Uber's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from a perceived lack of reliable customer service and transparency in pricing. Many customers express frustration over unexpected charges, inadequate support during issues, and poor communication from drivers and the company itself. Positive feedback is scarce, with some drivers noting satisfactory earnings and enjoyable interactions with passengers. However, the overwhelming sentiment highlights a need for improved customer care and accountability, as many users report feeling abandoned and undervalued, leading to a growing trend of customers seeking alternatives to Uber's services.

Medicaid did a Uber ride all 3 drivers canceled because they were all at the wrong place and don't answer the phone at all much less give you plate numbers for the vehicle not even the name of the driver Uber y'all drivers suck that's why I prefer Lyft 100%
Uber, BAD EXPERIENCE, and so poor service.
A manual transaction (outside App) to a driver went wrong, then they go in and mess with balance.
Explained several times, like they do not read, instead empty standard reasons, which by the way have no merit in the context.
Arrogant customer service.
Cannot see transactions of wallet, because App does not provide, like they blind you.
App now shows error, they been in business 10 years or what, and cannot ensure simple flows work proper, even provided screenshots, is being ignored.

I listed my car on uber carshare to help a friend who wanted to rent it out. They let it happen before I was verified which I didn't realise was a step. Then they rejected my verification for and said I cannot re-apply.
I was very confused tried to contact them several times and eventually found out they had a computer error which was falsely rejecting applications. We came up with a solution but it has not worked, I still have a restricted account and am getting opposing emails saying 'you're ready to go' and also 'for security reasons we have a strict screening process and if you don't hear back from us you have been rejected'. This is after I already know it was a computer issue that has now been resolved and unresolved a couple of times.
I waited on the phone for 45 minutes before hanging up trying to speak to someone in the department that looks after loaning your car out. She made it sound so promising and like all the problems would be gone due to this phone call and no one f'ing answered.
The absolute worst customer service. One guy tried to follow up by asking me to send a photo of my passport via email to him to help verify then never wrote back to me when I asked if he thought email was secure.
I tried to escalate it twice and talk to someone not in customer care and both times were completely ignored.
I actually take a lot to get to this stage of frustration but honestly don't f'ing use this app to rent out your car. No one references your enquiries and no one cares at all.
They haven't responded to my email sent about a month ago and the driver recently I try to contact about a friend losing an item won't respond. Makes me wonder if the driver is a thief.
The email situation was simple as I was trying to change my number to my new number and they can't even respond. I'm just going to use Lyft as they work and resolve their issues fast and quick.
It is very unfortunate people have to use uber to make extra cash. They take some of your pay, They have bad customer service, They hang up the phone on you they don't speak English. They are located in the Philippine, they don't have any agent that is in the US and it is so hard to get them on the phone. It is not a way to do Business.
UBER does not pay their drivers enough. Driving somebody 2025 minutes for five dollars does not even pay for gas. And not to mention they advertise except the rides you want. So when we except rides that makes sense so we can make money it counts against us if we don't except all of them. For example, why would we except a ride, it takes 20 minutes to get to one person and they're only going 11 minutes. We don't make money on rides like that but yet it accounts against us if we don't accept it.
Booked an Uber for this morning map show driver is a block away. Then I get a notice my ride has ended. I never was picked up. I was charged the 40 plus dollars. No response from Uber!
About 3 years ago my cc was charged for a trip that I did not ask for, nor took. I tried to reach Uber but was diverted to some other outfit who charged me $19.98 or so to tectify the issue. Then that charge became monthly and so I had to cancel the cc. Done. Goodbye Uber.
Someone has stolen my bank account details and has used my bank card for uber rides or deliveries. I have 5 different charges on my bank statement. This card isn't even connected to my uber account. All my uber transactions go through PayPal.
I have informed uber that my bank account details have been stolen and there are no charger on my uber account but there are charges on my bank statement.
All you do is send me an email saying they can't discuss someone account and will not refund the money. Uber should be charge with Accessory after the fact and I bet this isn't the first time uber has received stolen money.
Uber is no longer responding to emails. They should be in jail. Bunch of criminals.
I scheduled a ride to the airport a month ago. The driver was assigned a few days ago. Do you think that people going to the airport for a party or for a flight? Any person would say for a flight, right? We guess our driver wasn't one who thought the same.
