The overall reputation of the company reflects significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its online order fulfillment and customer service. Common complaints include delayed shipments, unresponsive support, and unresolved issues with missing or damaged products. Customers express frustration over the perceived incompetence of service representatives and a lack of accountability in addressing their concerns. However, some positive remarks highlight the company's diverse product selection and rewards program. Despite these strengths, the prevailing sentiment indicates a need for substantial improvements in customer service and operational efficiency to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.

My first time with my daughter in the store just do window shopping. But then we found clearance ailes and ended up buying many different cosmetics. When we paid, the cashier introduced us the membership card and helped us created an account with them. When we left, we decided to come back to buy more products for friends and family members. We then found ultra coupons online. We came back, and they gave us back the money happily. They are very friendly and care for their customers. From time to time they will have promotion of buying ultra products of $19 will receive a bag of cosmetic as a gift. We love shopping at Ulta.we definitely recommend!
They have a beauty salon in each store. I have tried two hair dressers. Both were excellent especially with coloring hair.
Ever since I have been using Ulta's "Dermologica" products my skin has never looked better. I usually buy the travel kits that last a little over a month. Definitely worth the price!
I love their rewards program but I have gone weeks without products because they have low inventory.
First of all, their "Ultamate Rewards" program is second-to-none now that you no longer have to use your points on selected items. They keep expanding (and sometimes reducing) the beauty/haircare lines they offer which allows you to see and sample a lot of the higher-end lines you're always hearing about or seeing in magazines.
They almost always have a coupon running, most often for $3.50 off a $10 or $15 purchase. Their Golden Ticket promo is a 20% off your entire purchase... of course you won't see them very often. Without a coupon, I'd recommend shopping around online for better prices as Ulta is consistently MSRP (retail price). I really hate to say this but try products in-store and then price shop other places.
Base Minerals, MAC, Clinique, Dr. Perricone, Peter Thomas Roth, Kenra, Joico, OPI, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Urban Decay... if I am "speaking your language," you probably already shop here? If you don't know about them, be very VERY excited when they open in your area. I promise that their signature orange color will become your new favorite color!
I have allergies to fragrance and keep a fragrance free home due to possible health issues. While I can walk thru the store without a problem (because I don't live there or go near the fragrance), receiving mail catalogs including fragrance inserts invades my home. I sent an e-mail to Ulta asking to have my name removed from the mailings and the reason why. When no action was taken, sent a letter reiterating the, also to no avail. Then I wrote a letter directly to the CEO asking her to intercede on my behalf to get my name removed and why. Just received another mail catalog and no response from the CEO. I'M DONE! Will close out my membership account to hopefully stop these mailings and only shop at Ulta if needed. There are plenty of other places to get what I need.
Love Ulta, but love Sephora more for their free samples!

Love the store, love the service, love the sales!
I always go to ULTA for my staples in my makeup case.
I order regularly from Ulta and always arrives quickly and in perfect condition. Plus, they always have a coupon and you build points as you buy. Always a great experience.
Always lots of help always items in stock always will return price range for all HELPFUL coupons plus sales
I love there makeup and the selection of products. The customer service was wonderful as well. I have shopped there many times in the past, and will continue to do so. Sometimes I just go and look around and we have one a bit farther, but presently they are completing a store just down the street from where (Thank God) I live which I great for me however no so great for my husband.
I love Ulta, actually so very much I should never, ever go into the store. I go in for one thing and come out $150.00 poorer. I can't resist all those goodies!
I am very upset. There is a stylist by the name Shameka that was highly recommended for hair extensions. This is my first time visiting Ulta and I was excited about getting my hair done by her. When I walked in I was greeted by a young lady named Melissa and she was very pleasant, she greeted me and asked if I would like to book a service, I told her yes and who I was there to see, while talking to her a male stylist who later I was told was the Salon Manager came over and asked can he help me during my conversation with Melissa, so I told him I was looking to get hair extensions and he said in a very rude manner,'We don't offer those services here!" and walked away. Melissa apologized and said I will look to see when Shameka is coming in and I will book a consultation for you with her and she will be in Monday please give her a call. I was very offended by the response from the manager and would like answers! I called my friend who recommended Shameka and she had a similar experience and isn't happy about it. She said she was told the same thing. I have seen extensions done before at this location plenty of times and I would like answers especially because I have seen women with different texture hair get there extension there at that location of a different race, I want answers I feel like its discrimination and racist. Is it ok for one race to get there form of extensions but not another, I will never walk into Ulta again and its sad because Shameka is a wonderful stylist I have seen her work and wanted to be service but I didn't know The Salon at Ulta only choose to service a certain race, ethnicity, or hair type in the Bronx.
Products are actually really good, but the employees in every store so far I have stepped into believe they are Mary J Blige or Lady Gaga and treat you like you don't belong if you are not caked up like them. Remember who pays your bills.
So what's the deal? No sales, no discounts, just standard products. Their own line, which is value priced, is awful. None of their makeup products stay on for more than an hour and packaging is misleading. The gals who work the store don't care. Guess they are not treated well and have no incentive to treat customers well. They just try to upsell or 'force' the most expensive products on you. I'd rather go to a drug store with no service. At least the drugstores have a return policy.
Love this place, buy all my girl stuff there, always friendly and even get my hair done there. Earn points and sometimes get free stuff. And a birthday gift.
I was looking for a new mascara. The door held open for me, immediate individualized special attention given. I am conservatively a novice, applying the least amount of makeup as possible. Kind, knowledgable ladies showed me the range of services, their specific fav's (the inside scoop-Love it), and application techniques. They carry almost every Brand! WOW! Full SERVICE! IMPRESSED!
I went in to buy something, had it in my hand and the gal behind the counter said it wasn't enough for her to get involved in. I put the item down ($29) and walked out and never walked in again.
Answer: It's not that the prices are particularly higher than anywhere else, it's that the products they sell are very high end and nowhere except like Marshall's etc has any of those brands for less. So I'd say yes they're all worth the money. Some brands are better than others depending on personal preference but they also have a rewards program that's free :)
Answer: If you're asking about Ulta's brand, you can only buy it at Ulta. Other items can be purchased through other retailers. However, you have to really dig to find anything cheaper than Ulta. Especially during a sale and with a coupon.
Answer: I have not. I have sensitive skin and try to stick with Vegan and cruelty free products.
Answer: Many companies have this policy. Probably because they allow returns at their stores very easily. I usually just place a new correct order, and return the incorrect order. Sometimes if you call customer service, depending on the mistake, they can fix it for you.
Answer: Their perfumes (edt and edp) are real and quite good!
