Many users appreciate the variety and affordability of items, often highlighting the meticulous packaging and attention to detail. However, concerns arise regarding inconsistencies in item descriptions, delayed shipping, and customer service issues, particularly regarding returns and authenticity claims. Lots of great buys. The prices are right and free shipping and returns makes it a joy to buy things.
Awful experience. Tradesy doesn t have a reliable authentication team selling fake items. STAY AWAY!
Tradesy is my favorite online vintage / consignment retailer. It is a trustworthy marketplace to buy and sell high-end designer apparel. I love shopping on this site.
I got a fabulous deal on a Michael Kors bag, brand new and just as the seller described it. A+ experience.
Your website and order process was very straightforward and easy to use - -just placed my order and, so far, that is the only experience I've had.
Sold estate diamond and garnet earrings on Tradesy. Buyer kept them 3 weeks then on last day to return them due to more wear than! I stated they were used from estate and price reflected that fact. They were 1/3 price of new.
They wee professionally cleaned when sent and came back obviously worn.
Since becoming a member of Tradesy, I can tell you from experience how wonderful it is to be able to shop my favorite designers at a fraction of the cost. The sellers are wonderful! And the shipping time is great! This is my NEW ADDICTION!
I normally use Ebay and have been a powerseller on Ebay for over 10 years. A friend of mine told me about this site so I decided to give it a try. THANK GOD I only listed one item just to see how it goes. I listed the item about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I get a message for a poor buyer who apparently purchased the item 2 10 days ago and inquiring why she hasn't received it yet? A second message I received from her 10 mins later asking why I cancelled her purchase? I NEVER received a notification that the item was sold nor a notification of payment received! I got to their website to get a customer service phone number and of course no number available. Send them an email, over 24 hours no answer. I google Tradesy phone number and found a 310 number to call. Speak to customer service who informs me their "authenticity team" allegedly emailed me several times requesting additional photos and I never responded. LIES! They NEVER reached out to me, I searched my entire inbox, trash and junk box and I told her it is not true they never emailed me! So they just go into your account Cancel your sales without informing you, collect the money from the buyer without informing you and then LIE about it! I will NEVER do business with this site and I advice sellers BEWARE!
For context, I am a top rated seller on both ebay and poshmark. I decided to give Tradesy a try since it seemed you could sell higher end products for more money. I owned one brand new Lily Pulitzer dress that I sold for $100. I sent it off and put in the tracking number and the app said it wasn't an acceptable number. Nevermind that when I put it in at USPS, it popped right up as delivered. I asked the buyer if she received and she confirmed she had but it wasn't the right size and she planned on returning it. Tradsey then told her she had to pay shipping to return it and she would only get a credit if she did. Suddenly she denied every receiving it. Tradsey immediately sided with her and claimed I never shipped it. So I got no money from the deal and she still has my dress. Horrible experience.
Poor customer service. Authentication team answers only the questions that are convenient for them. FAKE ITEMS. RUN WHILE YOU CAN!
My first order and see how it goes. It was a very easy transaction and Hope everything works out the end
Wonderful site. I have made several purchases and all were good. I returned one item due to sizing, but I received a site credit to purchase another item. I appreciate the quality of service. I also, like the idea of "one of a kind" for all of my purchases.
It's a great place to shop, And you will love the great things you find, My best thing on Tradesy is cleaning out my closet and selling all the things I hardly ever used. And the best part is I make money or or I can by more things. Its a great way to get what you want at a great price.
Fantastic consignment website if you like high commissions, hidden fees and snarky customer service. Otherwise, I'd advise you sell and shop elsewhere.
I'm a seller on Tradesy. They have this return policy "hassle free return". But the thing is they claim they have so called expert checking the items unfortunately they are not expert. They accept return w/o informing seller that we have an item be returning, they withdraw funds w/o your knowledge no communications from Tradesy. If they can't withdraw money they will suspend your account... how lovely is that? Tradesy is not a good site to be honest... they are cheater. As a seller we need our items back, check the items properly if it is the same items we sold, unfortunately Tradesy wont let you do that. They want their money first, who knows if you get your item(s) back or not! Oh the best part worth only $16.00
The positive reviews are obviously a joke! My opinion is this site is out of the loop,ALOT of thrift,i spotted Marshall,tj maxx
And knock offs were so obvious!
I've made about $3000 on Tradesy. My closet is high end with new or slightly used high-end designer items. However, Tradesy repeatedly holds on to payments late. But what finally got me to pull my items from the website was a crazy purchaser who claimed my authentic Louis Vuitton Wrap I personally purchased on the Champs Elysee for n Paris was a fake. Tradesy NEVER told me the basis of the return. Never contacted me for a response. And they held the item for nearly 3 weeks before inexpertly claiming my very authentic tic Louis Vuitton Wrap was a fake. If Tradesy folks are so inept at a business, no matter everyone sells on Poshmark and other sites instead. Absolutely abysmal.
Continue to find the great bargains on Tradesy of things that I like an am able to buy at a reasonable price. I have purchased from this seller before and her things are always nice. Thanks to the great sellers and to you Tradesy continue the good work.
Love shopping on tradesy everyone has been so professional and items I have ordered have been exactly as described.
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
