I just started driving with Uber; I drove on a part-time basis and started driving with them in July 2022. I drove once in July 2022 and 2 times in January 2023. Mind you, the last two times that I did drive, I even got a tip from my passengers, thus, one can only assume that my riders were pleased with the service. Anyways, when I did try to drive with Uber again in January 2023, I was notified that my account had been deactivated due to low ratings and they wanted me to pay 60 dollars to take a course with them before I would be reactivated. I called them out on this and told them they were just thieved trying to steal people's hard earned money. How are you gonna rate a driver and temporarily deactivate someone after 2 rides? They are just scammers trying to steal people's money by having you take a 60 dollar course that you shouldn't have to take! Uber is losing so much money that they are trying to find ways to recoup that money by targeting drivers. DO NOT DRIVE WITH THEM; LYFT IS SO MUCH BETTER! I told Uber to deactivate my account on a permanent basis and that I wasn't gonna be a prey to their scam that they're running by giving them 60 dollars to reactivate my account. I will also be contacting the BBB about this and sharing my experience on all social media apps so that people are aware of what kind of fraudsters Uber is.

Robbery

I understand the help a driver thing but Jesus Christ charging an ectra 30 quid for 4 mins robbery! My partner didn't even get to her destination either it's normally a 9 pound fair and you've charged her while
In the car just an absurd price of 39 pounds! And to top it off has had to walk the extra 20 mins to her own work after dropping our daughter! I understand the fair thing for the drivers but where do you base them obsured rates from! It took and ectra 4 mins than usual and got charged an extra 30 quid due to traffic yoyre company is robbing people and to make it worse yoyre doing it to them on the spot in the veichles! She wouldn't have got the Uber if she knew it was going to do that putting people in situations like that it's disgusting! She's now working for 20 pounds at work today what a joke! Probably wouldn't cover her taxi home either should be ashamed and sort you're pricing out

I will never work for again and the supervisor Ben was a rude man he did not care bout what happen to my earnings. Yes the supervisor name is Ben from Uber and was rude because I ask bout my earnings I made and they said they could not give to me because they system was down. Bad management and rude person Ben.

I have been made late to work twice because of this. The first time, my driver wouldn't take me to my destination because "he didn't have time". I was informed of this immediately after getting in his car. I asked him "Why would you accept the fare without checking where the passenger is going first?" He couldn't speak English well enough to answer me. Another time I had a driver refuse to get on the highway (highway takes 15 minutes for me to get to work, back roads takes 30,35) despite me repeatedly telling him he was going to make me late for work. He didn't just answer me and just kept pointing to the map on his phone. I've taken this same trip literally a couple hundred times, and this was the only time a driver did not take the highway. Uber is a customer service based job, maybe stop hiring people who can't communicate effectively.

DO NOT TAKE UBER! I was charge $12 for Nothing! For drivers canceling my trip. Incompetent drivers unable to find an address. They charge me for this. Not only was I late for my appointment but I got charged for a non-service! Never will I take uber ever again! Stupid men unable to find an address and I get charged $6 for each. Are these people for real? Never ever ever!

Driver failed to show for 3:30 am pick up on 12/21/2022. Uber charged ME a $29 cancellation fee. It cost me $300 in airport parking and I almost missed my holiday flight. I have parking receipt and can provide proof. Totally unreliable. BEWARE.

Use the app for the first time and very disappointing. Order food from good buddy and when I canceled it in 5 minutes, did not gave me any warning that I will get charge for full amount of the order that I did not get. When I called them they said they can not do anything about it, what a horrible business they run. It should be their responsibility to take care of their customer. I will never use their uber eats again. Going to use skip the dishes from now on.

