Many users appreciate the variety and affordability of items, often highlighting the meticulous packaging and attention to detail. However, concerns arise regarding inconsistencies in item descriptions, delayed shipping, and customer service issues, particularly regarding returns and authenticity claims. While the majority of experiences are favorable, a segment of customers expresses dissatisfaction with the handling of disputes and the accuracy of listings, indicating a need for improved oversight and support.

I sold a LV Neverfull on Tradesy. I always take video and pictures of me packaging the items. Tradesy just s my me an email saying they agreed with the buyer(whom Liz M told me Friday hadn't sent the bag back) that I could withdraw the funds Sunday. I'm going to contract the federal trade commission as well as homeland security as they handle cases of this. I bet money I'll get a fake bag back.
There is no way this company will stay in business. They find a way to screw the buyer and they find a way to screw the seller. For sellers, they advertise that they "take returns so you don't have to", yet that usually means they return your brand new, authentic items to you and withdraw your earnings for some flimsy excuse. One such excuse was that one of my photos included a stock photo when most of the items Tradesy lists under their seller IDs are comprised entirely of stock photos.
They have the most inexperienced authenticators working for them in-house. Their in-house moron deemed a Fendi wallet bought from the Fendi store inauthentic. It was almost hysterical. It may be hard to tell a fake in some instances, but to mistake a real product for a fake one shows tha you have no authentication expertise whatsoever. If you cannot authenticate properly, use a reputable company to do it.
To round it all out, they have the rudest customer service reps. They argue with you and will go back and forth until you are ready to pull your hair out. They seem to have no consistent policy in place (at least that they are aware of) as if you call 3 times about the same issue you will get 3 different responses.
Unlike other sites, your history on Tradesy also doesn't matter. If you are a seller of authentic items and have hundreds of perfect transactions and satisfied customers and a brand new person who just joined the site issues a false claim against you, prepare to lose it.
If you are a buyer and you have issues with your purchase, prepare to be stuck with a site credit. Because all you want after having a terrible experience, is to come back and purchase again from them, right?
There is no way they will be able to sustain a business with such poor customer service and I cannot wait to see them go under! Until then, keep your distance and stick with reputable consignment options.
This site is ripping ppl off PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM HERE I ASK SELLER WAS BAG AUTHENTIC SHE SAID YES I PAID AND I RECEIVED THIS THIN FAKE FLIMSY BAG I TOOK IT TO GUCCI STORE AND THEY SAID WE DONT NEED TO SEND THIS BAG OUT FOR AUTHENTICITY ITS NOT REAL HUNNI, I WAS SO EMBARRASSED I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED SELLER AND NO RESPONSE... SMH SCAM AND STILL NO REFUND EVEN AFTER I SHIPPED FAKE BAG BACK. Never again
I am genuinely saddened to read some of the reviews regarding Tradesy. I have had my own share of nightmares, shopping online, but NOT with Tradesy. I have literally spent thousands on this website, and I have not been disillusioned yet. When one of my orders (Valentino) was mistakenly cancelled, Tradesy IMMEDIATELY deposited the full amount for the item into my bank account. EVERY seller I have had the pleasure of doing business with, has been honest and professional and FAIR!
I have found some beautiful clothes, jewelry, handbags, wallets and more, all with tags (I forever press the "new with tags" option) and have YET TO REGRET A SINGLE PURCHASE.
No, I am not a planted review... or... an employee of Tradesy, I just really enjoy this website!
We took the time to list hundreds of items - photographing, writing listings, etc. We had over 150 positive sales, then they received one return that was supposedly a replica (we did not agree) and they closed our account for good. They gave no explanation and no warning. AWFUL COMPANY - they cannot do business this way and stay open for long. Don't trust them!
As a seller, you will get scammed. They take forever to pay sellers. If a buyer returns your item for ANY reason (NOT authentication reasons) they will yank the money from your bank account in 2 seconds, no questions asked. They suck because if they can TAKE money so quickly, they can PAY sellers quickly, yet they choose not to. $#*!s. Do not BUY or SELL from tradesy! They also sold me a fake LV 2 years ago, I just never reviewed them until now.
They always back with the buyers even your items are authentic. Tradesy, You are making HIGH commission for us sellers, without us making sales, u are making Nothing! If u keep siding with buyers unreasonably, sooner or later no one will sell on your site!
You are charging selling fees AND withdrawing fee as well. The withdrawal credit was actually showing as a "return" credit, meaning Tradesy saves that withdrawl fee themselves, there ain't no withdrawl fee collecting from the bank, just their own profit!
Tradesy will be going out of business if more seller boycott this company.
Tradesy = tragedy
You would not believe the rag I received that Tradesy swears is authentic Gucci. The photo looked good and I relied upon the authentic promise. What a farce! Kathy B. Assures me it is real yet the quality is not as good as Walmart pajamas. Stitches every which way, seams don't match up, extra fabric sticking out of the seams. She sent me numerous emails explaining the great lengths her Team goes through to authenticate the item. I literally laughed out loud. The thing is this seller is actually Tradesy for their own account under the name Strawberry Fields. This is 100% "fraud". Tradesy is directly selling counterfeit goods.
