All I can tell you is stay away from TRAVELURO, the reviews say it all. I booked a hotel for 2 days but they charged me for 4 days and would not refund me the money for the two days I didn't stay. I will never use them again, there a lot better options out there.
Waste of money. Booked the wrong day by mistake. Couldn't change it or get a refund. Was $2 cheaper than competitors, but ended up costing me a lot more than that.
Booked us 5 days after the night we needed. They canceled my booking with no refund. $150 down the drain.
Completely misleading. Never told me the hotel I booked was for out of town people only. Then I could change any information or cancel my booking, no refund policy plus when you call customer service the phone keeps hanging up. Terrible company
Totally charged me 3 nights for 1 and then said they would refund and later wouldn't. It was night off and so I paid for a room and didn't use it bc they told me I would get a refund and then got no money back. They totally robbed me!
I booked a hotel for my wife, and her best friend, down in Florida through Travelero. I noticed when I got the confirmation email that I had booked the wrong day. The package was a "No Refund" deal. However when I explained what happened, the customer service department at Travelero was very curtious and assisted me in solving my mistake. It took a few hours for them to contact the hotel and soforth, but with patience and courtesy they fixed the mistake for me.
I highly reccomend using this company for your travel needs.
I booked a hotel through Traveluro, paid $126 to them and they were supposed to release $105 to the hotel and they NEVER did. When I got to the hotel they took a cc for incidentals and charged me $105 for the room b/c Traveluro didn't release the $$ I paid them. I have been calling them and they keep assuring me they will get my $105 refunded. I will NEVER use this site again, they are frauds! Beware of this terrible company!
We booked Holiday Inn Express and wanted to check in ASAP. BUT, lo and behold THEIR payment did not go through to HIE. After waiting on hold for a long time, the representative said she would work on it and needed 15-20 minutes to work on it. We are still waiting…. HORRIBLE!
I booked my reservation at Whyndham through Traveluro. My stay at Whyndham was less than good. I contacted Whyndham and they were extremely responsive and said they were going to refund my money to the company I booked through. I never received the refund. I contacted Traveluro to ask about the refund and they basically came me the run around saying it had to go through insurance etc etc. Ultimately, they were given the refund and did not give it back to me. A bunch of crooks. DO NOT use Traveluro!
This was my first time booking with this site and it will most definitely be my last! I wish I would have read all the bad reviews prior to booking! When I booked for Comfort Inn in old Town San Diego I selected a Standard Room with two Queen Beds. Once I received the conformation email, I noticed it only said Standard Room. Therefore, I called the Hotel directly to confirm that I in fact did reserve a Double Queen bed room and the person I spoke to confirmed I was booked for a King Bed Handicapped accessible room. I explained to the person that I had indeed selected the standard room with double queen beds, but that is not what they were showing on their end. I decided to call Traveluro, I tried several times and stayed on the phone waiting a long time and no one would ever pick up the phone. I called the Hotel back, I explained to them that I was unable to reach Traveluro, but I needed to change the room for a double. The gentleman was very helpful and tried, however the Expedia virtual card that the third parties provide the Hotels when bookings are made did not have any funds on it that my booking was attached to! I called and called and could not reach anyone at Traveluro... AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED THIS TRAVEL BOOKING SITE IS A MISLEADING AND A RIPOFF! Now I have to dispute with my credit card company! DO NOT...I REPEAT...DO NOT...BOOK WITH TRAVELURO!
Lied on the site about resort fees. Said I would pay one set fee but it was double at the hotel and there was nothing either side would do about it! Didn't give me the room I paid for either. Very disappointed. Will not use again.
I was on hold at Customer Service *******798 for a half hour, TWICE, no one picks up. Try to log on at Traveluro's website, your account will not be recognized. Neither the "Change" nor the "Cancel" your reservation button WORKS. THEY'RE IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH! Their cancellation verbiage says BEFORE the particular cut-off date is refundable. AFTER the cut-off date is non-refundable. Leaving... the cut-off date itself? Whcih I guess might be negotiable? IF only you could REACH THEM? WHICH YOU CAN'T! Needless to say, I will never use them again.
