FALSE ADVERTISING
September 10, 2024

Uber eats consistently has on numerous occasions put 40% coupons in my promo tab to reel me in, then when i create an order it and attempt to checkout it disappears

I then call them about it and ask "hey why is this happening" there answer on both occasions was "we reserve the right to cancel any promotion at will"

Which I understand but wouldnt promoting it to me then taking it away repeatedly but somewhere on the lines of bait and switch though there policy allows it im not sure if law does, i have contacted an attorney my phone number is *******132 if there is anyone experiencing similar issues i urge you to contact me as california has some of the strictest consumer protection laws in the united states, and I believe there may be actions for a class action lawsuit in which i personally will be seeking exemplary damages. Businesses that target and willingly take advantage of customers are unacceptable in my opinion, it really bothers me when big corps do things like this just because they can so i am going to do everything my power to promote change and ultimately a better experience for the consumer, at the cost of uber eats bottom line. Law trumps policy, and this to my knowledge is illegal.

I have images and videos to share as well
Video wont upload but will gladly send to anyone in the same predicament or willing to help just text number in post

Liars and Thieves!
August 22, 2024

Uber Eats screws over their drivers continuously. There is no way for a driver to know how much they'll actually be paid for a job prior to taking it. Uber shows an amount that's higher than what it may actually be. Uber took most of the money from a drop-off I did recently as they said I didn't complete it. Their GPS tracking, phone records, and conversation with the customer all show otherwise. A system glitch on their end prevented the ride from being "completed" on screen, so it wouldn't close it out. A few dollars taken from a million drivers will add up to millions in extra revenue for Uber. Was their computer glitch accidental or intentional as an avenue to take what isn't theirs? Don't be naive; large companies operate like this. I deleted my account after they wouldn't release my funds. Theft is theft. I hope some AI societal wide change puts them out of business and bankrupts them in the future. I've noticed that when large corporations steal there is little to no recourse for the people who were stolen from. Luckily, I never supported their ride service and I never will. If you're thinking of using them as a side hustle, I'd say become their competitor instead. Start your own thing locally via social media and keep all the profits yourself.

Legitimate thieves
August 18, 2024

Legitimate thieves. My last few orders through Uber eats I had received completely different items from what I had ordered and informed that it's not eligible for a refund. On a grocery order, I was missing three items and it was an add-on order meaning a $0 delivery and service fee. However, they still charged me for the missing items and an additional $22 in service and delivery fees. Even after presenting the receipt from the driver and the screenshot on their app of my total with zero fees, they continued with this not eligible for a refund nonsense. I've disputed every transaction from which they have committed legitimate theft. Dealing with their help support line is like talking to wallpaper with automated responses and Bot tech support. We need to rise up and put a stop to this trash company and stop this ridiculous theft

I first ordered Uber eats and the driver delivered my order to the wrong address so I went to go grab it. Before then I called customer service and I ask them about my delivery driver and where he actually sent my order because it wasn't at the correct address. So I asked them to refund me for $#*! sake and they said they'll only refund me $12 when really, my order PLUS TAXES & FEES was up to $17 instead. Later on after the evening was over, Uber eats sorry, "the uber delivery driver, named Frederick", I feel like stole $5 from my card and I don't ever remember giving a $5 tip to him and definitely after that $#*! he pulled. I gad 30 something dollars in my account and then it wad $28 dollars. I saw on the recent history list that UBER EATS STOLE $5 FROM ME! I cussed them out practically for loosing, sorry again, "stealing" off me without giving me a heads up. Later on the next day I yelled at them for all of it and shorting on the refund and a random tip I for sure wasn't trying to give away next saying i had only hour to take the tip back after it was docked off my card until they cant get it because any later then 1 hour its a GONE. They still owe me a few more dollars from the 17 and $5 back! WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY! UBER EATS YOU ARE THE UGLY FACE OF A JOKE!

Uber Eats told me they will not give me a refund, because in the past. They had given me a refund for also an order that wasn't delivered. The following is the email I sent them back. That is not my house! Look at the picture he took! Look on Google, Look at my WHOLE HOUSE, my whole house is brown, with double wooden door! This misogynistic man, yelled and screamed at me and admitted he delivered to the wrong house because his GPS told him that was the house and that I needed to be nice for him to go get my food back, even though I was already
Being nice and being patient because I was afraid of him spitting in my food. Look back at the call, Look back at the picture he took, he admitted it he delivered to wrong house and on the picture is clearly not my house.

I ordered food and was charged after the delivery driver passed my house and didn't deliver my food. I contacted the driver and he even confessed that he didn't have my food because the restaurant didn't have it ready but drove by in order to get paid for the delivery.

I reached out to uber but they were not allowing me to reach out for help, the website said that the charge had not gone through. So I was under the assumption that it was canceled. Then I checked my bank statement and the charge had gone through. So I reached out again and I was denied a refund because it was passed 48 hours. So uber got paid, the restaurant got paid, the driver got paid, and I was basically robbed.

Do not order from Uber! There are so many different third party delivery services that are way better with great customer service. I work at a fast food place, and get a lot of complaints when it comes to Uber because their customer service is trash! Orders are delivered to wrong addresses or delivery drivers steal food and Uber says "sorry not eligible for refund". I actually placed an order two days ago and my food was delivered to the wrong address, when I finally got a message back for them, they told me those exact words. I finally got to see what customers were talking about. When I asked why, they refused to give me an explanation.
They are stealing money and then try to blame the drivers or the stores. Terrible delivery service! Wish I can give them 0 stars!

