I love Trip Advisor! It's my "go to" web site to check reviews whether domestic or international.
I have been writing my experiences in www.tripadvisor.com and just realised that when you write a wrong experience regarding a Hotel, they just say that cannot publish it. A friend of mine which runs a Hotel has told me that they offer the possibility to the hotel owners to block the review because www.tripadvisor.com gets money from them. So I would advise you NOT to trust in this site with respect to hotels comments (I believe that restaurants are ok because they do not benefit from those comments). Now I have started to realised why the comments I read with respect to hotels did not much with my real experience. I hope this helps to users! Thanks
Love to travel definitely TripAdvisor is one of my favorite site. They will show you places that will surely make your travel an experience to remember.
Found good warnings, ratings, wonderful bed and breakfasts and great options for things to do during vacations.
I always read TA before visiting restaurants or booking hotels. I just like this service. You can always find great tips from travelers like yourself.
My Wife & I stayed at The Roebling Inn on the Delaware this weekend & it was wonderful as usual! We`ve stayed there many times over the years & have always had a great time. This charming Inn is like a trip back in time. Step off the front porch & see beautiful wildlife... from hummingbirds to eagles without even leaving the property. This weekend we saw a doe & her tiny fawn drinking from the river. You can walk to the Zane Grey Museum or the Roebling Bridge, or rent a canoe down the street, but bring your binoculars because this is a birder`s paradise. Innkeeper`s D. J. & Joanne are warm & friendly folks who will take care of your every need... The breakfasts are delicious and will fill you up for a busy day of sightseeing, antiquing or just relaxing! My Wife & I give this Inn 5 Stars! - Ray & Joanne Simons
I adore Tripadvisor! This site is like having a wise, omnipotent world traveler in your back pocket. There is so much terrific information on this site and it literally covers the world. AWESOME and IRREPLACEABLE Of course, you have to keep in mind that there are cheats out there gaming the system, which means a number of these reviews, both good and bad, can be fake. This means the actual rankings are often meaningless. You know, DD ranks higher than a towns beloved gourmet gem. Go to a town you know well and glance through the reviews. You'll get a good idea of what's going on. There are tons of excellent, real reviews, but you have to get used to ignoring the rankings and delving in a bit deeper.
As far as booking travel through TripAvisor, I don't use their booking links. I stopped booking hotel rooms and flights through third party sites like Expedia and Travelocity years ago. I got very tired of having a booking website middleman involved in these transactions. I'd call to cancel and have to go through the website support (nonexistent) instead of the hotel, or discover I couldn't cancel at all like a normal hotel guest would be able to. Plus I never found a booking website that offered better US TRAVEL deals than than the US hotel, airlines and car rental websites. NOTE: I have had largely negative experiences trying to directly book hotels, airlines, and car rentals when traveling in Europe. I still would not reccomend the trip advisor linked booking websites (Expedia etc), but I have used AirBnB, HomeAway, SkyScanner, and AutoEurope when traveling in Europe with great success.
So I don't do any bookings through TripAdvisor, but I CONSTANTLY lean on this site for reviews and advise. Thank you TripAdvisor for being my ever present travel buddy!
My first stop for travel preparation. I get to see good ideas for my itinerary. The forum is a helpful medium for queries with other travelers. Great job!
It's like having a best friend to consult and get tips about trips. Cool!
I've wrote quite a lot of review on TripAdvisor, and i got my title as something, if they have some advantage or some sort of benefit for the review write which would definitely better.
Tripadvisor helped us plan fabulous vacations. We had the most wonderful hotels and B&Bs in Italy, thanks to Tripadvisor. But now I wonder if it's been co-opted by businesses or they have a new site planner? Presently trying to plan a trip to see family in the UK and then head to the Lake District and various spots in Scotland. The whole time the reviews for various hotels are being obscured by ads and notes that 'this hotel is not available for your dates' even though every time I clear dates, they seem to be back again when I check the next place. I just want to check the hotels... if I like them I will see if they are available and enter the dates then. In planning multiple stops there are different dates and locating the good hotels is paramount -- I can plan a trip around favorite spots depending on their availability. I don't want the information blocked - which is what's happening now.
Also they are not showing maps as they once did and the traveller's photos, which used to be priceless to find out the real condition - now even when you click on it, you have to go to management or 3 separate windows of options when you've already clicked Traveller Photos! Then you have to go through albums... click, click, click, click! I'm now getting carpal tunnel in my fingers! I clicked it once... traveller photos! I liked going through all the photos. So frustrating.
I think I have only given glowing reviews on tripadvisor because, thanks to them, I've had wonderful experiences. So I'm sad to share my frustration about their site and what has happened to it. Have tried to contact them to ask if they would consider returning the site to how it was previously organized. Or if there have been other complaints. It's easy to read the reviews and tell if the review is written by someone with a genuine complaint, or if the review says more about the reviewer than the hotel! It used to be a priceless tool - but it's Pricefinder feature, along with the ads and photos, have lost them this devotee!
I like the fact that there is consistency with their service. Customer support is pretty great. I just wished the back end was simpler to manage
Tons of useful info! People traveling without TA, you're under a risk to miss something really interesting!
Discovered many cool places while travelling and even in my own neighbourhood. Sends too much email notifications regarding every move. But mostly I am satisfied.
My friend gave me the number 1-800-hotels-8 to book a hotel after she got a deal on a room for $129 per night. I called five minutes after her and got the same deal - $129 a night... except I didn't. When the bill came I was charged a $53 service charge that I was not told about. Her bill came to $146 and mine $182... and we booked the same type of room at the same hotel, using the same number, within minutes of each other.
I called customer service because I thought they had just made a mistake, but they claim that I agreed to the terms. When I talked to them, they didn't say $129 plus tax and an outrageous service charge. They just said $129 and tax.
They claim all calls are recorded and I told them to talk to IT and listen to that recording. No service fee was mentioned.
The customer service rep was not helpful and I escalated the call to a supervisor. The supervisor told me she was not able to make any kind of refund. I called her on the BS and asked to be escalated and she said there was no one to escalate the call to that she is the supervisor on duty. I've left my number and requested a call from her manager because she must work for someone, right?
Stay away from this service and trip advisor as they are subsidiaries of each other.

I have used TripAdvisor for the past two years or more. Usually competitive Airline ticket prices but use caution the site you might be directed to are not always the best. Such as VAYAMA (In your best interest to avoid them.) TripAdvisor gives you a good look at prices and just as important they have insightful information available about Hotels, restaurants and things to do in the places where you are traveling.
A very useful app not only in travels but in a home place also. YOu can always find the reviews on the certain places, to make sure of not wasting time for bad and boring places. Also they added an option for offline access to their service which is a great feature.
The best online resource for vacation planning. Very informative, and it's great how you can get reviews from people who have visited destinations at different times of the year to get a sense of how the different seasons change the experience.
One gripe is that some of the older posts are out of date so the information can be wrong.
Answer: Ya, its very easy, you can find your hotel and write as you want. What's your experience with this hotel.
Answer: Its hard to find it. I think you must need to find the correct name of your company or place. Then you can easily find any review
Answer: I don't have a chance about this. I think real reviews with good details published immediately.
