Not pleased with this company at all. Claims to take 1-2 days to post payments then blames my other bank when the payments don't post. When I contact the other bank and get documentation that it's not my bank, IS Bank admits that it can take up to 5-7 business days to post on their end.
Shady company that lies until they are caught in a lie. Will be paying off this card and stopping business with them. I'll go find another institution through Nerd Wallet that meets my needs better and at least attempts to be honest about wrongdoing.
I was doing some complicated transactions at the Lake St. Louis branch involving several accounts in March. Shareen was so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I had every confidence that she was making no mistakes while explaining carefully for my understanding. Her talents are being wasted as I think she could run a bank! Thanks Shareen!
I can't believe they have an A+ rating by the BBB, obviously customer service and integrity are not part of the BBB's evaluations after reading all the reviews and complaints. It took 5 months, several phone calls and ultimately a complaint filed through the BBB to get a check that was originally issued incorrectly to the BMV instead of me. US Bank of course says they did nothing wrong although it is quite ironic that the check they finally issued to me was dated after I filed the complaint. And they sent me a letter full of excuses including that I submitted a request to have my mailing address updated. Ummm the mailing address they supposedly issued one of the checks to was in Indiana where my account never even existed, and I never made any such request to change my address. And funny enough, the original check (the incorrect one that started the whole thing) was in fact mailed to the correct address in NC. My car loan/lease originated in IL and then we moved to NC, so where did the IN address even come from in their system? They cannot answer these questions and refuse to acknowledge the errors on their side. And not once has anyone called me to discuss; I just get letters in the mail stating what they see as the "facts". I gave them the dates & times of all my calls (of which I took copious notes) and suggested that they review to get the real facts, but they have no desire to actually fix their issues, just brush them under the rug which apparently has worked for them as you can see their A+ rating by the BBB is clearly aligned with the 1 star rating from actual customers on the BBB website. I guess I won't be putting any cred into BBB ratings going forward.
Never bank with US Bank, its a stupid bank, no automation. Now i have to pay the the fee to my bank for not enough money!
After banking with USB for 17 or 18 yrs, the bank decided to put a hold on a fairly substantial check and even though it left the issuer's acct and was credited to mine, someone decided to not make it available for 10 days. After talking to some fairly helpful people, except a customer service person, now it's unavailable for an additional 5 days! Something stinks here. My credit rating is good, I pay my cards off on time and will not ever deposit another check at US bank, pull out the cash and close the credit cards. All this sucks and neither a reason nor any explanation was offered. My guess: the bank tries to lose customers, goes broke and CEO's go home with a nice severance payout, to be gobbled up by Wells or Citi or something along those lines.
US Bank is a $#*!ing piece of $#*! you can start off with them fat $#*!s CEOs or that aging bald $#*! CFO! And if they're not around then that Bitter $#*! mother Theresa dressing like Butch Dyke $#*!ing $#*! besides collecting my money into their pockets they should be rectifying their hold services on the phone because I'm being forced to do banking with these $#*! sticks. I started my old back in September 2020 today is June 16,2020 to 1345 hrs. They've yet to pick up my phone call…. There a $#*!ing joke and so it's the state of Washington I'm pretty sure some $#*!ing piece of $#*! a lying $#*! Face democrat politician He's also getting a kickback from the Butch Dyke and the two fat bald in age $#*!s at us banks…. 45 minutes and never got to my call! But you called a regular customer service line and it takes them maybe about another two days to call you but at least they pick up. Unfortunately just to tell you that they cannot give you any answers to that account but yet they can look up your name where it belongs
May 2,2022 ATM did not give my $100 but deducted it from my account. Reported it immediately. It's June 14 and I still didn't get my money. US bank kept my money. To this day I do not trust US bank and especially its ATM. I will never us US bank ATM again. $100 does not mean that much to me but trust in a bank does. I don't know if a employee took it or the bank kept it.
They don't have minus numbers for starts but they are the worse financial institutions never ever will do any type of business with this bank again.