He decided to cancel our trip 15 minutes before the scheduled time. So, at 4 am I saw a cancellation notice. We found a driver with Lyft but it was 30 minutes late. And we were late for our flight too. We had to reschedule our flight and pay additional $118. Instead of coming at 11am direct flight, we would come at 10.20pm with two stops.
Richard took me to waffle house on 12/6/22 my phone fell out Richard later found it. I called Richard kept it.
I found other charges coming out of my bank account after Richard found my phone, he said he would be sure to return it to me he said I promise their customer support has gotten nowhere with Richard and he still has my phone. Richard the Uber driver committed fraud through my phone with my bank account. Customer service can't reach Richard he refuses to answer his phone through customer service for Uber.
Wedding was at 5:00PM and just a few miles away. Uber said it would arrive in 5 minutes so I ordered an Uber at 4:15PM. The uber did not show up until 4:42PM. I arrived to the wedding at 5:02PM and was not allowed in until the ceremony was finished. Thanks Uber for sucking and having me miss my friend's wedding. Should've just drove and got a Lyft back home. Learned my lesson and never using Uber again. OH and on top of their new ridiculous fees, I was charged a waiting fee. SO you are now charged a booking fee, temporary fuel charge (although gas prices have continuously been going down), Texas regulatory recovery fee and then my added wait fee. NEVER AGAIN. Lyft is where I hope all the business goes to.
I'm constantly being denied by untrained and uneducated drivers because of my service dog. Uber needs to step up, train their drivers and give consequences for their drivers breaking the Uber Policy and the Canadian Law.
How dare you accuse people of making a mess i hope you get sue i don,t like tou get lost
Thanks from greenland
I was hungry and had a taste for McDonalds. (I know, first mistake). Anyway, I ordered a Double Smoky BLT combo (fries and a Sprite), I ordered it to be delivered by UBER (second mistake). So the guy arrives and requests a PIN number for his phone. I had no idea what he was talking about and he eventually went back to his car. And then called me with another request for the PIN number.
I went back onto the laptop and found a PIN number (3550). I called him and gave him the number and he eventually left.
So, time to eat. Instead of the double burger it was a single. Instead of fries it was a hash brown, So I washed it down with my "sprite" which was just the soda water-no sprite.
So that was a grand waste of time and money. The order number from McDonalds was 1657 which clearly stated "Dbl Smoky BLT QPC".
So much for that...
When I read this line when searching for an uber I book a cab instead. This morning when looking for an Uber to get from the auto shop to my office (a 5 minute ride) the lowest quote was $23 so I took a cab for $8. Uber used to be so good and has now become a rip off! Also, the last time I took an Uber for a 15 minute ride the driver berated me for the short distance and said "I don't usually accept short rides like this one because it isn' worth my time"...yet he was driving a $100,000 BMW SUV so he wasn't doing to bad being an Uber driver.
I recently used Uber in New York City. Each time I was at the correct address and looking for the car. The first time, I messaged Uber to ask where the car was. Twice I found the car down the block from where it was to be. The third time, the car was on a different street. Then I was billed for a wait time. Contacting the company is all but impossible, worse than any other. I explained what happened and insisted they compensate me for the wait time. If they can charge when it's not my fault, I argued they owed me. They did issue a refund. I used it on Uber Eats and found there were additional charges I was unaware of when billed. Again, reaching them require a lot of effort. I'm very suspicious of this company. If it has nothing to hide, why doesn't their Customer Service number answer the phone, and why do emails to them get bounced back?
Always cancel last minute. Cannot seems to find a driver brave enough to come at my place... IN THE CITY.
I again made the mistake of ordering through them again. I always regret it. There is never a time that it is running behind or missing an item. Today. I order a breakfast sandwich and a redbull. 2 hours. Driver doesn't respond or anything. There prices are insane. I understand why they need it because business prices are insane. But it's just not worth it. It takes 10 minutes to pick it up. I am done with there service.
They hired people where each of them sweeping the responsibilities off their heads and passing you to another one and then they say wait for 5-7 business days and your issue will be solved, it's happening with me for last one month and I talked with 5-6 representatives and their responses were same but issue remain unsolved, today I tried to chat with a guy name sunpreet obviously an Indian and he was writing a sentence in 15 minutes, obviously serving his chaiii samoosa rather working, such a big company image with a garbage customer support ( shameful)
