Credit Karma had the concept and the technology completely, easily and free with support for audits. Turbo Tax is absolutely horrible, less than a joke. Search the internet for better source. I tried before I bought and thank god I did. Don't download or pay for Turbo Tax!

During my process of trying to get help during this tax season, I decided to upgrade to the self employed package. I used this cause I made money using DoorDash, however I didn't realize that I didn't make enough to even file for that in the first place. I had to pay $160 for a service I didn't actually use outside of being told that I didn't need to file the form that prompted the upgrade. Not worth the money, I paid it but I still feel extremely ripped off. Just go with an actual expert locally if you don't know. Don't go through TurboTax if you aren't a regular W2 employee.

I filed my taxes on Jan 23,2023. The system put my state and federal together. I spoke to 4 different people. They were rude and stated they have nothing to do with software. Now, I have to just hope and pray I can get my taxes soon. If not, I was told by another rep. I had to amend my return in April. I will never use them again. They suck like they csr reps. Oh yea, and Marsha is a supervisor that have been doing taxes for 25 years. She couldn't even give me the correct info.

I used Turbo Tax for 2021. FAFSA informed applicants that they could use the 2021 FAFSA, just resubmit. My return had disappeared. Poof. So, the person I.chatted with was a nice lady. Unfortunately, my return had disappeared. She was nice enough, and all, but the service offered (by the company).was the worst I have experienced. I didn't waste my time with them and selected another preparer. I would never use them again. The costs are similar to HR Block, too.

Do not file w thus company use any other company becauw3 who they use to give u the loan lie and u end up sending more money using there service and credit karma only to not get the loan anyways I got screwed over and turbo tax says they can't even help cause they use a 3rd party for the loan and said on there end I'm approved it's all 1 big scam save ur self money go w any other company I already filled and n9w its to late for me to get any kind of advance on my taxes and I really needed it and now I'm screwed caus3 I counted on it and spent money I didn't have thinking I'd have that to fall back on and now I'm so screwed I don't no what I'm going to do someone should shut these companies down asap and b9w u can't teach customer service fie either company...

There is a scam going on between Turbotax Intuit this year and Credit Karma. Instead of asking IRS TO send your money to your personal account, your money goes to Credit Karma and you get notified about the money 2 days later, by the time you transfer the money into your account it takes another 2-3 days business days for the money to clear, a total of 4-5 days delay while your money could have been deposited directly into your account. Please find another tax company, I have been a victim and I do not you to be one

How pathetic for you turbo tax online I didn't think they were messing up one year but for 2022 it's messed up it told me I didn't qualify for earned income credit but h n r online gave it to me I don't know if they all do something wrong or crooked or are working for the irs but you're stealing our money n we're barely hanging on as it is

I usually buy Turbo tax on Amazon, should have done it again, what a nightmare! I went into Turbo Tax requested Deluxe Turbo Tax that comes with the State, at the end of my filing I was charged $89. Plus State $49. Over $150. Amazon $55.00! I will no longer file returns with Turbo Tax.

I tried turbotax in 2019. It said that I owed the IRS $214.00. I then tried HRblock the same day and ended up getting a tax return. Guess which one I went with.

I will never ever again use TurboTax in my life I'm beyond pissed at this company. They advertise false advertisement and lie. I was approved for your loan advancement and I've waited for days and now our bills are past due. I'll be cut off my payment plan since no money has appeared in 4 days. My family is struggling and your company advertises money for people who are struggling, I have contacted the BBB this is 100% illegal and I will make sure I tell everyone I know never to use turbo tax since it's a dishonest company. Worst experience I've ever had.

2021 is probably the last year that I will file using TurboTax. I have worked in the accounting filed most of my life. I've always done my mother's taxes and my daughter's taxes as well as my own. A few years back TurboTax started having issues--especially with their self employed programming. On my daughter's account the program froze and I was forced to create new emails and passwords and start over repeatedly. It got so convoluted that they finally emailed me the software to file offline which meant that the following year I had to enter everything manually. That same year for my own return, the program didn't work properly but after many transfers the IT department was able to find a work around. Each year since has presented its own challenges. Last year, I couldn't find a way to print my return. I had to ask my daughter to find it for me and email it to me so I would have a pdf of it in case TurboTax screwed up again. Lucky thing she did, because they lost all my records! Unfortunately, she only retrieved the Federal return so I have no record of the State form. This year TurboTax claims that I used a different ID (user name and password auto loaded from my computer) to file so they have no record of my taxes. None, zip, so I can't access my state return. This isn't the first time that TurboTax has lost my records. They make it impossible to get help from a person for a prior year return without buying the current year's product. God forbid I get audited! TurboTax claims that they guarantee their product and that they will be there to represent you if the IRS comes knocking. I highly doubt it! If they don't provide a way to contact customer service how are you going to ask for representation in an audit.They also do not have a way in their system to retrieve information based on your Social Security number or even your phone number.

