I was told pick up was jun18 no show no call I called someone rude told me we pushed you back to Tuesday I informed the rude girl I wasn't going to be in ca Tuesday! What do I do with my stuff! Placed me on hold for 30 min then disconnected called back and office is closed for weekend! What am I suppose to do with my boxes!

I guess I didn't realize shipping was so expensive! I think I could drive the piece myself for less. Not your fault, rates are similar everywhere. Guess I'll just keep the $200 dresser.

When my father-in-law passed away, I travelled across the country to vacate his apartment. I was able to dispose of most of his furniture fairly quickly, but with limited time available, I began having difficulty finding a way to ship an antique high-boy dresser that had been in the family. A friend in the antique business recommended either Bekins or Bisson, but Bekins was totally unresponsive to numerous e-mails, and their toll-free number for the area was disconnected. Bisson did respond, but their sales representative never returned any of my numerous phone calls and voice mail messages. In desperation, I found TSI on the internet, and sent them a message through their website. Even thought this was a Sunday, I soon received a response from an actual person, and by Monday had shipment arranged. The only question was the timing - since I had to return home across the country before the end of the month, I wouldn't be here to open the room to the shippers, which made things logistically very complicated. Fortunately, Thomas Abbott, with whom I was dealing, made arrangements to have it picked up by Thursday of the week before I was to depart, which really put my mind at ease.
Not only will I in the future call TSI first in such situations, I would highly recommend that anyone who is faced with interstate shipping of furniture think of them. They did a very good job for us.

I contacted them when I first decided to send a large item form Kansas to California. I then got sick. I was contacted but not pressured. It felt good knowing they would be there as I got well. I now have the photos and the cedar chest ready to go and they are able to pick it up this week. I have to say that Phillip was the person I have dealt with so far and he is awesome. Patience but available.

Even though you were out of my personal price range, I was treated with respect. As a senior I appreciated this greatly. I'll be 70 my next Bday. Sometimes people forget that us seniors at one time, not that long ago, lead productive and viable lives. I for instance was a pediatric surgeon for 32 yrs. I worked with babies and children repairing cleft palates and hare lips, and between surgeries I worked ER for hospitals that I contracted to, I also spent seven yrs. Abroad with the Smile Project, precursor to Doctors without borders. I co-ran and co-owned a metal building corp. for 19 yrs. With my first husband and also owned 3 small business's of my own and helped start 14 free walk-in clinics in CA. For those who couldn't afford medical care, with 3 other doctors. I raised a family between jobs. After early retirement at 50, because of damage occurred to my hands, from an alcoholic hitting me head on, on the Nimitz freeway in San Francisco Bay Area, I went back to school as I was bored and became a full chef at the Le Cordon Bleu, culinary arts school in Paris France and owned a very successful catering business in Huntington Beach, CA. Most of my clientele were film industry people. Then 3 yrs ago all of my retirement was gambled away to a second marriage to a cruel and thieving man. Who gambled my money away and abused me once, that's when I left. He is severe PTSD/bi-polar & refused to take his meds. This is why I live below poverty level on SS. And really can't afford to use your service, but I wanted to convey to you the appreciation some of us seniors have when treated with respect. My experience with your Co. Was very pleasant and expedient. The young woman I spoke with was courteous and pleasant as she was mindful of my situation. Please keep up your policy of kindness and allowing dignity to prevail. This sort of experience goes a long way with the public eye and I would recommend your service to most everyone I know.
