During the filing I got a message that I am qualified for a fee tax filing, YET $#*!s charged me $117.

I received extremely helpful customer support service with my tax return. They answered all my questions, took their time and made the process a lot more simple. Thank you again for your help!

Software would not work. Customer service was unwilling to help, wanted to charge us to talk to an accountant to fix their problem, they kept us on hold "trying to fix the problem " until 11:57. We pushed submit multiple times for 30 minutes and turbo tax was "processing " until 12:00. So we were late filing.

Turbotax is a complete scam. When I was filing I said I wanted the free option where I did everything myself. I then went in and did everything myself. They gave me ZERO help. By the end I somehow owed $150 because they said I asked for live help. I didn't and no one helped me throughout the process. I will never go back to turbotax. I would do anything to shut this business down. They are not actually trying to help. They only want to scam you for more money. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND.

This year Turbo tax did not allow me to deduct my mortgage interest or the insurance from my rental income schedule E so that cost me almost $5000. I will have to file an amended return in order to recapture that money. In the past it would specifically ask you about each and every one of the expenses now it just lets you Enter one line for miscellaneous and doesn't allow you to deduct insurance or mortgage unless you're itemizing and in that case it looks like you're double dipping. It's a horrible horrible Oversight on their part. I will not be using them again other than to file my amended return. It's strange that they didn't even notice and the software didn't pick up that you should have deductions for property taxes and things like that.

I spent 30 minutes doing my taxes, then it refused to send them even though I tried on three different devices and several different browsers. When I tried to contact customer support about why they were not transmitting my taxes I was told I had to pay $30 totalk to a person. That after I did every single thing the website said to do, including delete all the cookies on my computer, turning off pop up blockers, cookie filters, etc. I would love to be in a.class action suit for this fraud.

Not very truthful about the full cost of their services. I've used this service in the past and this is the only year I've had MANY problems.

Software: Cannot e-file state taxes because it is asking me to declare taxes paid to another state or jurisdiction. I did not do such.

Customer service: I was asked by the agent to allow access to my computer not feeling comfortable with this I declined as I was asking him to explain how I could fix this he hung up on me. Keep in mind I had already paid for this service. I have used this service for almost a decade. I will find another means to file my taxes.

I've used TurboTax to do my federal and state tax returns for the past six years. During that time, the price I paid to Intuit for the service has gone from $79 to $219, while my tax/investment situation has remained virtually the same. In addition, I have gotten tired of the animation, tired of the redundancy, and really tired of the unhelpful chat features. If the price were reasonable, I could overlook shortcomings in the human interface, because the tax algorithms behind it are good. There are cheaper and better ways to accomplish this most unpleasant task.

Was charged over $280.00 for service that was not provided. People on the phone explain they are not tax experts. My taxes would not be accepted by the federal or state tax organizations. Tried desperately to get help and they were unhelpful and the issue was never resolved
Went to Jackson Hewitt and they got my taxes done quickly.
Turbo tax would not refund my over $280.
I feel robed by Turbo tax. They took my money and did nothing! Will be making a report with the BBB.

This company blatantly disregards having customer service of any kind it disrespects the customers it says something is going to be free when it's basic and to that point they will force you to pay money regardless even though they say it will cost you zero Federal 0 state. Why the government has not stepped in and shut this company down is beyond me but I'm going to make it my life's mission that either changes happen within the whole entire company or this company is dismantled piece by piece and the founding members of this thing or ousted for the corporized greedy individuals they are. Even talking to the employees inside the company they don't even know half the stuff that's going on with its website and how it conducts itself with every step of the tax paying system there's no buffers in between tax officials and customer service and then there's no customer service unless you pay for a tax official. You cannot have a company and say it has customer service but yet you have to pay for it to get customer service. And why is it every time I talk to someone they say that I just have to pay for it and then request a refund that makes no sense why would I pay for something that's failing to take care of the things that I needed to take care of because you have no one to relay the information that I need to relay it to to the right parties of B or you do not have those parties be able to get a hold of them because they either don't exist or you laid them off

Turbo Tax sucks - it takes FOREVER to file your tax return. They ask you a bunch of stupid, confusing, random-$#*! questions that don't apply to you! I should have just gotten the disc version but they made the online version seem SUUUUPER convenient and affordable -- it is NOT! $#*! YOU TURBO TAX YOU JUST WANNA TAKE PEOPLE'S MONEY! SO RUDE!

First of all it used to be completely free to file on turbo, now there's an outstanding fee of $59 to file with them. As well as they wait UNTIL THE END to encourage, or should I say basically FORCE you to fill out your state returns and has the nerve to threaten to delete my progress on the state return if i don't pay an ADDITIONAL $59 LMAOOOOOOOO a complete joke. THE BEST PART IS YET TO COME, I've paid the extra $59 but the site is so glitched that it wont even allow me to select a drop down menu from the school districts within my county. THANKS FOR STEALING MY MONEY TURBOTAX

I've been using turbo tax for many years. And every time, I got a disk, entered my info, and it was done. Easy. This year? Never again. Everything online, help desk is in India, and no one speaks English, finally got a person in the states and couldn't help enter my code. The help desk online was wanting $$ just to ask a simple question. I will never recommend or use turbo tax again until they bring the disk back, have people in the states to help, and don't charge $5 for every damn question I need answered

Paid $179 which of course I didn't learn until I wanted to file. I tried to get help so next year I am not pushed into the expensive live help version-- to no avail. Tried to call them, tried to get a chat, tried to get live help that I paid for. I tried for several days. It buffers and tells you to "hang tight". After waiting and hanging tight, wasting a ton of time over and over and over again until the "Something didn't work" message prompts you to try again later.

I had the worst experience with their company. I applied 4 days before the tax deadline. Followed the prompts, and then checked the box that said if I would like for Turbo Tax to take the charges out of my tax return I said yes. I get to the end, sign my name, dated, submitted form. They took $178.00 out of my account. Ok, I complained to the bank that Turbo Tax made a mistake because they were to take it out of my tax return. So the bank returned it and Turbo Tax took it out again! I was upset. I did receive a text that said that Turbo Tax had a rejected my 2022 taxes and not to worry they were working on it. It is past the 15th and I have heard nothing. Also my charges are taken out but the service has not been applied or even thought of. So I had to go to BBB and make a complaint so they don't take it out again if I complain to the bank. Lousy service. They need to update and revamp their business and their website so they do not try to charge you for every little thing. Dark advertising, tricking their clients, really bad service.

Complete dog crap service. Yeah it's free… if you qualify. Student in another state? Your gonna pay incredibly high fees for having out of state income and residency income. Got laid off? Just to input a 1099G, you'll pay an extra 40 dollars. Have 2 jobs? There's another ridiculous fee. This year I personally used freetaxusa and paid 15 dollars for the exact same thing on turbo tax I would've paid 80-125. Another thing… they don't even show you the total on the paying page. Like I said… I didn't use it but my brother did and he got charged a ridiculously high price and he has no clue what he paid for… do yourself a favor and skip this site and never use it again. This is a company that preys on the people in tough shoes such as students, the seasonal workers and the less fortunate.
