I enjoy shopping at Ulta.com. I live in Manhattan where the local Ulta is always crowded, has long lines, and frequently runs out of product. I've actually placed a few orders from my phone while in the store. I am always able to find what I need on site without hassle, and to compare products without the overwhelm of the store. It there is something that I want right away I can order online and pick it up in store. Otherwise it arrives in 3 to 5 days, always will free shipping. If I don't like what I purchased online, Ulta lets me return it to the store.
The only downside for Ulta (in store and online) is that the product line selection is somewhat limited. For instance, I went to purchase setting lotion recently and they simply don't carry the product. They also don't carry Brazilian Keratin products.
I love that you can find all of your hair, skin care and makeup needs with tons of products to choose from. The reward program is awesome as well & if you are a frequent shopper, it's great to take advantage of. They are constantly running sales, another plus! They do send frequent large samples of products but you typically have to spend $80 and up to get them. I generally don't spend that much at one time, I have bills that come first unfortunately. What I don't like is the shipping issues. I have never received anything on time! It's been up to a week late before, pre-pandemic. I expected them to offer a small credit on my next order like other reputable businesses do. Instead, I got an email encouraging me to "be patient". And, they weren't just talking about the week I had already waited. They wanted me to "give it another 5-7 business days, if you still haven't received it, let us know". Not a great way to be customer friendly.
I'm a platinum member for 3 years now and I've never dealt with such terrible customer service. It's so useless to call them for help. Waste of time. I ordered a product on their 21 daya of beauty sale. A week later no carrier movement so I emailed just to check. They reply saying a refund had been issued and nothing about a replacement. I sent another email about a replacement. They replied saying that because they had issued a refund they couldn't send me a replacement. Uuummm but I never asked for a refund in the first place; just on status! So I finally called them n they just repeated the same dumb thing. What's worse is the rep told me "but you can go ahead and order it again today". I know that! But "Are you going to give me a coupon code so I can get the same sale price?" "No sorry we can't do that". Aaghh! What is even the point! So stupid. Completely deters a buyer from ordering anything on their app or online.
I was at Ulta today. I was waiting at the checkout counter and no one was there. After a while I started timing it. I heard someone tell the cashier multiple times that someone was waiting, but no one showed up. Five plus minutes later the girl begins slowly coming over. She is stopping and fixing things on the shelf, not caring that I am there. Even after looking at me and someone telling her again I was waiting. She then grabs another woman's product and takes it around the register to ring her up. She looks at me and says I will be with you in a moment. I say back (nicely) that I have been waiting. The woman's whose product she took says she does not mind waiting til after me. The cashier tells her absolutely not, looks at me and says I can wait. I set my products down on the counter and just walk out. She does not apologize, I just heard her give some comment to me in a very snippy voice. This is not the first time I have waited at the line with no one to check me out. Another employee will always be telling someone I am there and I am always ignored. It is always the same girl who then eventually comes up. This never happens when there is another cashier there. And this specific one never apologizes for my wait. I usually don't care because I understand people are busy. But taking the other woman in front of me, when she suggested that she didn't mind waiting was the last straw for me. I will not go back there.
I used to love Ulta Beauty, and could count on great packing and prompt shipping times. My last two orders contained items in bottles. They were shipped in bubble mailers, and the plastic bottles a little dented. I won't shop there again, and don't recommend them.

Ulta is best to buy cosmetics products. I love all products and always prefer it first. Quality is excellent. Quantity is superb. Price is reasonable. Happy customer. Recommended to friends.
I have no problem with the service I received from the salon however when I went to pay with my e-gift card no one knew how to use it so I had to pay for service received only credit card and I had researched that I could use the gift card I the store online, the cashiers were very rude about this as well
Be careful about ordering at Ulta.com. If you need to change or cancel your order (even a minute) after submitting it, you're in your own. They offer no help to you. I changed my address before ordering and it reverted back to my old address. I noticed right away (11pm on a Sunday) and contacted them. They said they couldn't change it nor could they cancel it because it was already in shipment phase. No possible way that was true. So now I have to write a letter to the new owners of my old house and hope they are nice enough to call me when my package is delivered. I noticed other reviewers have hand similar issues with Ulta orders and I wish I would have read them before having this problem. I won't be shopping there anymore, online or in store.

