My friends know how much I love shopping at UV, so they bought me gift certificates for my birthday. I added the gift certificates and thought that they were saved into my online account, so I threw away the papers. You can imagine where this is going... I discovered that the gift certificates were not saved and had a minor stroke (this was probably user error on my part).
I thought that it was a total loss, but contacted UV's customer service just in case. Maura Cardona was kind enough to respond in less than 24 hours and asked me for some additional information. She found the unused gift certificates and send me a code to be used in their stead! I love the clothing and the customer service every time I shop in store or online. I wish there were more locations (really miss the Huntington Beach store).
Although the items are priced high, the quality of the clothing is by far the best. I cannot stop myself from ordering from this company, the fit is amazing, there is not one piece I have ordered that did not fit to a tee. The customer service is good, when I had some trouble with delivery they were quick to compensate me and deposited back to my credit card the shipping fee cudos to Unique Vintage, I will continue to purchase from them
Recommended by my sister, I had ordered 2 pieces and somehow have not received them after 4 weeks. I wrote in and query about them.
Customer service was very efficient in response, providing me with all the information.
The next day, I received my items. I LOVE them!

My feather headpiece arrived with a broken feather. I emailed customer service and they got back to me right away and sent me another headpiece free of charge and overnighted it to me since my event was in a couple of days. Awesome experience and wonderful quality clothing. Will use them again.
I've bought several items from Unique Vintage and I'm always very impressed. I had accidentally purchased two of the same item and contacted customer service. Within 6 minutes I received a friendly reply from Bella who took care of everything! Thanks so much for everything! You guys are the best!
I ordered a dress in November to wear for an event on February 1. It was marked down and listed as "final sale," which made me wary, because the reviews for sizing were all over the place, but I really loved the dress and went for it.
*Three weeks later* I got a notice that the dress was "backordered" (why is a clearance item on backorder and why did it take most of a month to inform me of this?) and was not expected to ship for *another* three weeks. The dress is still for sale at the same price in every size two months later as well. This makes me think the "markdown" and "final sale" are just a misleading way for them to get out of returns and exchanges.
I was frustrated but decided to hope for the best, but shop for a backup dress as well.
The dress did not end up shipping until late January, but it did finally arrive.
The good news is, it fits (which is also sort of bad news, because I shopped according to the customer reviews and ordered three sizes smaller than their sizing chart recommended for my measurements- and it fits. It would have been falling off me if I had ordered as the company recommends, with no exchange available). The bad news is it REEKS of cigarette smoke, and I'm now in a time crunch to get it altered in time for the February event. That should not be happening for a dress I ordered in November. Wedding dresses ship faster than this!
The clothing is beautiful, but I can't recommend Unique Vintage as a business and won't be shopping there again. The uncertainty, frustration, and shady business practices aren't worth it.
I ordered a garment that came with a hole in it. Although I was quite dissatisfied with the product, they refunded the entire purchase price and shipping and their customer service was awesome!
I've been ordering clothes from UV for a long time. I know some complain about the slow shipping but the website does tell you that basic ground FedEx is 6-10 days or you can upgrade to various shipping speeds. So the shipping speed is really up to the customer if they want to select a different shipping speed. They do send you tracking when it's shipped, when it is out for delivery and when it delivers. I had a problem with one order and they fixed it within 20 minutes of my first email. I've had nothing but good service from them since the beginning. I recommend their clothes and shoes. It's not cheap but it is worth the money.
I ordered items for a theme party that took more than two weeks to arrive (where was no estimated shipping time on the site). There was a delay in the company sending out the package, then FedEx took ages, and no communication. One item is apparently non-returnable (not disclosed at time of purchase), the other (which I found for about a quarter of the price on Amazon subsequently) will cost more to return than it could possibly be to ship and restock. I will never shop here again.
As you can see this company has a reputation. They say something is available, and then tell you it's backordered and it will be months before you get it. They can not manage their invintory and distribution. I made a complaint with the Better Buisness Beuro for their shady and unreliable practices. Stay away if you actually want to get the product that you paid for.

I’m very sorry that your UV shopping experience was less than stellar. When an item is selected and added to a customer’s shopping cart, we list any backorder notices, and we are very sorry this was not seen when the order was made. Sadly, the item purchased is a backorder, and is not expected until January. You expressed that your order was needed for Christmas, and since that is simply impossible, we proceeded with a cancellation, and a full refund.
We do care for all our customers, and if an item is on backorder we have that listed. The backorder feature is something our customer love as they get to reserve a dress before we sell out for a highly anticipated item. We do not want to deceive our customers in away which is why we always have these notices, but do understand that they can be missed.
We hate losing any customers, and again are very sorry that we were not able to supply you with a good shopping experience.

