The good: Furniture was picked up and delivered within the promised time frames. Movers on each end were professional, careful, and thorough.
The bad: The furniture was scheduled for pickup on the very last day of the range, with no notice in between about where the estimated times might be. Then the pickup movers arrived one day early, which we were able to manage. After pickup, there was no regular update about the status of the delivery. The account manager just said we'd get a call 24-48 hours before it arrived. The furniture arrived in the city on the last day of the promised range, but local delivery could not get it here until the following week.
We had no problem with any of the actual times, but were anxious that we went for weeks without any updates or hearing from anyone. When I called the account manager he was a bit condescending "As you SIGNED in your AGREEMENT you will be NOTIFIED of any activity 24-48 hours BEFORE the event." This was true. But the very long wait time between events was worrisome. Had we been pinged maybe once a week in that time with any update "Your shipment is still waiting for pickup" or "Your shipment is at X warehouse pending delivery" it would have put us at ease and the long wait and late delivery would not have been any problem.
The whole experience was professional and top-quality from beginning to end.
I was very nervous to have some sentimental antiques moved cross-country. I had no one to vouch for TSI except for online reviews, which were very positive but it's hard to ignore few people's bad experiences. Nonetheless, I took a chance on TSI, and it was an AMAZING experience. They were so efficient, courteous, and proactively kept me in the loop with every step of the process. More importantly, my precious antiques arrived on time, safe and sound. I would highly recommend TSI for anyone would has a small load of cargo to move cross-country.
Service is first class, never a problem.
Paid extra for a guaranteed pick up date. Driver was late and had to come back again 2 days later. Couldn't carry all load ( my fault). Had to have another truck. It didn't come until 26 days later. Missing some items.
Antique bookcase was carefully wrapped and delivered in perfect condition! Notification of pick up and delivery was good-status of shipping and anticipated delivery dates could be better but overall very satisfied with the service received.
The customer service from TSI was fine, but we couldn't be more disappointed with the actual moving company. Our dining room furniture was delivered, only after our inquiry, about a month later than promised. And the furniture was badly damaged, 3 out of 4 broken table legs and 4 damaged (in pieces) chairs. I don't know why the moving company bears no responsibility for the damage. I did alert TSI to the poor outcome, hoping that that moving company will no longer be used; I have not received any response from TSI.
Very satisfied all the way around. The packers did a great job. I would definitely recommend your services.
A very professional experience from the original phone call all the way through to delivery. I couldn't have found a better small volume mover.
My phone contact with TSI setting everything up was excellent and gave me a great feeling about the move. The contracted move company itself - Don Farr movers - I would rate "average", not "excellent". They were about two hours later than the initial phone contact on move day said they would be. Then, we were the last load onto the enormous truck, and we had a major problem getting everything on board. They wanted to pick the rest up a few days later, but I was moving furniture out of a parents' house and was only in town for the pickup, and leaving town the next day. They decided to rent a U-Haul and take some of our furniture temporarily to a storage facility and get it later. Finally, though, they got everything on board, but only by putting the top of an antique grandfather clock in the cab with them. It was stressful. Delivery went a little more smoothly, although it was 16 days between pickup and delivery, which was longer than I expected. The spindle at the top of the grandfather clock (the part that rode in the cab for at least part of the trip) was broken off upon delivery. Delivery was out of a different truck so clearly there was a transfer of goods between trucks at some point. They tried to deliver a chair which wasn't ours, and it took us pointing out the different sticker to get them not to. Made me wonder what might happen if someone actually wanted a piece that they tried to deliver to the wrong house. We got all our furniture, though, and in the end everything was fine (other than the broken spindle).
Easy to work with. Met all time deadlines. Item arrived in good condition!
My representative, Tom Tract, was excellent! I changed the order four times as family members decided to take additional furniture. Tom was patient and at the end of the day everyone's furniture arrived in tact and to the correct destination. I will definitely recommend TSI to anyone who has this type of moving need.
Answer: I don't think so. TSI offered the best quote out of 5 other companies
Answer: From what I can tell, a scam. They charged me $2000; confirmed a pickup date, and didnt show up. Since then they've been dodging calls and emails.
Answer: I got a quote from Kathy which was very responsive and professional