Booked through them... had an issue with the hotel. The hotel refunded the stay and traveluro got their money back but they never refunded my money. They are crooks. Do not use them.
I booked a hotel a month before Family Weekend in our daughter's college town. I never got a confirmation email, only an email saying the room purchase was successful and the money had been taken out of my account. The day of check-in, I call the hotel to let them know we're on the way. They can't find my name (I spoke to three people), and they are fully booked with everyone expected already checked in. I call Traveluro customer service. They say they will call the hotel and figure it out, and to give them an hour. Two hours later we arrive to town and I haven't heard back. I call the hotel again, nothing has changed. They don't have any rooms and they don't have my reservation. I call Traveluro again and they give me a confirmation number. I call the hotel a third time. They have no idea what this number means. I make sure I'm calling the right place ( I am) and then I call Traveluro again. They tell me to give them more time. It's 8 pm at this point. I get lucky and find a room at another hotel for twice the amount I paid for originally. I book it. It isn't until the next day I hear back from Traveluro with another confirmation number. I ask for a refund. They pass it on to their "escalation team". They send me another confirmation number. This cycle happens numerous times and seems like it was designed like this on purpose to exasperate you until you give up. I still have yet to receive a refund and they are now saying the hotel I booked has never been sold out of rooms, which practically every room in town at every hotel had been booked for this event that weekend. I'm surprised I was able to book something at the last minute. Don't give these people your money. They'll overbook you and then gaslight you and leave you with nothing. Tell everyone.
Traveluro is not a business they are criminals backed by the NYC District Attorney and Google. I booked through them and they sent an email saying the next email I get would be my reservation. The next email I got told me they took my money $436 but the fine print stated this was "not a confirmation of your booking please lookout for a separate confirmation email with details regarding your reservation. " Naturally I never received the reservation and when I got to the hotel they didn't have it. After being on hold for 12 minutes I hung up thinking something must be wrong cause no one would make you hold that long. I called back and waited 1 hour on hold until someone answered. She told me some nonsense about how "someone was working on your reservation still or maybe someone else was making a reservation at the same time which is why it didn't go through yet." I agreed to pay the hotel separately and cancelled the reservation. I am now in dispute and charging back on my credit card. Again these are criminals not a business. See redacted receipt below.
Read reviews after I purchased my hotel room. I was a little nervous but everything went smoothly. EZ in EZ out of my hotel.
I booked a hotel with Traveluro for a trip to FL. While there were many negative reviews, I contacted the hotel and they quickly confirmed my reservation. Perhaps it was a rough start for this booking agency, but I have to say my experience was flawless! Price was legit, booking was legit! Give them a chance to redeem themselves. I would recommend them and would use them again.
I was looking for a reservation for a specific date for a hotel in Chicago. Traveluro uses SEO/SEM to get to the top of search results and then combines that with a non-refundable system to swindle travelers.
While this is annoying, it wouldn't be so atrocious if their system gave the price for the CORRECT date that was initially clicked. I.e., It's a super deceptive business practice that preys off consumers looking to book something quickly at a (artificially) lower price.
Beyond that, their "support phone number" (+1 *******798) is not reachable and my multiple outreaches to their support have went unanswered.
For extra context, I was trying to book the hotel day-of (in August), and they gave me a confirmation for some random day in October that was unable to be changed OR anyone at the company reached to discuss.
Booked the wrong date (their fault) and unable to reach ANYONE in the company. Total scam. Charging back and going to tell the world about this terrible experience
After checking in to a roach infested "4 start hotel" and grossed out place was shady. I called them and demanded either money back or book me in another hotel. Their 24 line for check in with in 24 hours is non existent! No one answers after 2 hours holding. Emailed 4 times no response. Driving 15 hours with a toddler I had to check in to another hotel and another expense. I'm currently on the line with my credit card company filing dispute. Please do not book through here! Their competition is much better. Wish I would have listen to my gut!
Fake booking hotel website. You will never get what you booked for! They take your money and tell you they can't give you the hotel you paid for!
Answer: They don't honor the insurance they offer through their website they want they won't let you change dates I probably won't do anything for you very piss poor customer service
