Trustpilot has a rating of 1.1 stars from 1,117 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Trustpilot most frequently mention customer service, bad experience and integrity team. Trustpilot ranks 126th among Internet Safety sites.
We monitor reviews for authenticity
Forget about reporting and removing defamatory reviews on Trustpilot. It's not going to happen no matter what they write about your business. I call these the "revenge reviews."
Here's a direct quote from the Trustpilot "Content Integrity" team: "instead of focusing on keywords, we now look at context." Seriously?!
The best and ONLY thing left for you to do is to write a reply. Good luck with that!
90% of the reviews on trust pilot are bought and paid for. They know it and encourage it. Most positive reviews are posted shortly after a negative review in quick succession.
Small unknown companies have 50k+ reviews seriously warning label right there. If I see a trust pilot rating be flouted I automatically assume the company is shady now.
We are a small therapy clinic based in Manchester and Trustpilot is contently taking down our genuine reviews stating that our patients are not real people, but rather bots of something. We have had the patients prove that they have received treatments from us via their online booking confirmations and some of the reviews have been relisted, but this happens with almost every review we receive.
We were informed that we would gain a better standard of service if we paid a monthly fee of £199.00 and yet they state that they offer the same standard of service for paying and none paying users, YER RIGHT!
Because of this I have issued official complaints with Francis Muscat the Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and Andrea Coscelli the Chief Executive of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) for TRUSTPILOT's potential violations of the 2008 Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations.
Let's hope something is done about this disgraceful and horrid organisation! As TRUST should not be part of their name, when it has absolutely nothing to do with their official practices!
ADDITIONAL - As we are using a simple image that we obtained from "Google Images" that they do not like & we will not pay them £199.00 a month to display this image upon our website they have listed the following text across the top of our account page!
Warning! We've detected misuse on this page
We've found out that this company's use of the Trustpilot brand is misleading. The company is not displaying the most up-to-date ratings, TrustScore or reviews on their website (WHICH IS A TOTAL LIE).
We wanted to let you know that this company hasn't been playing by the rules. We take the integrity of our platform very seriously, (YES YOU MAKE PEOPLE PAY FOR IT) and when we uncover misuse, we put a stop to it. (Really, then why are there so many FAKE reviews on your platform then)?
So petty and for using a simple image, nothing more, an if this is how you treat people we are surprised that anyone pays this company, as we certainly won't!
I have travelled the world and like to leave reviews for other travellers. This site banns all my reviews that are low stars, this site is a fraud do not use
The site removes negative reviews at the request of the company's owners. And if you still use the paid services of the site Trustpilot.com they will write you more good reviews. Fake portal, which is not worth paying attention to. A rating of zero stars, one star, that's a lot for them.
Where businesses go to have reviews censored. If you leave a bad review for a business all they have to do is tell trust pilot "they don't believe your review is real" then trust pilot will ask for documentation and sceencaps. If you don't have them they remove your review.
I have tried several times to write a review concerning some fake companies but trust pilot has deleted my experience with this companies especially the mining website has have become very bad to customer. If I write my true with a company why do trust pilot delete it. So protecting right companies is not good whereby customers get a big of their as I have lost. So trust pilot should a llow customers to write their true experience with companies or close the company.
I have now had seven reviews critical of Hermes, posted in its Hermes UK Trustpilot profile, deemed "suspicious" and removed, some retrospectively, by Trustpilot's "advanced software". This review, which I am confident is honest and objective, was the last one to be removed:
"The last tracking event for a parcel that Hermes should have delivered on Friday 13 August told me that at 08:21 that day it was "on its way to the courier". But it didn't reach a courier and wasn't delivered. Neither was it delivered on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or today. Additionally, a collection (a return not initiated by me) scheduled for today was missed. It appears that Hermes, having lost the generally reliable courier I had for eight years a few weeks ago, once again can find nobody to deliver or collect parcels in my area and undelivered parcels are piling up at the depot. It will be the fourth time this has happened with parcels previously delayed by up to twelve days."
