Don't trust or use Uber if you absolutely have to be somewhere on time! Uber never showed up to take my wife and I to the airport! We had a recent 4am scheduled pickup to take my wife & I to the San Diego Airport to go to our son's wedding in Florida a few days ago. At 4:12am while we were waiting outside on our curb with our luggage we got a message saying "No drivers available". We FREAKED OUT as we had an airplane to catch. Uber then removed it from my Uber App like it it never happened. We couldn't get a cab in time to make the airplane so we had to drive to the airport and park there. We did not have time to go to Long Term parking as we were running late DUE TO UBER and we were forced to park in the short-term parking at $30 per day. We barely made our airplane to Florida for the wedding. We ended up having to pay $288 for parking, $232 MORE than if Uber had picked us up like we had a $56 contract for. This had my wife in tears worrying we wouldn't catch our airplane in time. We were both panicked trying to get to the airport in time, No apologies from Uber, just a curt 'No drivers available' message 12 minutes AFTER the Uber driver was due to arrive! If they had told us the day before or even hours before we could have hired a cab and not had that $288 airport parking fee we wouldn't have had to pay if uber had simply done what we expected and they agreed to do! So if you absolutely need to get somewhere and get there on time, don't trust Uber!
Great service, and very easy to use. All you need to do is download the app to your phone, then when you are ready to ride, put in the location you would like to go
Price usually higher after the journey. I used to use them for hospital appointments which went from £7 to £28 over night. I had to put up with smoke in the taxi and the driver lost 3 times. Never use them again
We were in a lane signaled to get into lane for exit,, driver sped up then we slowed down then dricer slowed down again wouldnt let us get over for exit. His license plate 2C MN865, he was driving crazy on the freeway with a customer in backseat.
He wasn't wearing a mask when we pulled up next to him. He cut us off and drove in the shoulder and got back in front of us trying to keep us from getting off the exit ramp on for Airport exit. He flipped us off as he kept us from getting over almost causing us to wreck our truck and 5th wheel
I just started working for Uber and on my 2nd job I didn't get paid for the trip. I tried several times to call for help and never got a real person to help or a way to speak to a live person. There are very few trips in this area so not a good way to make money.

Disgrace of a company second time cancelled on us at exactly 3 minutes before pickup to go to the airport WILL NEVER USE THIS DISGRACE OF A COMPANY! Thank god for four twos picking us up and driving us safety to the airport I hope and pray Uber goes under and never succeeds
So, I read the website and read the gift card advertising before purchasing for a ride. The ride said between $23 and $29 for the distance so I bought $30. The website says, "only if you don't have enough balance for your ride you will have to buy another gift card and add" couldn't get my ride because I kept getting an error message that in order to use my gift card I have to add a credit card. Well false advertising because as attached, the website said only if you did not have enough gift card balance for the cost of the ride, then I tried to count my losses and buy food instead, it said the same thing eventhough the food cost is much less than my balance. I hope they get rich of of robbing a senior and committing false advertising because if I had a credit card I would not have had to buy the gift card with my last money and still had to ended up taking the bus for $2.10 so buyer beware. I lost $30.00 for a $2.10 ride, Boycott them and hit them where it hurts, don't ever buy their gift cards.
You need to police your drivers better if they are going to be branded with your logo. Parking in disabled parking prevents actual disabled persons from utilizing parking that is reserved for them.
I waited 1 and a half hours to be lied to by a customer service rep about why my order was never delivered. Order was never even picked up, spoke with CS twice the first one said a driver was assigned to the order. The second one said the driver had a "technical issue" and was unable to complete delivery. Lie. The order never left the store.
Overcharged for a trip, due to driver refusing to follow the sat nav (because he knew better) causing a 20minute addition to my trip. I was charged for this and having now spoken to customer services they have completely ignored my issues and said they won't adjust the fare. As a lone female passenger, being sat in a car that is literally going in the wrong direction is a very unpleasant experience at 11pm. Completely disgusted with Ubers response today. I will literally never use them again. All I was asking was for the £5 additional charges to be removed... now they've lost a lot more than just my business I can assure you. Absolutely disgusted
Saturday May 12,2021, we had a plane to catch. 3 days before our departure we booked an Uber XL (because we had 3 suitcases) for 2pm.
At 2 p.m., the driver calls us and asks us where we are going. Surprised (because he should know it to the application we took beforehand) we tell him JFK airport and he tell us that it is too far for him (45mins) and transfer us with another driver. He arrives at 2:45 p.m. completely drugged (I'll pass you the details of the calls because he could not find our house) and tells us that he CANNOT take us because we have too many suitcases when he had plenty of room. We were already TOO LATE for our plane so we had no choice but to take our own car to go to the airport (with the parking fees that go with it). And of course when we explain this to him, he tells us I am canceling the race for you. We thank him and on our way to the airport another driver calls us to tell us he was waiting for us in front of our house, we explain the situation to him. And we saw that he credited $ 21.90. We find it unfair that they put us in trouble and make us pay for it! We're really pissed that no one drove us and on top of that we had to pay for their incompetence. And what is even less professional is that there is no COSTUMER SERVICE to contact. $#*! Uber!

Do not depend on Uber to pick you up if you have an important appointment or a meeting you need to get to. I have been told to set up or schedule a pick up by friends and believed that a company as big as Uber would follow through. I had a very important meeting I needed to get to last week. I scheduled a pick up at least 9 hours before I needed a pick up and got a confirmation email for a pickup at my allotted time. I gave myself an ample time to get to my destination because it had a 10min range from the time I chose for pickup. As I also showed up for pick up 15min before my set pickup time I felt confident that things will go smoothly. As my pickup time neared, no notice of any activity on the app. Still showing that I'm scheduled for a pickup. The pickup time has come and still no notice for a driver. I still had a 10min window as the app stated but I start to panic. I now try desperately to schedule a live ride and the price is surging to almost triple times the scheduled set price. I'm desperate now for any ride and try to book it but the pick up time range will be too late to get me to my meeting now! There is no phone number or any live service to assist me and I'm now in a panic mode! Basically I was very late for a meeting and had to find other mode of transportation. Very unreliable with no customer service. What is the use of scheduling a ride if it just simply confirms it with no intention to follow up? Because of Uber I experienced a devastating consequence. DO NOT RELY ON UBER!

I live in the San Diego area. Two of my Uber drivers did not know where our airport is. They often cannot find my home even I call them.
In my early retirement I drove for Uber for a few years. Uber completely exploits its drivers. My earnings were far below minimum wage after expenses.

I had as healed ride for work at 9:40 to be there at 10, because I did not want to just be sitting around because I can't clock in early. So at 9:20 it says my driver is 5 min away. That's gonna make me a whole 20 minutes early, where I have to either sit in the break room where there's no Wi-Fi connection and no data connection, or sit outside in the heat. When getting ahold of customer support and explained the situation all they wanted to offer was a 50¢ refund and cancel my ride. Not only was this sad as hell, but then I was unable to book another ride to work. And my card got charged twice, worst company ever!

The prices have been ridiculously high... they ripped me off so many times by charging more than the price shown upfront the last one was a toll fee according to them and there was no toll on the trip... sometimes the price can be fairly reasonable but i won't see the driver and if I cancel and request another ride the price will double or triple. Screw Uber!