I placed several orders duringThanksgiving weekend. A couple of the orders have shipped (shipping is super slow-items are taking nearly two full weeks to arrive!), but two orders have not even shipped yet! I know that they don't fulfill orders in the order received because the order that shipped was placed several days earlier than the one that has not. Yesterday I received an email telling me I was being refunded for one of the Black Friday deals since it is out of stock. The dress in question was up on their site for purchase for 2 days AFTER I placed the order. I asked the customer service rep when my delayed orders will be shipped and she said she has no idea. Customer service is very rude! I asked to speak with a supervisor and the rep ignored my request. They gave me a 30% off discount code for my troubles which is a total joke! I'll no longer be doing business with this company!

I would give them zero stars if I could because my experience with this business has been horrible! I ordered a vintage style dress in size medium. For reference I am 5'4" and weigh 125 and wear size 4 or 6, which is typically a size small. But I ordered the medium to be safe and it was cut too small. This wouldn't be a problem if I could easily return it. When I tried to start a return by following the directions on the back of the order, the link they sent didn't work. I tried multiple times from different devices so I know the issue wasn't from my side. I tried to call their toll free number and the business was "closed" 3 and 1/2 hours before their closing time. I have emailed them but never get a real person to respond. I keep getting the same auto email in response, sending me a link that doesn't work! The whole thing seems a little suspicious to me and I wonder if it is even a credible business.

I'm not sure where to start. I ordered three items and paid for expidited shipping. 5 days later I had to contact them because my order hadn't even been shipped. The told me, "so sorry, one of the items isn't available right now" and refunded just that item and shipping fees (btw, I looked online and that item says it is still available). The other two items still haven't shipped and I've had to contact them again to give me the rest of my refund. I would not trust this company in any way, and I will not be doing any business with them in the future.
Daisy herself couldn't find a better dress anywhere! Seriously bought my party dress for a 20's theme wedding and it fit my curvy body perfectly and was gorgeous!
I see there are a lot of poor reviews on this site but I wanted to share my positive experience with Unique Vintage. I ordered a dress and it had a stain on the collar so I sent an e-mail right away (with pictures) of the stain and first thing Monday someone got back to me with a replacement dress and a shipping label to send back the stained one. It seems to me that most of the complains on here have to deal with back orders or international shipping. Both of which sound like "user error" to me. I know not to buy things from Europe or Asia because they cost more and they don't arrive half the time. That's not really Unique Vintage's fault, it's more of a USPS/FEDEX/UPS/Customs problem. Just my opinion.
I LOVE the design. Color and construction of my dress... makes me feel FABULOUS and Cinderella like Adding the shoes... jewelry and headband from the site completed the LOOK I wanted! Brought the dress for my 65 th BD next year at which time I will send pictures then!
I ordered a dress over a week ago. Called when I had no notification of shipping. Was told my item was backordered and won't be available for 30 days. This was a Halloween themed dress so that won't work for me. I was not notified in any way that it was backordered. I was told it is on the website. It definitely is not listed as such on the mobile site as I just checked it. I suggested they do better with customer service and email customers this info. I was retold that they list this on the website. Not the best service. I was charged the full amount plus shipping. Am now waiting for my refund. Plus I now receive daily ads from them through e-mail!

When my package wasn't delivered, Alex jumped into action! She checked with FedEx and USPS, and got me all of my tracking information in lightning speed. When it was clear the package never got to it's final destination, she issued me a refund immediately - no hassle! I will definitely order from them again.
Let me set the stage for my story: working in Charlotte (3 hours away from home) for a week before leaving for 6 days on a Disney vacation. Thursday night into Friday morning I didn't sleep too well so I found myself last minute online shopping the happiest collection on earth and paid for express shipping... to my house... 3 hours away...*face palm* I immediately sent an email begging for someone to help ship my order to my hotel instead and by some miracle they caught it in time! Alina provided my new tracking info and she was easy to communicate with. It was a great customer service experience. I left at 12:30 Monday afternoon, it arrived at 10 am Monday morning. Overpriced clothing you can usually find elsewhere. Like Modcloth, except worse in a way. Their clothes are always backordered or sold out. Not one time when I placed a large order that I did not receive a "sorry, backordered". A lot of the time I buy the whole outfit or plan it around that. I don't want the items if they're sold out. They should offer free returns on that order. Also, manage your damn inventory! It isn't that hard. They respond by giving you a code so that you can buy even more from them, then the code expires in like 2 days. BS.
Lower your prices, manage your inventory better, and look out for the quality of your items.

Answer: I went off their sizing chart and everything fit perfect. Some dresses has different sizing measurements so not all XL are the same. I am guessing it is because of the material. One of the dresses I bought was 2 sizes smaller than I usually buy and it fit perfectly

The Black Velvet Off Shoulder Neckline Cap Sleeve Gown is a special occasion gown. All Special occasion gowns are final sale, but this does not mean they are on clearance or a mark down, they are simply not returnable.
Sadly, the dress was on backorder, and once we realized the dress was not going to arrive by the listed time, we sent an email to all customer to notify them of the delay. The updated date was the week of January 15th, and your order was shipped January 16th. The dress should not smell like smoke, and we would be happy to replace the dress, or if it’s no longer needed it can be returned for a refund. We are very sorry it was received in that condition.
