Ive used their service for years without incident. I get an email in July stating I need to amend my 2022 return because I "uploaded" a duplicate copy of my 1098 form. Wait what? I never uploaded anything because all my information is already there. Also, I always pay extra for the max defense to avoid any errors. In addition to that, I go over everything with a fine toothed comb. I reach out to a live expert who was not helpful at all, but attempted to guide me through the amendment process. Irritated and frustrated i contact the IRS to dispute this alleged owed amount. No luck. They tell me to contact turbo tax. I reach out again, I finally speak to someone with sense who explains that this has happened before, but typically they catch it. She advised me to dispute asap. I do and these FOOLS tell me after sending in my documentation that all they can do is refund me the penalty incurred but the rest of the bill is mine! Im livid! What the hell did i pay extra for if you guys are making errors?! I will never use their service EVER. And im telling everyone i know!

Use TT for many years and it's worse and worse. They keep trying to gouge and sell extra bs. Then they hide and dont provide clear notification and receipt of their charges. Plus i switch to full service only to find out yhey messed up. So went back to my own filing but still got charged fraudulent charges from intuit.

I have problems with both 2021 and 2022 TurboTax. I filed my 2021 tax return in 2022. When I re-visit my filing by opening the software again in Oct 2023, it asked me for activation code, which is ridiculous. Of course I am not able to find the code and open the program. The issue that I have with 2022 TurboTax is fatal error 1603 when going through update, which cannot be resolved. The software cannot run with failed update. The manual update suggested on their website does not work either. I have to trick the software by cancel updating while it is doing it, which is the only way one can continue to use the software. Again, the software requires activation code after bypassing update although it was activated when it was installed. I had to call the software vendor to get the activation code. Fortunately, they still have a record of it. So, a lot of wasted time using Turbo Tax.

These people are all scammers from overseas taking all of u.s people's money. Do not give them anymore of your money. Open a u.s bank account and get a debit card that way.

I bonAmazonought the online program and went through the input stage but now you can go no further unless you pay them 129.00 Never before and no warning that they will charge over what I paid for the program.

Turbotax is a terrible program that lobbies the government to make sure you have to pay to do your taxes. The design tricks you into paying to file your taxes and is generally deceitful. The world would be a better place if Turbotax didn't exist.

They hang up on you, takes so much time answering superfluous questions, just need to talk to someone. They are unaccountable and charge you for nothing. I want to hold them responsible for bull$#*! service and wasting my time.

Used TurboTax to save time and cost of a professional. Big mistake. Just awful.
1. Very confusing for a senior.
2. Signing in difficult.
3. Could not get printing instructions.
4. Impossible to get help. Just a machine that sends an email that doesnt answer the question.
5. Needed factual & technical answers. No after sales service available & almost impossible finding their tele #, eventually did but got an answering machine that couldnt answer my question.
I should have spent $150.00 on a local tax firm & been far less frustrated.

I used Intuit TurboTax to file my Federal and Louisiana State taxes for 2022. As a result of their advice and calculations, I have been assessed $1400 in taxes and penalties.
They deny any fault in their calculations, and refuse to honor their "100 percent Guarantee."
NEVER use this product!

Don't trust TurboTax. Even after you've paid their exorbitant fees, they snuck in an additional $39 fee for having the fees deducted from your tax refund. I absolutely would have paid with credit card had I known. Wouldn't trust them. This is why they are facing the lawsuit for trying to scam their customers and charging all kinds of crazy fees when they lie to customers by saying their taxes are "too complicated" so customers MUST choose their paid versions. This was an illegal scam they ran and fortunately it caught up with them with this lawsuit.

They charge extra money for certain features after you are almost done with your forms and lobby the government to keep tax filing complicated.

Turbo tax messed up my taxes. Terribly bad. I paid the irs in full but turbo tax still owes me a $193 refund. I wouldn't use turbo tax in a million years.

I completed my return and paid their fees in March, and they did not file my return. They just sent me an email in July apologizing for failing to send me a timely reminder to file my return and offered a 20% discount offer on next year's return. This is completely unacceptable. I want everyone to know TurboTax is unreliable. I want my money back because they did not provide the service they promised. I tried to contact them over 6 times by email, but all of my emails were marked "undeliverable". Don't use them.

I've been using TurboTax for the better of 5 years. 2022 tax season was the last straw with this fraudulent company and their thievery partner TPG. Long story short, 2021 I filed with ease(so I thought). I got my state back within a week which was awesome! Then sometime goes and goes and goes. Finally I got a notification saying my federal $2,004 was finally deposited. However I only received $4 out of the $2,004. Spent several days emailing back and forth and several hours on the phone with customer care. The only answer I ever got was 'We show no reason or errors for you to have had $2000 withheld from you.'. It was until 2022 I finally was able to see someone had "refilled" after I had. As of today I'm still not sure how to fix this if it even can. Now on to 2022 tax season, still waiting on replacement check for federal from TPG and had to threaten with my legal team to even get what I got after months of little to no response. Turbotax has no answers and refuses to even help. Honestly save yourself the headache and your money and file with anyone else besides Turbotax.

Awful service...cant get to anyone the recorded line resists to connect to anyone...just says to go online and press help! It is like fast food in the worse customer service...do not recommend...

This is unfortunately the first bad review i've ever had to write. Everything went smoothly at first, but this review is about GETTING my refund. I'm a very understanding, patient person, however i have filed my taxes back in march (18th to be exact) and all ive gotten was the state part of my return, but wheres the rest of MY return? ($600) is being held hostage or something. On april 8th i got an email saying i was going to receive a check (since there was a problem with my bank) and its currently june 8th and i STILL have not received my 2nd check. The first one came in fine, so why is the 2nd part taking so long? On top of that, i can't even track my check because the IRS website can't even find it. I cannot connect to Turbo Tax NOR the IRS because they won't connect me to a human being, i only get to speak to the robot. Regardless, I wont stop till i get MY money. I usually go to H&R Block but i thought i'de give Turbo Tax a try since i've heard good things from my family. I AM NEEVVEEERR using Turbo Tax again. I fully regret it. I heard even Cashapp is better than Turbo Tax. If they don't want any issues i hope to see my money soon, unfortunately i am running out of patience.

I paid them a $30 fee to use my credit card so they could process my IRS payment and two months later I received a $1300 bill from the IRS stating that they never received a payment and penalties where being charged on a daily basis. I used their system to make my full balance payment to the IRS I was charged for both transactions (IRS & turbo tax fee) and the irs never received my payment. Called TurboTax to check confirmation of payment and no one could help me with this. It was a very very frustrating situation since I lost over $1300 using their software. I had to repay the IRS again this time I did it myself using the IRS website

Charged me almost 400 out of my bank account and refused to give me a refund as no one knows where my taxes are at. Vanish out of clear air, and they tell me sorry about my luck for the most part. Lost my business for good and I will definitely be spreading the word to everyone I know and warning how they're commenting crimes and getting away with it. Charging people to file there taxes and 3 months later they can't tell you where your money is or how much or anything. Theft of services I think but what do I know I'm not lawyer.hard working citizens getting screwed by this system.