My price was 12.63 my driver was sent a note telling her to meet me at the gate of my apartment but she did what she wanted and went to the apartment anyway after I got in her car she yelled and cussed me saying she had to drop off another person the said she was in front of my building looking for my apartment that was creepy I'm never using Uber again they tried to give me a Uber cash in place of her attitude I'm good on Uber

I saw a $20 charge in my bank statement for a trip I never took. I reached out to Uber customer service via the app section Help. Multiple agents were involved and they either denied there was a charge: "The transaction is still pending and will be voided in a couple of days"; or claimed the charge was from a "real trip" when they could not provide a physical evidence of the trip; and worst of all, an agent refunded the money back to my personal card then charged the same amount to my business card (one would wonder what knid of trick is this and how dare they did this without my permission?). I requested to speak to someone from the management and a guy called me and he continued twisting the fact. He claimed he did not see a charge on my business card when there was a charge. Bottom line, this is a fraud from Uber and I have made a dispute through my credit card company.

BAD customer service

On a recent trip, I ended up stranded with my son in Puerto Rico. One of my days there, I secured a ride to an Airbnb using Uber. The driver app had no problem getting me to the indicated address.

The same day and to the same address, I ordered groceries from 2 separate stores using Uber eats. One of the orders was delivered, the other was not. The driver claimed she couldn't find the address, then claimed she delivered to the address I gave. The same address I gave my driver who successfully dropped me off. The same address given to the other Uber eats order that was successfully delivered. Yet Uber refuses to acknowledge my concern.

Now as further insult to injury, I have been getting email spammed by Uber eats in Spanish since ordering. My preferred language and only language is English.

App is not user friendly for filing concerns or complaints. There is no phone number for customers to call with concerns or complaints. Quite simply, in dealing with Uber, it's quite clear that they just don't care about customers.

Uber waiting time scam

I arrived at my pickup location and ordered my Uber from there. It took about 5 mins for the car to arrive. I saw the car arrive and park about 10 meters from me (it was a parking lot). It took me less than 15 seconds to reach it. The driver could have parked closer but it was fine for me as the car was only about 10 paces away. However, I was charged for waiting time!

In my town waiting time can only be charged after the driver has waited one minute. In this case I was already there and the driver did not have to wait at all.

Uber so called customer service chose not to believe me, saying that I had made a claim for false waiting time in the past. True. It has happened before. That doesn't mean to say it didn't happen again! I think some drivers just try to earn a few more cents by scamming customers in this way. Please watch out for this.
Uber has just lost a customer. There are better alternatives to Uber these days.

Overcharge!

I've used uber in the past for a ride to the airport. Paid $12 to $13. This time they charged me $43.00 to go 4 miles! I cannot get any help from their non exsisting customer service dept.I will walk before I ever use this company again!

Don't use Uber.

Don't use Uber, taxi. We have used Uber for the last 2 years over Covid and now these people are price gouging. I would encourage everyone to stop using a company that does this. They want me to use 100 words to talk about them and every word I have now is a negative one and hope people price out other options before using Uber.

But his devolved into complete garbage. My little cab company is more reliable. If you need to be somewhere like an interview, airport or Drs appointment at a certain time they are NOT RELIABLE. Drivers change their minds at the last minute and decide to cancel when they're two blocks away.
Watch your credit card statement... I've had to do three chargebacks because of these fools.

The Blackhole of Uber

I am furious. I had $300 of bogus Uber charges taken from my account. I was asleep in bed in Ohio during the time I supposedly took a 90 minute ride from NJ to NY. There is no way to get anyone on the phone. I was told the phone is only available to help drivers, not riders. I was told a ticket would be submitted and someone would "email" me. That was this morning. I have received no email. I cannot access my app because I keep getting a message that. Need to get a verification code from my security app. I have no idea what they are talking about.

Uber is the worse!
When I call a Uber from greenacres, Florida, is like banging my head on the wall! Is either the driver don't speak English to understand a simple text to let them know the past my location, they can't drive, when they get to the location they cancel the drive, they stay on their phone while driving, drive very slow, run the red light smh.

This is really not a review on driving, it's about some one has used my debit card in California & I live in Michigan & there is no customer service to look into this issue & it's EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. So my card can be used and absolutely no one is available. Not even in this so called app and it's not right. So I'm out of my money while some one in another state gets to use my card without it being verified if that card belongs to that person who used it. THIS IS NOT RIGHT, AND YES I'M EXTREMELY ANGRY. Because my bank can't dispute this until I speak with someone from uber. I will be calling my local news for this