Never again!
August 3, 2024

Driver lied to me and told me he was not given all of my order. I called the restaurant, a place I often order from, and the manager told me that the driver was "in a hurry and did not wait for the rest of the order". The driver took the tip money, however. UberEats simply offered 'Uber Cash' as a sorry recompense. No thank you! Never again will I use UberEats!

WHAT A SCAM COMPANY
July 30, 2024

PLEASE DO NOT USE UBER EAT IN YOUR LIFE! Lesson Learned. I noticed the driver delivered my order to the wrong house after he uploaded the photo. Tried to contact him, but couldn't, due to he marked delivered on the order. Contacted uber eat customer services via app and phone numerus times. NO ONE willing to help even I have a screenshot of the driver uploaded and took a photo of my house. (TOTALLY WRONG HOUSE, WRONG ADDRESS) Uber eat refused to see and accept photo from customer. The driver even removed the photo from the app after I filed compliant. THEY ARE BLAMING I put the wrong address or I am the one to responsible even the driver deliver to wrong address! BECAREFUL that your money will goes to nothing for this company.

UberEats is a scam
July 28, 2024

Uber Eats is a scam.

The company refuses to provide a refund for missing items from a delivery. The vendor from which I ordered did not have an item in stock, and sent a nite stating that I should request a refund.

Uber Eats refused to do so. This is illegal and forfeits the position of Uber Eats as a legitimate business. They are scammers and crooks.

Edit: I have been refunded by PayPal after disputing the payment with them. PayPal will now pursue the matter with Uber Eats, a process much costlier than simply giving me the refund to which I am legally entitled.

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent Uber Eats experience. I had to cancel my order because the delivery driver got lost and couldn't find my destination. Despite this being entirely the driver's fault, I was charged a cancellation fee. This is completely unacceptable. I shouldn't be penalized for a service failure on Uber Eats' part. I expect a refund for the cancellation fee and a review of this unfair policy. This experience has made me seriously reconsider using Uber Eats in the future.

Why are you bad?
July 23, 2024

I guess I should've checked here before I signed up, thank God it's a trial membership. What a joke. So you pick a restaurant and it gives you an estimated time, then you pay in the time doubles, But after that doubles again. I think best of all is after it was over the app lied about what time it was delivered by almost 20 minutes. Just a great company from top to bottom. Liars. Yeah, these poor drivers out here behind on the second they get the order. It's all corporate. Liars. You're a joke of a company. I hope you respond to this with some corporate platitudes. I can't wait to make fun of some more.

Disgusting service. I would not recommend anyone using it. These guys are a scammer. I ordered some groceries from Uber Eats. When I found that my prioritized item was not available, I told them to cancel the order and guess what they cancelled my order but refused to refund me. Zero refund. I wasted my money for free. So disappointed. No other delivery partner does like that. Never place an order from Uber Eats. Zero star

So firstly I must point out that Uber Eats are thieves. They are happy to break the law without a care in the world. I'll tell you more...

So today, I placed a large order for my workplace through the Mcdonalds app (order handled by Uber Eats).

When the order arrived there was one item missing.

Firstly, they make it very very hard to contact them when you order through a third party app. The only option through the Mcdonalds app is to contact Mcdonalds (but they are unable to help as the order is handled by Uber Eats). I went into the Mcdonalds restaurant and they confirmed it would need to go through Uber Eats. The order also isn't tracked through the Uber Eats website so you can't contact them through the website either. When you call Uber Eats, they recognise the phone number you are calling for and can identify that you haven't ordered through their website so then the phone line cuts you off and tells you to make contact on the website (which isn't possible).
Eventually I called a number for Uber which I knew was incorrect but the person I got through to was able to transfer me to someone who I could discuss the order with.
When I finally got through, I gave all of my details and told them which item was missing and was told they would not provide me with a refund but would 'make a note of the problem I had'. I also asked to speak to a manager and this person also refused to do anything. They constantly quoted to me that it was their policy to not provide a refund. I asked several times for more information about this policy and they refused and told me they were unable to share this information with customers. I specifically asked if it was their policy to steal from customers as this is what they had done. The 'manager' told me that was my 'opinion'. They refused however to directly answer that question.

Luckily my bank are assisting me in getting my money back but it really shouldn't have to go that far for the sake of one missing item.

I'm shocked and disgusted in how Uber Eats have treated me today and that they are able to keep on trading whilst stealing money from people.
I really hope this review goes part way at least in stopping people using them although poor service through these food delivery providers does seem to be a common occurrence.

Please stay far away from these scammers.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a recent order experience I had with UberEats. I ordered a Big Mac Medium meal, but only the fries and orange juice were delivered. The main part of the meal, the burger, was missing.

I immediately called UberEats customer service, and the representative apologized and assured me that I would receive a refund for the missing burger. However, I was only refunded £1.95, whereas the burger itself costs £4.79. This discrepancy is both baffling and unacceptable.

When I questioned the refund amount, I was told that the refund policy is in line with McDonald's, and there was nothing more they could do. This policy leaves the customer out of pocket and seems entirely unfair. As a result, I am left feeling hungry, extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Given this experience, I will no longer be using UberEats and will be sharing my negative experience with others. I hope UberEats will reconsider its refund policies to better serve its customers in the future.
