1) most times I have been with friends trying to get an Uber and several drivers accept and then arrive and decline in person, or don't decline but fail to actually on time and leave us waiting so long that we have to rebook - but always outside of the "free cancellation" time frame - so my friends keep getting charged for booking fares for drivers who don't actually arrive. For that reason I haven't used Uber in over a year - but I tried to get Ubers with friends and saw all this happening. We think they must profit from the cancellation fees? So, now, I don't trust the drivers to arrive on time or at all. One Uber driver picked me up without enough petrol to take me to my destination. Then said he couldn't drive me straight to the airport. I either had to wait ( & pay!) for him to drive around to get gas or book a different Uber. When I booked a different Uber the second Uber arrived in 2 minutes - with petrol in the car!
But - I still got billed by Uber for BOTH!
(Because it was outside of the free cancellation' timeframe.
I couldn't find a way to report that drivers disorganisation. I am not a happy customer being asked to pay and wait at gas stations for Uber drivers to fill up and maintain their vehicles.
2) if I have a specific problem (one driver kept touching me and asking me to kiss him) but apart from that he did promptly arrive and get me to my exact place and wait until I was inside the venue (it was a potentially unsafe neighbourhood). I told him not to touch me and eventually he stopped trying... but I couldn't find any way to report that on the trip records... so all I could do was give him a very low rating which seemed unfair to him as mostly he was great! It was just that (culturally? - it was not in Australia. An overseas Uber trip) he may have thought it was OK to flirt and try to seduce female passengers?
But - it certainly made me more suspicious & fearful of Uber drivers in general and especially upset that Uber doesn't easily allow for reporting an incident which, really, is a sexual assault :( of a very minor form.
Other friends have also expressed frustration that Uber apps do not easily allow for reporting particular specific issues with specific drivers during particular trips.
They are extremely unprofessional. Drivers do not actually try to find you to give you your food. I had a shared delivery, something I did not pick, the driver took forever! He did not attempt to call me to find where I was. He came to my neighborhood that's apartments and just sat in front of the leasing office saying he arrived when in fact he did NOT. He completely ignored my delivery instructions. He was leaving my text messages on read. And he cancelled my order and I did NOT receive a refund! I spent over 15 dollars for this food and wait almost a hour! I called customer service and they said they could not give me a refund because I reported too many incorrect items. IF MY ORDER IS INCORRECT IT IS INCORRECT! I PAID MY MONEY FOR SPECIFIC ITEMS! DO NOT SUBSTITUTE IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE OR DO NOT GIVE IT TO ME AT ALL! THIS IS SOMETHING MCDONALDS IS FAMOUS FOR I SHOULD NOT BE AT FAULT! I STARTED ORDERING FROM A DIFFERENT ONE. If THIS is how they treat their customers I will be deleting my account and going to Lyft and GrubHub. I have never been treated like this by a BUSINESS before! VERY SAD, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! So now that Uber driver just got free food THAT I PAID FOR AND I WILL NOT GET MY MONEY BACK!
They will steal your money by charging you for trips you didn't make and when you go to complain customer service doesn't even work if you are reading this be smart I'm saving you big time.

Uber don't care anything about their driver's only the rider's. Rider's have this scam where they will call or email Uber and lie and say their driver was intoxicated just to get their money back and Uber will deactivate the driver's account without proof. This is not worth the wear and tear on your vehicle. The pay sucks also.
UBER TOOK MY MONEY AND NEVER REFUNDED ME FOR A TRIP I PAID TWICE FOR. 1st incident:
I took uber twice a day to and from work. I used the gift card option to apply UBER bucks to my account. Today Monday Jan 27th (after paying $15.00 for a trip for my son) I tried to reorder another uber to get to an appointment when doing so I noticed my account was at a zero balance. I still had 21.00 dollars left available after the 15.00 trip early. I sent a email describing the issue and UBER DISABLES MY Account because I complained. 2nd issue before my account was disabled. I took a uber to work and stopped at a store. For some reason the system charged me twice for one trip. I complained and showed evidence of the issue and nothing was done. UBER IS HORRIBLE WHEN IT COMES TO SERVICE. I DONT RECOMMEND IT AND IF YOU NEED A RIDE CALL LYFT. UBER REALLY STOLE MONEY FROM ME. IM A HARD WORKING SINGLE MOTHER. They stole from me.
Stone cold fast food is on a parr with eating dog food and I don't feel humans should pay for the dilemma of cold food... either the courier or the provider of the food at fault and yet Uber will not compensate or refund patrons for cold food, so be warned given their service is a diabolical shambles and needs scraping in favour of a superior service.
Im a uber driver of 5 years in HOUSTON tx heres some facts that many want tell! Out of 29k drivers in houston bout 10k or not the ones who picking you up. Uber doesn't check the dl with the profile pic on the app so whatever you send for start up thats what they expect. Its really safe for you to drive your own self home on a Friday night knowing drivers or high off drugs and bout as drunk as the passenger they picking up. Lets run a drug test 29k drivers in houston will drop to 10k drivers DOT will do drug test on you at any time the wish if you driving a 18 wheeler so you saying driving people round not important to know if they high or not. Dont end the service of uber just end the fake made up drug useing drivers
Scheduled set appt for 3:00 a.m. pickup for ride to airport one week in advance. Received email confirmation. Driver did not show and you can imagine my panic as we were connecting to an international flight with a service dog. Called Uber to complain and have received nothing but the run around. Info from my app regarding the trip has been requested but it disappeared after the driver didn't show. I don't have access to that do you? The email Uber sends to provide that info insists you write your response "above this line or they will not respond". I responded and with a copy of the confirmation and again received the same email with the same form letter. I wrote "above the line" and requested an email address to deal directly with customer service and again received the same form letter. Bye bye Uber it's Lyft for me from now on.
