Documents for loan requirements are arduous, and senseless. If requirements needed were shown at beginning of loan process, I would had found another lender. I regret using US BANK.
They deserved 0 stars. Rewards are not charged correctly, website is full of fake advertisement and call center employees are the rudest ever. Do not wate your time with this bank. There are many out there.
I had US bank and they like to charge overdraft fees and switch dates around so this can happen. Make sure you always keep you receipts and monitor your a count daily. Since this issue I had automatic payments coming out and it messed up my credit. Also I went in to explain and show the manager as well as staff the issue and they did not even let you explain at all they were rude and thought they were always right. This is why they are going to be sued. I have four printed out statements all of them read different so be careful to choose different bank.
I opened an account with US Bank then discovered you have zero physical locations in Myrtle Beach, SC. I opened the account with $250.00 in November, on 11/28/22 I closed the account and was told the only way to get my money back was via US Mail aka Snail Mail. Here we are 12/24/22 and I still DO NOT have my money. I have made many calls and was finally told a replacement check would be sent out. Today, Christmas eve I was called by someone who told me they are sending VIA US MAIL SNAIL MAIL a form that I need to sign and have notarized before my money will be returned. At this point "Check is in the mail" is another code for stolen and fraud on behalf of US Bank. I am going to copy and paste this complaint and plaster it all over social media. I want my money back. You are a bank and should be able to do a refund to the card that I used. This is theft, clear and simple. Why is it that US Bank uses the MAIL service? Are you a bank from the 1800's. I am going to send this complaint to anyone and everyone and warn them NOT to bank with you.

US Bank has the most confusing and inefficient system for paying credit card balances online. I would avoid any US Bank credit card. Not worth the hassle of dealing with such a broken and confusing online system. I think it was designed by a first grader.
I've requested management to call back as regular service reps were unable to resolve issues. 3 tickets and more than 2 weeks already and they are still so cowardly to even provide a response.
What a joke for federally regulated institution to scam customers by stating "hey we can just invented new rules on the fly, and we're not obligated to notify you first"
Better not do business with the low life scammer, management will avoid contacting you to resolve issue and remain cowardly silent.

Picture this if u will... an elderly obviously dementia suffering man, over 85 elderly, walks into US Bank... after visiting 4 other banks... This elderly man was denied a loan for 80 grand by all 4. US Bank was able to approve the loan... to this elderly man. A little over 20% was spent paying off debt. He took the check for the remaining amount to his own bank and they refused to cash the check. The teller said they felt the man was being scammed. This money was then returned to US Bank. Within a year... the elderly man passed away... leaving the 20% of the afore mentioned the loan, to be paid off by his children. It's been 2 years since he passed away, and despite his family as well as their lawyer contacting the bank, multiple times to get the amount of loan payoff for this loan... no one has gotten back to them. They were served with foreclosure on his home recently as a way to pay off the debt which has now grown three times the original amount. Who gave this man the loan in the first place... this man could not remember his name or address but US Bank loaned him money?!?!?! No one has a problem paying the original owed debt... it has been offered more than I can count. US Bank continues to ignore countless attempts to contact and pay the loan... they have put his house up for auction instead. WHO THE HELL WOULD GIVE AN 85 YEAR OLD A LOAN FOR 80 GRAND? Who does that? Greedy Mother Truckers... W T F THE BANK DOESNT WANT JUST THE AMOUNT OWED? Is been offered and fallen on deaf ears... now his child whom is now living in this home HOMELESS.
PLEASE do not trust these people with your money I promise you you will regret it. First off, try and actually contact them I think it will tell you absolutely everything you need to know.
Their website is just awful. Nothing works. And their staff can't help.
Every time I go to the bank, they say they have no clue and can't help. Then they try to go on their website and of course, the website doesn't work. So they say "sorry. Come back later"
This bank sucks. Worst bank ever.what bank holds a check for 10 days. And the people who works for this bank are very unhelpful. There is nothingn good about us bank.very unprofessional. That use your money and the people that banks with them.
US Bank has the worse customer service that I have ever experienced with any bank for over 50 years!
Have been a customer with this bank for years, but the customer service is the WORST I have ever endured. RUDE customer service & Fraud people to deal with. Transferred multiple times, hung up on multiple times, and 3 hours on the phone just today. They won't let you explain a problem or try to resolve anything. Will dump this bank as soon as possible for a more helpful bank that believes in customer service.
