So I got to the hotel and ended up having to pay for an additional room in prefer to stay the night. When I tried to find a contact number there was only a email contact and that's why I had to pay I order to stay.

I was in a situation that my surgery was changed because of ice, snow and high winds were forecast the day that I was booked. I requested that my reservation changed to the next day before the changed surgery. There was no help from TravelUp and the hotel.

I would say it a complete failure. I arrived to my confirmed booking and the hotel has no reservations for me and it completely booked. I'm out of town, with no hotel and the only means to contact the site is via email. Never trust them

Terrible. I tried to cancel my room and cannot. Best they can say is a possible refund.

However, as you might know, a refund typically comes after a reservation is canceled. So, as far as we understand, the best way to get your money back is to cancel the booking – not to worry, though, we’ve got your back!
If you’re hoping we can buy you a hotel too... well, we’d love to help, but unfortunately, our budget doesn’t quite stretch to offering full stays just yet! 😅

Room rate was published, but the {high} resort fee was added until I was checking out. Felt like a bait & switch.