I have made a purchase for a Hermes bracelet, and after receiving the item, I took it to the local Hermes boutique in south coast plaza for verification of authenticity (just like what I do for any other items I buy). After Hermes was unable to verify (neither against nor in favor) the item and telling that they don't even carry that design/coloring, as well as telling me that based on the sizing and look, it is not even a men's bracelet, I decided to return the item in a week or so, but apparently that was too late according to their MOST STUPID 4-day return policy. They probably expect that people are all unemployed and have no life and all they do in life is to make business with Tradesy and to comply with their stupid policies. I did take the item to local Hermes boutique during my earliest chance, which was the labor day weekend, and got back to Tradesy on Tuesday morning September 6, but their stupid 4-day period has already been over on September 4! I buy very regularly from online fashion vendors (RealReal, Zappos, TrueFacet, etc), and besides the extremely generous return period of 365 days from Zappos, the rest go based on a reasonable period of 10-14 days. Tradesy was a rip off!
Furthermore, I had chosen to pay for the item from Affirm, and therefore, I could not take any action. If I had paid for the item through my credit card, I could easily dispute the transaction, but unfortunately the Tradesy-Affirm collaborative transaction that I made was a total ripoff, and I ended up paying $600+ for a bracelet that is both useless and uncertain of authenticity.
The Tradesy's customer service is a total ridiculous, they pretty much don't do anything except to repeat their stupid law over and over and over...
A total NO NO
I've only sold two pairs of genuine Nike's on Tradesy and the second pair is now coming back to me with no clear reason why the buyer is returning them. They were as accurately described as Tradesy allows and these shoes are CLEAN. Now I'm out the shipping it cost to mail them out and no income for the sale.
I've been buying & selling on eBay for over a decade with only very satisfied customers. I am very disappointed in the Tradesy process and will not continue using their service.
I've had nothing but positive experiences buying and selling on Tradesey. I have been on the website for a year now, and transactions have been easy with zero disappointment. If you decide to buy or sell- I highly advise to read the buyers or sellers agreement policy before proceeding. A big part of not being disappointed with using the website is knowing what to expect when you're buying or selling.
After reading some of the ratings I want to clarify something; Tradesey doesn't sell fake designer retail items. Tradesy just provides the space online; for sellers and buyers. It's against their policy to sell fake designer items. But like with anything else, sellers are going to try.
Ok lets start by saying dont ever purchase high end designer items from Tradesy cause you will at most get fake $#*!... Then you will send it back and Tradesy so called authentic checkers lol will inspect it to confirm authenticity. Dont expect a refund cause they will get back to you saying that they found the items to be 100% authentic, of coarse the big PLOY not to refund you cash back; however you will get a site credit. So you can buy more junk and they can keep the. $$$. I purchased a beanie Gucci hat and a Gucci tshirt for my sons bday gift. Both brand new with tags. When i recvd the items i actually laughed. The hat was so cheesy and cheap the plastic button on the hat was hanging off by a thread and the material was such poor quality, you can find better at Walmart for pennies. NOT KIDDING! Tshirt was no better looked like a Hanes tshirt with a ironed on Gucci logo. What a mess. They are giving me a site credit so now im stuck. Over $200 out the door. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Tradesy sells counterfeit purses, NEVER from Tradesy. They have hundreds of consumer affair and BBB complaints, They NEVER have the purse or any item in their possession to authenticate, It is shipped from the seller direct. In fact Tradesy offers per their website under want to sell... that they will help a seller "fix" their listings and images. They also do not adhere to Google's Trusted Merchant Guidelines. Funny... Kathy B in the authentication department at Tradesy claims she authenticates all listings. How? My pictures? You have sellers nationally. Plus how do you know the picture that is uploaded to Tradesy is the ACTUAL item before or after Tradesy photshops it? Kathy B " the authenticator" is like the wizard behind the green curtain. NIGHTMARE. I also fell pray to Tradesy's malicious intent to commit Fraud, Blackmail - giving a credit back to the original form of payment is at their discretion so their "we guarantee to be authentic" is a lie, they will give you Tradesy Credit which is Bribery and a Currency Scheme. My purchase was deemed to be counterfeit by the LV store in Los Angeles, by 3 LV employees. This is Organized crime - supplying illegal goods. The employees from the top down are committing whitecollar crimes behaving in unethical ways for selfgain for the benefit of a Tradesy, Stay Clear of Tradesy and do your research about them if you want to see what others say. Don't allow yourself to be a victim!
Racial profiling, poor patronizing service will determine who they will sell to, communicate with and who gets a store credit vs full refund
I have been a seller on Tradesy for about 2 years now. I had read about it in a magazine and decided to try it out. I liked the fact that Tradesy will send you packaging materials b/c I don't have the opportunity to go purchase shipping materials. Not only do they take forever to mail the shipping materials, I have lost sales b/c of it, but they also charge a ridiculous amount for shipping. $10 for something that should only cost $3. Not only that, but they allow buyers to return items for ridiculous reasons. I had someone return a dress b/c the threads around the tag were loose. They claimed misrepresentation despite the fact that there was a clear picture of the tag in my listing as well as a note in my item description. I would cancel my account, but that means having to go through and delete 100 posts before I can do so. They also charge you to withdraw your money from your account. HUGE RIP OFF!
This website is terrible. I wanted to buy a tank top and it said $21 and $8 for shipping so I filled in all my info to buy it and then it said that it costed $50 dollars so I didn't end up buying it
Ten days from when payment was taken to when seller brought item to Post Office. Not good enough!
Horrible website, totally messed up system. Quite a few sellers there are scam. Avoid sellers like bagity!
I have only ordered once and the shoes I ordered were new in the box and a good price for Tory Birch brand. They came quickly and made it easy if a return was warranted. I ordered again, they cancelled the order because it was not as posted, offered me a discount if I still wanted them, I refused and that was the end of the story. That is my experience with Tradesy. Toni in WV
This company robs everyday people in the form of falsely posted items ALSO of their hard earned cash. Order from this site, you deserve to be burned. Read the consistent posts all over the web stating the very same! You've been warned.
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