Intuit Turbo tax lures you to use their tax preparation program, you spend effort and time to enter your data and then in the middle of the process it will ask you to pay $39 to continue. In my case I paid the $39 after which when i tried to add my Disaster Distribution using Form 8915F, the program did not have the Form and I couldn't complete my Return, I called the customer support, the agent confirmed that the Form 8915F will be added to their program by Feb 17,2023 I said I don't want to wait I need to find another Tax app program that can provide the Form and I then quit and requested for refund. Intuit denied the refund. I thought that's like stealing people's money by misleading advertisement and incomplete product and performance and no refund. Don't use Intuit Turbotax. Customer service is as bad as this program.

Turbo tax is a rip off they forced me to upgrade and charged me $201 and refuse to give it back when I didn't even approve the upgrade. I was doing a basic w-2 form I just waned to do a basic return and this is what I get. Next year it will be H&R block free I know people who used that and didn't get charged. I was also informed that if you have and issue and need to talk to somebody you get charged for that to. I have to click something to rate it and can't click on zero so I guess it's a one from me

I used to try to get ahold of customer service, well good luck on that one qnd getting the correct help. I used to think TurboTax was a good tax company and I have used them probably since before 2014, but they did away with and I no longer have access to my past tax returns saved anymoe except 2 years well I've been using them since 2014 or before all of them are Gone with NO Notice. OH SO SORRY IF YOU LOSE YOUR JOB and QUILIFY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BECAUSE IF YOU DO YOU CAN'T FILE YOUR TAXES WITH TURBOTAX FREE EDITION ANYMORE NOPE, SO BECAREFUL IF YOU LOSE YOUR JOB AND COLLECT UNEMPLOYMENT EVEN IF YOU QUALIFIED & ARE DESERVING YOUR UNEMPLOYMENT, JUST KNOW THAT YOU CAN NO LONGER USE THE FREE EDITION EVEN THOUGH YOUR INCOME WAS PROBABLY LOWER BECAUSE OF LOSING YOUR JOB AND THAT TURBOTAX FREE EDITION I THOUGHT WAS FOR PEOPLE THAT DIDN'T MAKE A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY HEY AND LOSING YOUR JOB YOU WOULD THINK MATTERED AND HELPING OUT PEOPLE WHO DONT MAKE MUCH OR DIDN'T OR WASN'T ABLE TO MAKE MORE DUE TO A LAYOFF OR OTHER REASON TO HAVE TO COLLECT UNEMPLOYMENT AND HAVE A 1099-G. DELETES YOUR PROIR TAXES NO NOTICE AND ONLY HELPS THE FEW CHOSEN KINDS OF PEOPLE, BUT NOT PEOPLE DOWN ON THEIR LUCK AND HAD TO COLLECT UNEMPLOYMENT THOUGH.

I chose the free filing, get to the end and think I'm paying to file my state tax and was charged 78.00. I did not need nor want this service as I just had a simple 1040 return. Called turbo tax as soon as I noticed what happened and of course they can't refund your money. They have it set up in a very sneaky way when you go to submit. First and last time I use them.

I have been using turbo tax for years. It is easy to use however they never have all the tax forms available when the IRS starts accepting taxes. Other tax sites have all the forms available yet I have to wait until 2/16 to finish my state return. This is not acceptable and will be the last time I use turbo tax if this happens again next year.

I've used turbo tax for the last 11 years, this will be my final year using them. Hidden fees are horrible also how do you go from $4000 down to $2000 the moment you hit submit.
I'd give them a zero if possible.

This site its so hungry for money they ll try any thing just to get their hands on your money I was charged by them to and I filed a claim with my bank I got my money back from this liars they advertise free tax filing but by the time you finish you end up with a hefty fee...

I filed my federal return for free, submitted and received my refund. When I did my state return I was charged for state and federal even though it was already filed. Spent an hour on the phone with a rep trying to get the fee removed. She stated she could refund me once I submitted my state even though that was supposed to be free filing also. Once I got everything done she stated "I'm sorry I can't refund you."
