Do NOT trust them with your money!
You cant use your own money, nothing works, neither debit nor checks despite verifying address and ID
After multiple calls and follow up I cannot transfer my money out. I am currently travelling in the UK and have to fly back just to close this bank account that has done nothing to help me access my funds.
They take your money I made a deposit of $700 I got notification that it posted, they decided it's risk and put a two week hold on it, and it had cleared and they still would not release the funds
Awful beyond awful
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
