They promise everything on their website for a price. But, when it goes to a local florist, the local florist does not contact you if there are delays by text as indicated on the order. Then, when confronted, "The local florist indicated they did not have the flowers available at that time. If I wanted the arrangement that the website offered, it would cost me an additional $20.
This is just like doing business with Lularoe or other MLM scam artists.
My review is like this. What the website says, and my billing indicates, this is not like ordering seafood at a fancy restaurant and paying current market value. Roses, daisies, and common flowers are not that flipping rare.
I called to see if my mothers flowers were delivered and they said they were still working on them. 5 minutes later i get an email stating they will not go forward with the floral arrangement i had paid for unless I sent them $25 MORE dollars. I said that's unacceptable... either amend the arrangement to fit the price i paid for or refund my money and eventually they said, 'sorry we are cancelling your order' HORRIBLE BUNCH OF CROOKS --STAY AWAY FROM THEM
I don't understand how this scam is allowed to continue - the site needs to be taken down immediately! I ordered a beautiful flower arrangement along with balloons and chocolate for my mother's 75th birthday. She did not receive anything so I emailed the company, who promptly asked for my order number, which I supplied, but then never got a response until I threatened to report them to the Colorado Attorney General's office. I then called the number listed on the website and got an extremely rude woman who told me I must have sent my order in AFTER the delivery trucks left for the day. What? They offer same day delivery and I ordered at 9 am that same day. I then told her that my bank was suspicious of the charge and I had recently read reviews that they were a scam so to just cancel my order and refund my money -- her response was completely unprofessional and childish; she said, "Ooh, I'm so scared of your threats!" and then hung up on me. This is a complete scam company - please do not use them. My bank cancelled my debit card and has refunded my money but now I have to go in and adjust all of my auto bill pay information so I get my bills paid on time with my new debit card. Ugh, I wish I had read reviews prior to my order. :(
A scam! Never delivered the flowers - only reason I know is because I followed up later. They decided they wanted to upcharge me an arrangement for $30 more...
DO NOT USE TROYER OR PAXTON FLOWERS
I ordered a wreath and a plaque to be delivered to my out of state Uncle's Funeral. Neither were delivered. They sent something completely different and are now only offering me a 10 % discount which I am pretty sure I will never receive. The plaque was meant for his Daughter. This is shameful and unacceptable. I have never been ripped off by anyone else when I have ordered flowers. DO NOT TRUST THEM! I should have read the reviews before I ordered! I am going to dispute this with my credit company! Janis Bierly
These people are just a scam, I ordered flowers that of course were never delivered and they have promised a refund that I better get! Do not do business with them! Only 1 star because I can't give them zero stars!
I placed an order, paid for it, received a confirmation at 10:30am and the flowers were never delivered and no communication. The next day after I emailed them they said they were sorry that the order was cancelled NEVER AGAIN
I placed an order this morning to be delivered to surprise my partner. By 430 still nothing delivered, checked again at 450 amd still noting. I called the company three times before getting someone on the line. 1st time it just rang and rang. 2nd time picked ip and said, "Troys floral please hold" just to be disconnected. Called right back and same thing. 3rd try got through to only find out that I should have gotten an email stating that the area going rate is higher then what was on their site and wanted another $25. Never received that email and asked if I wanted to continue with order. Really? What the point? The day is over and my partner is leaving work. Ruined my surprise! I told them to cancel it asking for full refund. Crappy company and service. Reading the other reviews makes me wonder how a company likeThis survives? I wish I would have read these reviews before ordering.
I order flowers on line from FL to deliver to client in Ohio. The order is placed for $75.88 and received e-mail that it would be delivered that day. I followed up them since the client hadn't reached out to say she received them. I phoned them and they said they sent me an e-mail stating they wanted $20 to deliver the flowers. I never received the e-mail, just horrible that you can't order flowers for less than $100 and that the follow through on the company is not good. I had them refund my money, don't want to do business with a company such as this!
I submitted my flower order the day before I wanted it delivered. They contacted me 1-day after the scheduled delivery date to tell me they couldn't deliver. Then 3-days later, again they told me my scheduled delivery for "today" couldn't be delivered and asking me again if I want to have it delivered the next day. It's 4 days after it should've been delivered and they're still not addressing why they're reaching out days after the fact. Their approach is a refund or too bad for you, because I'd prefer the delivery.
This is either a scam or the worst run business in history.
Everything that is wrong with Google. A national "company" pretending they are local.
Stay away and order from someone reputable!
