I don't know why did they make their website so complicated. It's hard to understand.
I find that the site is useful but one thing which bugs me is there is too much ads and information in one page. I get confused sometimes. Overall has been helpful.
Trip Advisor really gives you the full picture of where you want to go. Sometimes I feel people worry about non important things! But it gives you a good sense of facilities and what it's actually like-- we all know the pictures aren't always accurate! I love how easy it is to navigate, the built in maps and most of all the city guides with the best rated things to do. It always helps find some hidden gems, if go back through enough pages!
Facts stated are not always correct so it's best to look at reviews posted in current year due to businesses changing hands, especially hotels. Overall it is quite informative.
It does gets a little confusing sometimes but very informative... I really liked it.
Whether it be a stay, travel, dining, you name it you can depend on this site
Lots of information about travel destination with genuine reviews. Love it. Several time booked holidays which are worth for the price.
This website is a lifesaver. You dont have to surf the web and all kinds of forums - just go here and find out what you want about a certain country or a hotel. Most of the reviews and info there is legit.
I always use the tripadvisor app on my cell to show me the NEAR BY restaurants. MUST have and great for new local places..
It is a good p[ace to view and read where ever it is you want to go. However,
We made reservations and the renters gave us bogus contact information.
When we complained to TA, the person just decided to cancel our reservation.
Another person tried to pass onto us, some $103.00 "fee", that he is suppose to pay.
We ended up finding a rent from local Jamaicans. We called them and worked it out so we paid NO security deposit or cleaning fee.
We just paid the rent in cash when we arrived. It worked out really good, but this is VERY RARE and not indicative of the experience you might have.
Never losing their number and we will not only rent from them, without Trip Advisor being involved.
All of those rent by owner sites are sketchy. (FLIPKEY, HOMEAWAY)
I write reviews of where I stay FOR TripAdvisor and they still would charge me a booking fee.
Try and work it out, that you do NOT give your credit card to anyone in a foreign country and NEVER Western Union or use PayPal.
TRIPADVISOR is NEVER going to help you out if anything goes awry.
They only care about getting the FEE from the RENTER for using their website.
You come dead last.
I had to file a dispute on a rental in Puerto Rico because the people turned out to be scammers.
They totally changed the contract and they added in other FEES, so we backed out.
It was a royal pain in the butt and I had to cut up my card and wait for a new one to arrive.
Crying and getting stressed out, booking a VACATION is not happening to us ever again.
ZERO customer service gets them a 2 star review!
This is our one source for deciding on where to stay, eat or visit. Due to the amount of people that post reviews here, you get an excellent indication of what to expect. Our criteria is if there is less than 10% negative reviews, then there is not a problem. If there is less than 5%, then it is a definite GO!
Great resource when it comes to choosing a place to stay. It provides detailed reviews and first hand comments on various hotels, apartments, or hostels in various cities and countries
I had used Trip Advisor occasionally but after a really bad restaurant experience in Denver, I decided to never try a restaurant while traveling without consulting it first. It has proven to be invaluable to my family when we travel and even locally when we want to look up a restaurant. Recently we found some great restaurants by using it and have not had a bad experience by following TA. It is good for hotels too but for attractions in new cities and restaurants you can't miss with it.
I use trip, advisor extensively when traveling to find reviews of restaurants and hotels. They are also a great way to find out about free things to do in a town.
I don't expect any place to have all 5 star ratings, because that is not life. I look to see how people report a problem handled and if things that bother them are the same things that bother me. For example, if people report that the front desk is rude at check in, that's not a biggie to me. Life is too short to be upset by rude people. However if they report a room is dirty or has bedbugs, then I stay away.
It's a great way to get a real feel for a place
Always check trip advisor before I book it just allows you to see other people's experiences and form an educated decision
This is a good site for some opinions but you have to remember, everybody has one.
I appreciate that they publish all reviews, positive and negative, so you get a good sense of what people think of a hotel or other business. I hardly ever look at guidebooks anymore because I find tripadvisor more reliable. In contrast, I posted a moderately negative review of a hotel on Agonda (along with other positive ones) and Agonda didn't publish it. I think Tripadvisor would publish it and give the owner a chance to respond, which is much more helpful and consumer-friendly.
I stayed at a hotel based off Tripadvisor reviews. Well The reviews are completely opposite what was posted. Had a rotten trip
Although I always check trip advisor, I also try to do some research on the web. Reviews are based on perspective.
Answer: Ya, its very easy, you can find your hotel and write as you want. What's your experience with this hotel.
Answer: Its hard to find it. I think you must need to find the correct name of your company or place. Then you can easily find any review
Answer: I don't have a chance about this. I think real reviews with good details published immediately.
