I finished a project fair and square and they sent me an email saying that I have violated their Terms of usage and my account has been suspended forever for fake feedback. No asking for an explanation, no chance to explain, nothing.
I did not get my payment and got suspended... Very disappointed...

I have over 4 years working on Upwork with no issues, the platform is easy to use, there are new jobs available every 5 minutes, and it's easy to make money. The only thing I don't like is that they charge you the 20% of each project plus all your connects to find new ones, I find it unfair that they charge loyal long term contractors for every proposal we send, is basically there's no reward for your loyalty as a freelancer.

Upwork does just fine. They have slowly improved and I wish they would hire a usability specialist to go through their entire website and make it more user-friendly.

The platform is great, usual friendly and also ensures client and freelancers gets excellent customer service. The only issue is that number of connect required for job application is too high as you have to pay for the connect.
