I live in Louisiana and was following the LSU Ag planting chart. They recommend planting fruit trees in my zone from Nov-Feb and citrus trees from Dec-Fed. I wanted to have everything planted in late Nov, early Dec. However, local nurseries won't have either available until springtime. Although I was not able to purchase citrus trees from Fast Growing Trees due to state restrictions not allowing citrus trees to be shipped into Louisiana, I was able to purchase blackberry, blueberry, apple, fig, and loquat trees and bushes. I now have them planted in early Dec, with frost protection in place, and am looking forward to being ahead of the game when spring green up comes while others are just starting to plant.
The ordering and arrival of the tree was easy and fast. However now three weeks in I'm not sure it will survive.
Delivery was as scheduled. Hydrangeas arrived in good condition and ready for planting before the ground freezes.
Fig arrived separately, partially dormant as expected given the time of year. It is spending the winter in unheated garage til spring.
I am a repeat customer here. The quality of the trees is excellent. They pack and ship them very well. I enjoy the tremendous variety of trees sold here. I am sad I'm running out of room to plant more trees..
Had the coverage for the 2 trees I purchased but FGT would only honor replacement "guarantee" for 1. No reasonable explanation was provided, and was not able to speak with the original FGT representative although made several requests to do so. No idea what was going on...
The website was easy to navigate. The purchase was easy to make. The whole thing from brainstorm idea to actuality took less than I thought it would. I'm extremely satisfied overall. Thank you so much.
Have ordered 5 products over the past 3 years with good growth result
Our Tree showed up in great shape and on time. Thanks.
Everything we've ever bought has survived my black thumb. We even moved a Chicago hardy fig we had planted in the ground to a new house, and it did fine!
My initial experiences with mail order trees/plants were not good. Dead, dry, barerooted twigs best describe the quality I was use to. But after my orders from FastGrowingTrees I feel more positive and less anxious about the condition and quality of what trees I order.
I have always been happy with the plants I ordered. They arrive in good condition. Cannot wait to order more plants in the future.
First they said they would ship within 5 days. After waiting 10 days, they said the inventory they said they had wasn't actually arriving for a month. I waited a couple of days and decided to cancel the order because it was already November. Then they said the order couldn't be cancelled because it already shipped. I don't know what kind of game that is, but it wasn't appreciated.
On time and looked great. Can't wait till spring to see how well they do
One tree came back to life quick and still has couple leaves, other tree not the same, lost all leafs and didnt respond like other tree?
Was very impressed with packing for the first 16 trees. Made to fit boxes with divders. All arrived intact.
2nd order of 7 was packed terribly. Boxes way too big, no divider, trees on top of each other and bent. Didn't open in 24 hours so missed the opportunity to return. All but 3 are straightening up. Very disappointed with the 2nd order.
It didn't live. I lived a couple months then died.
The Austrees that I ordered turned out beautiful! I bought 10 and planted them staggered. They do require a-lot of water so have a planned setup for soaking hoses for watering or you will quickly tire of manually watering. The first year I was concerned about the winter but they came out fine. Do use appropriate fertilizer for trees, slow release. We planted these as a wind break and shade for the backside of our house which had 11 windows and faced the setting sun. We planted the Austrees in 2005 and by 2014 the trees were taller than our 2 story home. Well worth every dollar spent.
I've ordered a lot of trees. Most have died. All the jacarandas, blueberry bushes, tri colored dapples, deodar cedar, and lemon tree
I bought multiple trees all small 1-2' tall. That shipped from a long ways away and yet they arrived in great condition. They have all flourished and look forward to seeing them for years to come.