For over a year now, someone has been using my name and email address for their account with US Bank. I have tried, and tried, and tried, to call, email, etc., US Bank with the problem and they tell me there is no way they can help me since "I" don't have an account with them. When I explain that "that" is exactly why there is a problem and they need to go to the account using my name and email and get all that resolved, they again say "I'm sorry, since you don't have an account with us, we cannot help you." ARRRRRGH. So frustrating. You would think a bank would WANT to take care of suspicious activity like this. Do yourself a favor and do NOT ever use US Bank for anything.
Don't bank with US Bank. They will rob you blind and then blame you for it. Avoid speaking to supervisor Dia and Christy. The worst bank ever. Christy refused to look into my bank statement when I asked her to do so. Because, they know they suck. Then I was asked to provide statement from my other bank. I don't believe that is legal. Why would they need my bank statement from another bank? Notice why there's no US Bank near you? Because, they are depleting. Their work does not match their value. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bank. You won't regret it. I attached a bank statement proof of payment to merchant and the bank refused to give me back my money they stole from me. Mind you this has been going on since February. How pathetic is US Bank?
On 05/13/2022 I transferred $45,815.49 from my US Bank account ending in **** to pay $47,480 down my Home Equity Line of Credit balance at US Bank. As of 5/23/2022 that money has still not been credited to my account. It was part of my current available balance, from an internal US Bank account, and has not been immediately credited.
My money is missing from its original account and I do not have access to it. It is also not available in the HELOC account. The bank is causing me undue distress because my banking situation is deteriorating rapidly due to having almost $50,000 unavailable to me.
This is money that was physically sitting in my US Bank account for months. It is an account that has been opened for 20 years.
My HELOC is also used as an overdraft coverage account. Now I am without coverage and may be forced to bounce checks as my anticipated cash is not available.
The caps on your account for the first year are wild. I wanted to buy an international plane ticket. I couldn't because it was over $1k. A rep said I could only use $1k per transaction. Found out that wasn't true. It's $1k PER DAY. FOR A YEAR. Then you have to APPLY for an increase. Transferring money? $500 cap. So when you need to pay rent… Buying a laptop? You can't. You have to go to the ATM to get cash. But there's a cash withdrawal limit.
If you're 12 and cut grass, you'll love it. If you're an effing adult, run.
Absolutely horrible! Hours of my life wasted on the phone with these clowns who give you the wrong information on disputes, waste your time and don't protect your money. At 9am tomorrow morning, taking all my money and moving to Chase. I thought Bank of America and Wells Fargo were bad, they are just evil. This bank is plain stupid. A hotel charges me for a night for a room I had moved out of over a week before. Sonesta won't answer my messages, and they had kept my bank card on file and stole money from my card. My bank statement clearly shows that I had just paid for an apartment so why the hell would I go back to a crappy hotel and stay there for the night when I just moved into a new place. US Bank apparently thinks I didn't check out because they were there and all Sonesta had to do was check a box saying yes. They don't bother to call me or look at my clear evidence of where I was living. They just take the money Sonesta stole from me and give it right back. Oh and then they wasted three months of my life promising me they could help me with ACH transactions that they couldn't because their idiot phone operators aren't trained to know what they are talking about. If you don't train your staff properly and it's your fault that your customer lost money by giving wrong information than you need to reimburse me US Bank. Stop sending me your stupid letters letting me know this information after it's too late now for me to do anything else about it. Taking my money out of your bank, and taking you to small claims court. Yes I will waste my time just to waste yours. NEVER AGAIN! Your agents are rude and clueless! ZERO STARS!
I am a current account holder in Tennessee. I turned off overdraft protections months ago and today they paid 114 worth of automatic payment and when I call they say they have the option to do so plus charge me 36 for each one and there is 3 So do the math. I'm looking for a lawyer I had 4.98 in my account now I can't get my back medicine…. No overdraft protection means if the money isn't there don't pay it … and I turned it off months ago. They offer a service but in actuality with this bank you are providing them the service when they need to make money the pay when they not suppose to the collect it back plus their fees. DO NOT USE This BANK!