So, over the last few years the company has addressed the inability to reach drivers. This illustrated a company willing to provide good service and stay agile.
This is a reasonable service. However, they intentionally DO NOT have a way to reach the service or the driver. As a result if you've forgotten something you're out of luck. For example, my dealer uses Uber. The driver was quick and efficient. As I got out of the car and thanked him, he drove way. No problems, but just then I patted myself down and realized by bluetooth (with charger) had fallen from by pocket. I could see him driving down the hill but he did not see me. I quickly asked the service manager to call the Uber driver (thinking I could catch him before he turned onto the main road. NOPE! We don't know how, after 45 minutes of keystone copism I have an email to a Brittany. No phone number and then after much research if find out there is NO phone number, intentionally. So, while I tried the "contact us" mode that didn't work. And it turns out Uber is satisfied with not hearing from it's customer in the event they REALLY need to be reached. Caveat Emptor!
I think I summed it up in my title. I like the service, the safety drive insurance policy makes you feel really confident, but the rates. I mean you are not being exposed by bad customer service or potential dangers of driving a cab, but still the idea of Uber was to get a lower rate than a taxi ride, right?
We took an Uber in JFK and the driver said that the gps have to him a heavy traffic route. He ask if we were agreed than he took another way, we said yes, but he never explained how much more we'll have to paid for the trip. We paid almost trilple than what we paid in a taxi cab. Uber: $ 140, Taxi cab: $ 65
To be very honest here us Uber drivers have never had any complaints from any other race but them white customers weather it's Uber eats or the driver part. I have had Uber drivers tell me that it's always the white customers doing there dumb complaining and for the life of me they are the most racists people on this planet. Idk who told these white customers that they mess don't stink. You don't like Uber drivers than use another company, they feel to privileged and that's because Uber allows them to feel that way. Uber will fire a driver in a heart beat soon as they get a complaint. In ubers eyes the customer is never wrong. Get your mess together Uber and you white customers who always want to complain need to get it together. It's sad that a white person trys to tear down every other race nomatter what it is that they do. I have personally seen how these white customers act with these Uber drives and it's disgusting.
Uber took $260 from my account about 6 weeks ago. Every time I have called or chatted with the company they say there is an issue with software. It's christmas time and Uber is not helping at all getting this resolved. I'm thinking it's about time to get legal action involved. DO NOT TRUST UBER OR ITS SUPPORT STAFF!
Your driver named vijay ended the trip BEFORE asking if it was a round trip. Then he took 270 rupees, and he said he would wait. 15 minutes later, he was gone. If you do not take action against your driver, I'll have my lawyer file a legal case against Uber. The trip date was Dec 7,2019, and my number used was *******150. It took place at 11:24AM, and total amount was 227rs but he took 270 as mentioned AND DID NOT WAIT AND ENDED THE TRIP BEFORE ASKING IF IT WAS A ROUND TRIP. His car was a Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. As I said, if you do not take action against this driver and suspend him, I am having my lawyer take legal action against Uber India.
I must be the only person in the whole wide world that has trouble using Uber. I tried to use Uber today on my desktop to book a ride for tomorrow morning, but I kept getting the helpful error message "There was an error while booking your trip". I then tried to do the same thing on my cellphone, by downloading the Uber app. The only thing the app would let me do is book a trip for the present. I never did figure out how to book a future pickup on my cellphone. Sadly, two drivers came to my house within a few minutes of my inexperienced fumbling with the app. I uninstalled the app and will drive myself tomorrow.

I have over 30 years on the road with no accidents. No speeding tickets or failure to stop at a red light or stop sign. I have a valid license but it's been suspended in the past for failure to pay child support and l have two violations for that on my record. And they turn me down to drive for them because of that. I'll never stop ripping them for this. It's wrong.
I worked for Uber and Lyft for 2.5 years and all they did was take take take from the drivers who ate mostly foreign laborers here illegally and are afraid to fight back against corporate crime. Wage theft. Like you wouldn't believe. Don't do any Gig Economy job. The government needs labor regulations. The state of California is setting the example by fighting them!
Users can easily book a ride on Uber, but the riders never pick up on time and always have misinformation of the destination that the customers want to travel.
Don't use it, that's my recommendation!. I ordered uber, selected the car to come and pick me up, got the confirmation that Musa (driver) is coming in 14 min (price selected was 11-14EUR). Guess what 15 min later got another message that another driver is coming in 25 min. He came after 27 min and charged me 17.5EUR +3.50EUR extra for the time...? So, he came late and i'm charged extra for this time... I need to mention as well that i was going to hospital to change my cast, as i have a broken leg and i'm in crutches; moreover was poring rain outside... When i got teh invoice after i'ev been charges, i sent an email, over and over again, nobody have any reply. I called them few times, and left voice messages (as nobody ever picks up the phone), no call bank nor reply until now, over 3 weeks has passed already. Don't use it, you have nobody to complain to in case the driver is rude or even offensive, and they just charge you whatever they wish, always EXTRA, never less