I arranged to have flowers delivered to my friend in Nantucket. My credit card was charged and I received an email confirmation from Troy's Florist, thanking me for my order and confirming that the arrangement would be delivered the next day. I waited until 4:30pm the next day, and when the arrangement still had not come, I called Troy's. After waiting on-hold for 11 minutes, I was told that there was a "premium charge" of an additional $20 on my order, and that it could not be delivered until the following day. When I asked them why I had a receipt from them, thanking me for my order at the original price, they said that their system had not been updated yet, but I could have a refund if I wanted. When I asked them why they were not willing to engage in basic customer service and give me the arrangement for the price I had paidie, the price they had accepted and given me a receipt forI was told again that I could have a refund, but that... guess this... I would have to wait four days for the refund. So they charged me right away and gave me a receipt, but then they failed to deliver the flowers... told me (only after I had called them...) that I would have to pay an extra $20 if I wanted the flowers delivered... refused to give me the arrangement for the price they had charged my credit card... and then told me I'd have to wait four days to get a refund. I am furious. It seems to me that if Troy's had even a basic level of customer service, they would have explained that the "premium" fee was why the arrangement hadn't been delivered, apologized for the confusion, explained that their computer system had made a mistake in not charging me that extra fee, and then offered to deliver the arrangement the next day for the price I'd paid, the price they'd charged me, and the price their "system" had accepted. But nopeTroy's does not have even a basic level of customer service... and they will be keeping my money for four days in top of it!
You order flowers online with these people and after they miss the delivery date they then contact you wanting more money on top of your original price to deliver the flowers. Complete scam artist.
Promises of one day service. Could not deliver next day or next day after that? What's with that? So called not in the area. I call that consumer fraud in avertising. No proof of purchase because I canceled order.
I ordered my flowers on monday july 29th, to be delivered on Friday, Aug 2nd, for a birthday party...
I even called to confirm on the day of delivery, and was given a vague explanation of how my flowers might reach their destination by sometime that night... I believe I was lied to and that they knew the delivery wouldn't be made... not even offered a discount either! Flower arrangement was 100 bucks.
I received an email in the morning following up that a delivery was not made?
I was told that it would reach it's destination on the following monday, or that I could get a refund?...
This is time sensitive obviously and horrible!
The person on the phone (who is either the owner or the manager) even had an attitude about it!
If you're reading this, never do business with this business! Never-ever!
I order a white sympathy basket that was $100 and they delivered yellow and purple cheap small basket of flowers. Still waiting to hear from them. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.
I ordered birthday flowers at 9am, and expected delivery before 5 pm to a business in Alleen Texas. Delivery never arrived. Called them at 5:10 pm and was told they did not have the premium flowers in stock. Then I was told I would have to pay an extra $25 if I want the non-premium flowers delivered.
I requested a refund and was told I would receive my money back in one to two days. God Help Them If I don't Get My Money Back!
I wish that I would have read these reviews before ordering. Ordered a birthday balloon bouquet to be delivered for my husband's birthday. Placed the order at 10:00 am and asked if it could be delivered before 3:00. I called three times to see where the order was because it never arrived at my husband's work. I was told at 4:00 that they could not process the order because the order was too small. Someone should have told me that at 10:00 am not 4:00 when the day is over. Thanks for ruining the surprise for my husband. Your company is terrible. I hope NO one will use your services!
I ordered flowers for my daughter-in-laws birthday. They never arrived. I emailed the business and they stated they were happy to change the date! WTF! I told them to cancel my order. The worst business I have ever dealt with. How are they still in business?
I ordered a "Beautiful in Blue" bouquet for my mother's birthday and upgraded to a deluxe option. It was around $100. It was supposed to consist of blue and white lilies, roses and hydrangea. They sent her a small bouquet of yellow and orange daisies, carnations and alstroemeria. WHAT?! I called and they sent a receipt of a refund of my money but did not correct the flowers and cited a "substitution policy." It was ludicrous. Just stay away.
Answer: Scam. Nothing legit about these guys. Should have read the reviews before ordering with them.
Answer: Thought it was a local company to the area the flowers were tobe delivered. Turns out it's a scam.
Answer: It is a scam! Your order will be substituted for much cheaper (and completely different) flowers. No customer service to speak to on the phone. All issues must go via email.
Answer: Do not use them. This is a scam/fraudulent business.
Answer: And majority of the complaints relate to NON-DELIVERY... that is stealing... Troys Florist has committed CYBER CRIMES... ribbing off innocent people
Answer: That is a good question. It also makes me wonder about a lot of the other sites advertising they are "local". Finally went with 1-800 Flowers. I did find some excellent almost-local florists in nearby Portland Oregon who had the kind of unique arrangements I was looking for, but they don't deliver in Wash. State, possibly a sales tax issue.
Answer: DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM TROY FLORIST! NO FLOWERS for a FUNERAL!
Answer: These people have to answer the God himself for this. Share your experience with the ones you sought to comfort... but use it as a way to do something meaningful a little later when the calls and visits stop. Just be sure and dispute the charges IMMEDIATELY with your credit card company.
