Just read carefully and trust your seller and web site which I did and everything went great. Thanks Tradesy and my seller!
Will be buying more things, beautiful items on sale on Tradesy! You should try it now! Found a purse $500 cheaper than on e bay!
Love, love, love browsing and purchasing from Tradesy! I found brand new and perfect condition items that were just what I was looking for to add to my collection! I would highly recommend using Tradesy for all your must have items!
His review is about a consignment store: Tradesy
Obviously, I am a victim of their malpractice of selling counterfeit good. There are over 2 dozen cases open by the BBB. I just want to provide additional information and links and hopefully this can put them in the law enforcement's hands.
The following are sites you can report:
1. Stop Fake: stopfakes.gov
2. US Customs and Border Protection: cbp.gov. Search for FakeGoodsRealDangers
3. FBI.gov Search for counterfeit-goods-organization-convicted
I was really surprised to find such nice designer pieces on the resale market. This gives you a chance when you can't buy at all when it's first released to put your collections together when you can afford them; they're not necessarily forever gone.!
Thrilled with Tradesy! Was apprehensive at first however couldn't get my mind off certain pieces. So ecstatic I took the chance and they have a loyal customer! Highly recommend!
I wish ive never deal with tradesy. Returning items for no reason claiming that its not authentic or has no tags. I have the prove and they didnt provide any report why its not real or has no tags ( when it has) No photos, no details. Big fee for what! Deleting my account. Never tradesy again.
I have been a Tradesy seller for 5 years now and thought that with that many years under my belt and becoming a seasoned seller sales would get better. Wrong! What other sellers are saying about slow sales, inability to access funds, and lack of communication is spot on! I have a closet full of amazing designer and/or quality items but can't seem to sell very much. I work part-time and am caregiver to my dad so finding time to list On Tradesy can be tricky but somehow I manage. After much consideration I have decided that at the beginning of the new year I will be shutting down my Tradey closet. I've been researching a few consignment stores in my area and will slowly schlep my items there. I don't want to spend any more weekends photographing, describing and listing if sales are as slow as molasses. I much rather be doing something more productive. I honestly believe online designer resale has changed over the years and has become a very saturated market. If you don't have a bazillion $2 trinkets to sell that come from china nobody gives a rats $#*!. My items are from my own personal collection so they are well taken care of and undoubtedly authentic. I'm actually looking forward to not having to deal with the headaches of listing, low ballers, and constant monitoring of my closet. If you choose to sell, good luck!
I am completely in agreement with other sellers about the amount of time it takes for a seller to get our money! They state 21 days while the buyer is walking around with your designer item and possibly damaging it! They can then return with just about no questions or guarantee that it came that way!
I have called to ask why they won't transfer my money that is just sitting in their account and no one gives me the time of day, they could care less how many sales and money I have given them over the years. It's really sad because I will continue to purchase but I am pulling my merchandise and sticking with a Poshmark and have my funds in a few days not month!
Unlike other resell sites, you have to wait days upon days to receive your money from Tradesy once the buyer has received your item. Then, you wait weeks to get your money into your bank account if you decide to transfer it from your Tradesy account. THIS is where they are making the bulk of their money... holding onto your hard earned cash for extended periods of time well outside of guidelines. I'll stick with Poshmark, EBay and Mercari, thanks.
Do not waste your time, energy or money on this site. They have some very shady practices. If you are a seller they hold your funds for 21 days now and try to say it's to protect you and the buyer. Umm explain to me how someone having my item for 21 days and me not having my money for it helping me. Their percentage that they take out is not worth it. Their shipping is a rip off. They charge $10.50 for a $6.95 shipping label or $20.00 for some crappy $#*! $0.50 tissue paper(if you receive it) and some bag that you can get for free or cheaper at the post office. Take your business elsewhere.
I love this site. I have purchased a Gucci and Tori Burch bag from this site and I was overly satisfied with my purchases. I would recommend it to anyone looking for their perfect bag.
First purchase was a disaster. I was so excited to find a brand of shoes I liked and acknowledged like new meant they may have been slightly worn, but this shoes will go straight in the garbage! They are not like new and need to be repaired if I choose to wear them. If I had come across them at a garage sale for 50 cents I wouldn't have bothered, that are that bad!
I have procured coveted designer accessories on the easy payment plan with Affirm. Chanel on it's way NOW!
Horrible customer service and way too long for payout as a seller. It used to be good, not great but decent. Horrible now.
I had many questions as a first time buyer and all of my questions were answered quickly and professionally!
I have experience with this site as both buyer and seller. The plus is you can find great designer deals. Tradesy only has 2 categories for item condition: New with tags or Like New (without tags). I've purchased items that were listed Like New but turned out to be worn and used. Tradesy should allow for more condition listings such as used. They are very good at refunding money to buyers if you are not satisfied with a purchase. Recently Tradesy has had a series of missteps which are a turnoff. I was initially attracted to Tradesy because of their low commission price, however, they recently increased it. Since they increased their rate, I also have to increase my price so customers are losing out on better deals. The most egregious misstep is placing a 21 day hold on seller funds. Their explanation is that they want to guarantee accuracy or authenticity of a transaction. This doesn't fly because all sales go through them and are not handled by a 3rd party. Both buyer and seller must provide credit card and bank account information. The buyer also has 4 days to confirm that everything is in good order after receipt. No other selling site holds funds for 21 days. Tradesy proved to be dishonest in a recent selling transaction. The buyer had emailed me to ask if the dress would fit them since they had a large bust. I could not guarantee it but said that if it didn't fit Tradesy allows for returns and refund of money. The buyer purchased the item and it didn't work out so they asked for a refund. Usually if the reason is due to fit, the buyer gets a site credit and returns the item to Tradesy. Seller still gets to keep their money and Tradesy re-sells the item. In my case, Tradesy told me that after they got the dress back and inspected it, there was a small stain on the inside top of the dress which I did not disclose to the buyer and as such it was a misrepresentation. This is untrue since all of my items are brand new and carefully inspected before shipping. I think they did not want to keep and re-sell the dress because of their liberal return policy, no questions asked, they would have ended up with tons of returned merchandise. Needless to say when I got the dress back there was no stain.
I wish I would have researched Tradesy. They should be called Teasey instead. You see something you like, purchase it expecting to recieve it. You have your heart set on it only to be told too bad it's not available because the seller did not confirm within the three day time period. I recieved an email from Teasey saying my purchase was canceled. WTH. The seller had several active listings. Not sure why the seller did not make contact. My first time purchasing something and the seller flakes out. There may have been a good reason but I tried to contact the seller at a later time and recieved no response at all. According to Tradesy, when this happens they remove the listing and refund the money back to the buyer. They should remove the seller! I have had over 1000 transactions on eBay over the course of 18 years and never had the experience of a seller pull a disappearing act. Totally bogus that this is tolerated and the seller is still allowed to have listings on their website. Stay away.
Don't waste your money on this. Mostly old smelly stuff and you won't see your money back. Ever. Customer service is terrible. Sad biz. Innacurate listing. Second handed.
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