Just checked the status of my order. A delivery was not even attempted and never received any communication from Ulta... just says returned to sender. My address is correct and I have received package no problem from Ulta in the past. My last three online orders have have the same return to sender without any communication. This is not the kind of service I expect for a Diamond status client. I don't want my goods returned and I don't want a refund to pacify my aggregation. Why can't my goods, that I have paid for, be sent to my local store for my pickup if Ulta can't follow through on their end of the deal? Shame on you Ulta for such poor service. Sephora is calling my name.
I would suggest steering clear of the salon on granite street. They categorize hairdressers based on their skill and will charge you accordingly. I paid extra for a "master hair stylist", long story short, the dye washed out the next day, they made a lousy attempt to rectify the issue with the same results. They refuse to take responsibility for their negligence or to even offer store credit. The managers excuse was that my hair was too damaged and unable to hold the dye, so why not turn me away during the consult? I attempted to resolve this with corporate but they have lead me on and nobody has returned my calls or emails.
I had an order I made online cancel randomly, but I had used a gift card on that order that I threw away after placing the order thinking there would be no issue with the order. I was wrong, the order was cancelled and I was down a $50 gift card so I called the call center very livid. Poor Vanessa H. Answered the phone and got an ear full but she remained polite and helpful the entire time. She ended up helping me get a new gift card and was just great all around. I'm still bummed about the order but she went above and beyond to help after I was such a jerk.
I love all beauty products of Ulta. Results are amazing. Quality is great. Worth the money. Recommended to friends to use it once. Customer service is helpful and good. Happy customer.
I'm a huge fan of Ulta and I'm also slightly addicted. The variety of things is huge and the convenience is just awesome. I can browse online at all they have literally for hours. I've spent hundreds of dollars and have not a single complaint about them.
Cosmetics and perfume galore among so much more too. I know that I haven't even touched the surface of seeing all that they have but I definitely look forward to exploring and finding out.
Every woman should check out Ulta at least once! I've bought so much stuff from there that I can't take a picture of all of it so I'm paying just a couple of items I recently got such as eye masks, lip masks and moisturizing hand gloves.
One friend of mine tried this ULTRA BEAUTY and told me it's not a bad place for shopping and delivery is not really long. I have never tried this pace because I look for things on Sephora. Perhaps one day I also will try this place.
I ordered Clinique products from Ulta online. Because there was a free gift with a purchase price threshold, I ordered additional products to qualify for the free gift. It did not arrive with the purchased products. When I called to complain, the representative refused to make it right. (Their customer service is obviously foreign based as I could barely understand her.). Never using Ulta again.
I have had issues with Ulta in the past, customer service is terrible, from not reading questions/concerns and just replying with canned responses to NEVER solving issues (after several YEARS of me trying to resolve an issue) I recently (and foolishly) made a purchase of Kenra hair products, when I finally got the products there were 2 hairspray, a texture spray and a free with purchase blow-dry spray, they were in a large box just basically thrown in with no protection, I say no protection as the air pillow that were in there had NO AIR was just empty baggies, the products were dented and dinged and caps were off. I feel they should have wrapped some bubble wrap around each and put actual air pillows in instead of empty plastic bags! Very shoddy packing. You can tell they definitely do not care about customer satisfaction and customer service.
Package marked delivered but not received. A lot of back and forth with customer service with no help. Only Package out of 50+ of shopping deliveries not received. Wont have it in time for Christmas. So disappointed! Never shopping there again!
Answer: It's not that the prices are particularly higher than anywhere else, it's that the products they sell are very high end and nowhere except like Marshall's etc has any of those brands for less. So I'd say yes they're all worth the money. Some brands are better than others depending on personal preference but they also have a rewards program that's free :)
Answer: If you're asking about Ulta's brand, you can only buy it at Ulta. Other items can be purchased through other retailers. However, you have to really dig to find anything cheaper than Ulta. Especially during a sale and with a coupon.

Answer: Many companies have this policy. Probably because they allow returns at their stores very easily. I usually just place a new correct order, and return the incorrect order. Sometimes if you call customer service, depending on the mistake, they can fix it for you.