Trustpilot receives payment from Hermes for the Hermes UK profile which allows the company to invite reviews, a high proportion of which are positive. How inviting reviews boosts the ratings of businesses, with Hermes UK given as a example, is explored in Danny Richman's (SEO Training) report 'Can you trust Trustpilot?'. Richman appeared on a BBC Watchdog programme that examined Trustpilot's misleading ratings of some financial services businesses. Forgive me for suspecting that Trustpilot's "advanced software" also removes an unknown proportion of negative reviews from the Hermes UK profile. Unless Trustpilot monitors the decisions made by the software and publishes the proportion of reviews of individual businesses it removes we have no way of knowing. What I do know is that I posted exactly the same review in the Hermes (no UK) profile, for which Trustpilot receives no payment, and it is still there. Also there are no invited reviews in this profile and the "advanced software" does not appear to remove any critical reviews. Perhaps that is why it rates Hermes as "bad" with 1.4/5 stars when the Hermes UK profile that earns income for Trustpilot rates Hermes as "excellent" with 4.4/5 stars. 1.4/5 stars and "bad" is consistent with the ratings and rankings other sites have awarded Hermes.
They are a con! Should be banned from the internet. They allow companies that pay for the service to manipulate the feedback received.
See this example: RMG UK had feedback of "poor" in 2018/2019. RMG writes dozen of fake feedbacks daily and since the beginning of this year, their feedback climbed from "poor" to "average". I and several victims of RMG complained to Trustpilot and their compliance department was beyond useless.
We have a great website and customer satisfaction at gelatoseeds.com but the problem is that when deceitful customers talk trash on Trustpilot there is nothing you as a business can do about it. Trustpilot lets any jerk write a bad review and makes it impossible for a good business to remove fraudulent demeaning reviews. Trustpilot should vet new reviewers more successfully.
I left a review of a another company trust pilot removed it after a complaint by the company so i left another again trust pilot removed it i had to provide proof so i did but trust pilot removed my review i was allowed to be called FAKE on trust pilot holly from trust pilot asked for information which then verified my review BUT RHEA then sends a email accusing me of making reviews and then deleting WHEN IN FACT TRUST PILOT deleted them all i have had two emails threatening to remove me from trust pilot for this SEEMS RHEA cant comprehend that trust pilot removed the reviews
I had a bad experience with a company called Prestige Autoworks in the UK. I wrote an honest review. Within days the review was removed by Trustpilot, they sent me an email saying my proof of having had work done by the company was not sufficient and they could not confirm the phone number of the company that I had provided. A simple Google search under the company name showed the same number I had also provided. I sent several follow up emails which were then ignored as I could see that my review had not been reinstated. Long story short, only good reviews get published by trust pilot if the company owner pays them enough.
I wrote a 1 star review about H&T Pawn brokers in Croydon.
Everything was legit according to their rules, but they kept removing my review.
What a scam.
Nothing rings true on this site. You find multiple identical long reviews with just a few words substituted between numerous 1st time reviewers giving inflated ratings to companies that have clearly paid to advertise. I cannot trust anything on them and find them clogging searches for real information.
I left my opinion about Hermes UK, my review was deleted immediately, even though it didn't contain any incorrect words and had information about the service number which i bought, I contacted the trustpilot team of course with no answer. I tried to write an opinion several times, always the same, it is removed after a few minutes. Therefore, I think that someone takes money for some companies upvote. Please don't believe this site!
We were comparing Trustpilot to other similar platforms. During the assessment period, they were supportive. Eventually, we decided to go with another platform. At which point we started noticing negative reviews are being posted on the trial Trustpilot account they made for us. I am not saying all of our customers are happy it is natural to get negative reviews here and there because unhappy customers are usually more vocal. But the negative reviews about us on Trustpilot are unusual. Once we told them to deactivate the test account they responded by saying that it is a live page now. It has been a very bad experience and if this is a tactic for them to make us work for them it won't work.
So disappointed.
I left reviews for Poshmark and they keep removing them as if they have some kind of a business deal they are not a legit review company
I am a business owner for 5 years. There are two companies who started in our field like one month ago... both used trustpilot as GOOGLE indexes their STAR rating... both these companies have over 5000 reviews in matter of month... I am like *******% sure these are all fake machine generated reviews. I can easily see the content... there should be somewhere that we could report these guys
Good morning,
I'm having a problem with a company EXCEL-MINING.IO because I'm not being payed of my profits and I rated this company on TRUSTPILOT.
After giving all the proof that Trustpilot ask me, my reviews about excel-mining.io were published and blocked again.
Trustpilot is controlled by the companies and they are not helping people but companies continue cheeting people.
Answer: Simple it is their website so they remove reviews that are negative just like how they let complains report negative reviews on their website. Trustpilot is not a good website the company allows companys to report reviews and since the companys pay them many reviews are taken off and removed..