Just left the US bank branch inside the Safeway on Campbell and Broadway in Tucson, AZ for an 11:00 scheduled appointment. Sat outside waiting for 45 minutes while clerk, Renee was glancing up at us while taking care of her previous customers and was clearly running late. At no time did she come out and let us know she would be with us soon and then when we were finally greeted, zero acknowledgement or apology that she ran late. After we sat down, we asked how long it would take and her response was "l don't know". I told her that all we needed to do was take my sons connected student checking and give him his own. She then said it would take 45 minutes. When l told her that my son had to work she just showed us the door with no apologies or any consideration for our wasted time. I had to ask if we could complete the transaction via phone and she responded yes. All attitude and no compassion or solutions. What a terrible experience and what a horrible human being that has no right to be in customer service!
I have had a US Bank credit card for many years with a $25,000 limit. I never go even close to my limit. I have been receiving offer letters for a new Altitude credit card with a confirmation code. I like the benefits of the new card so I applied. I have absolutely perfect credit and pay off all of my credit cards every single month and have no additional debt but a small mortgage. I have by any standard a significant income. When I got approved for the new credit card they approved me for a $500 credit limit. I couldn't believe it as that is almost useless I called and explained that I don't need any more credit and in fact I would be happy to reduce the limit on the other card by an equal amount to this card. Every other bank will swap credit limits between card. They said that they don't do that. I appealed for a credit line increase and a day or so later got a decline letter explaining that I already had maximum credit, completely ignoring that I don't want more credit. I called again and even a senior underwriter is unable to either increase a limit or swap credit limits. They said they need to see 6 months of payment history. I have 45 years of payment history on my credit report showing perfect credit as well as many years of perfect credit on my other US bank credit card being paid in full every month. The have no ability to solve a good customers issue no matter who you talk to. I even tried calling the corporate office and was sent back to the wrong department. I will never understand the incompetence of giving a top notch customer a $500 limit on a credit card and have no ability to have even a senior underwriter resolve it.
They closed my account because of a wire transfer, I was sending money to another bank and they stopped the wire transfer. Because it was my first transfer and I was making it a business investment in to Real estate but the fraud department would not even listen to what I had to say. Even though I had routing number and account number. I had something come up on a text message while talking to them on the phone as I was reading out loud and the fraud department Jenny totally missed understood what I was saying as i was reading a text message at the same time. She didn't know I had lost my father and my family had text me during this time when we were talking. Considering I had something going on and multitasking at the same time. So they close my account. And told me I would never bank with US bank again. Apparently they think everything is a scam and fraud even though money is real and legit. Especially the money coming out of my account to go to another bank was legit. Terrible customer service departments especially the fraud department. Then I was told it would be 3 to 5 weeks for a cash your check to come to me when I need to pay my rent today. They have totally inconvenienced my life. So now I have to make arrangements with all my bills thank you very much US Bank fraud department. Thank you for interfering in a business transaction.
Our money is not safe here
And even worse... To processa claim when u are a victim of a Fraud that happened under their nose... They delay the process, mistreat the Fraud victim, provide conflicting or contradictory information
I haven't been even se tthe appropriate paperwork to start the process and get my money back.
To make it even worse... They dont have a time-line to tell costumers when are they getting their money back
I had been fairly satisfied with US Bank until recently. A fraud alert placed on my user name. Couldnt tell me why, couldnt access my account. Trip to physical bank couldnt help. First call said to wait 24 hr for the hold release, then it was 48 hr. Cant pay bills. Headed out of the country for a trip and unable to handle bills before Ieave. Staff at physical location are very helpful. Started when tried to make a zell payment
Thought US Bank was making a comeback as I used to use them all the time. Unfortunately they are still stuck in old ways and refuse to adapt to new changes and processes. The company is very archaic and not proactive.
I have a personal and business account with US Bank. Their online banking needs to be improved. Their customer service is horrible with the exception of a few that are very knowledgeable. It seems that some customer service personnel is giving the "silent quitting" treatment. I called on a Friday morning at about 1am, the first representative did not seem knowledgeable and seems to give me the run around on all my questions for her. After 25 minutes of frustration, I hung up on her and called back and was able to get a knowledgeable representative to help me. It is frustrating but I have learned to end the conversation immediately with incompetent representatives and keep calling back until I get a knowledgeable rep. It is very sad that these representatives are incompetent but it is today's norm. I will still bank with US Bank for the time being.
I don't have enough space to list all the problems I had with this bank it's unbelievable. Stay away!
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