My elderly mother's CD came due & she wanted it cashed out. 10 business days after closing account & cashing it out, she had not received money. So we called them. Found out from Brittany in the CD department that they did not process her request till 2 days afterwards. They could not tell me when the check was mailed and told me to call back in 30 days if I hadn't received my money by then. They said that was all the information they had on it because the account was closed. I find it hard to believe that a bank doesn't know when they mailed out a check with a 5 digit dollar. Horrible customer service and very irresponsible and unprofessional business practices. Also very Unscrupulous business practice of keeping customers money for extra days so they get the interest from their customers money.
US bank in columbus, Ohio at northern lights. My daughter deposited 79.00 to her acct. The US Bank did a reverse deposit because of an error within the atm. She has to wait till 7-10 days to get funds. This is unacceptable.
US bank is withholding funds because of an error the bank caused. US Bank should be shamed withholding funds. They make me sick.
This used to be a good bank. Now their tellers have an abusive attitude, try to short your withdrawals (theft) and never answer the phone. Their policy is don't deal with a customer. Andy Cecere should be ashamed of the huge salary he gets from such a hypocritical organization. This bank deserves to fail.
I called because two payments came out of my account and I have proof in my US bank inbox saying that two payments came out of my account and the representative was trying to tell me that the most recent payment I made was a month ago. When I told her that I was looking at the payment confirmations in my inbox for the current month and that I had it pulled up, she didnt say anything there was just a long pause, I thought I might have been disconnected but then I said "Are you there" and then she rudely yes. Shortly after that, she hung up right in my face. Didn't say have a nice day or anything. Are these people even trained on how to speak to their customers? Or is that particular woman just a complete b*****? I have a photo that proves I made two payments in the current month of May. I was not being rude, I was calling for a very good reason because I was about to be charged twice in the same month and she was acting like I was inconveniencing her.
They will overdraft the hell out of you then refuse to refund it I Have used them for 5 years and By far the worst bank i have ever used. I only used them for my job but never again.
Answer: U.S. Bank is NOT A SCAM! I've been banking with US Bank for over 18 years, and unlike many banks (TCF in particular... who's process may have changed by now since they got sued over it) US Bank counts your deposits first, checks or debits against your account second. If you know how to use Google, and you can find a branch by you, you will get the help you need. The statements by Joe B. Are insanely false and ridiculous. I have 2 checking accounts, 3 savings account and 2 US Bank Visa cards, I've never had an issue doing what I needed to do with regard to any of these accounts, and if I did have a question, they were easy to reach and always helpful. I am NOT currently a fan of their mobile app as they've kept updating it to a point where bill pay is messed up, but otherwise it has been most useful for transferring money and managing my balances. I've traveled the country and never had an issue getting money when I needed it, or handling my finances. And the bill pay on their website has helped me manage my monthly payments (house, utilities, loans) with ease, which was suggested by a US Bank customer service rep... which until recently, was very effective even through the mobile app. And just for the record, I've been buying groceries (and countless other things) at Walmart for 20 years... guess how I paid for it.:-) In general, over 18+ years, I can absolutely recommend US Bank. And no, I don't work there, I'm just a customer who opened an account there because it was across the street from where I worked at the time.
Answer: At the time, it was convenient because it was across the street from where I worked. I've stayed with them because they have always come through for me. Customer Service is easy to contact at 1-800-US-BANKS. Or you can find a branch where you live at USBank.com. And NO, I don't work there, I'm just a customer that knows how to use Google, the internet, a keyboard... c'mon people, use the hat rack on your shoulders.
Answer: Why are you asking people in a forum?! Call the bank and ask them! Here is a place to start: https://www.usbank.com/about-us-bank/customer-service.html
Answer: I had to buy US Bank checks recently. Two boxes cost me $40.80
