The Selling fees are ridiculous, and upon completion of your sale, you then have to pay them 2.9 % of your money from which they have already taken their cut just to transfer it to your bank account. Addictive to the completed slight, it then takes them 4-7 business days (after they have held your money), just to make the transfer.
I have been selling on tradsey for a little over one and a half years and I only sell never buy so this is from a seller's perspective.
So I made a sale on tradsey and was being falsely accused of selling fake by the buyer and the buyer sent me several aggressive and disturbing messages. At that point, she didn't even receive the item yet because the package was still at the drop-off location. I went to the place where I dropped it off and was able to retrieve my package before it got shipped. Reported this to tradsey customer service right away and they responded saying that they will refer my emails to their "Authenticate and Security Department". The next thing I know, my item was removed and they told me that tradsey does not allow selling replicas. I told them that I was fully aware that policy and this is not a replica and requested them to give me the proof of them reaching that conclusion. They ignored me completely no matter how many emails I sent them. No response and no explaination.
I could care less and just sell my item somewhere else. The bottom line is that they are supposed to provide a platform where the members who sell and buy there can somehow be protected but that is not the case.
So you will probably have good experiences until something bad happens and they will not help you.
Tradesy holds funds for up to 21 days (you have no idea in that time frame when your funds will be released). Then another SEVEN BUSINESS days for them to transfer to your acct. So you are out your items, with no idea if or when you will get paid for them... a MONTH. No breaks for reliable long term sellers, you're still treated like nothing. When they make a mistake, no one takes responsibility there either way... always buyer or sellers fault. 20 minutes on hold to reach someone by phone... which is only open 4 hours a day California time.
Items are beautiful and prices are very good... for buyers. Just beware if you are a seller.
Was skeptical about purchasing but once I received my order all skepticism was eliminated. Would definitely purchase again and the seller Morning Star shipped a true representation of the product displayed. SATISFIED CUSTOMER!
I wish they had a better system in place to authenticate products on their site. I ended up purchasing items that weren't in the condition advertised but since I was outside of their return window nothing could be done about it. The REALREAL seems to have a more trustworthy business model.
Seller (or agent) was very up front about existing problems. I shipped the bag to my restorer(excellent for upscale leather goods). Needs a total new lining and just an outside cleanup. $400. Plus the 150 I paid to Tradesy. I say, knowing what the work will look like and the buyer fee that I have an excellent bargain for a soon to be lovely LV bag. I will gladly share the Restorer upon request. Just contact me thru Tradesy.
I ordered hand bag for my wife. Received item on August 28. My wife did not like the style, so I emailed them to see how to return ( I would have called but no phone number provided by website), I never received a response. I had to leave country shortly thereafter no returned September 6. I inquired gain on how to return and their response was they had a 4 day window to return items no my time was up. I complained but they basically told me too bad I didnt return timely.
This company is a scam, bad customer service, get their money, and screw you. $640.00 I am out with a product my wife has no desire to keep or us. Bad, bad service.

One of my best friends swears by this website, and because she is always fabulous, I had to check it out for myself. And I have! So not only do I have the app on my phone, and I am checking it constantly for items from my favorite designers, the customer service is great as well as the sellers. I look forward to working with them over and over. Also, there are ALOT of new items on this site. Some are gently and not so gently used, but it seems to be more new items on here, which I appreciate greatly. Also, I was in receipt of my order in under a week.

The website is very misleading. I received a completely fake item and the packaging was terribly done. I've used Trendlee and the packaging was beautiful along with verification of authenticity. DO NOT USE TRADESY!
I placed order on 08/28 and they said seller usually ship between 3-5 days, and it's 5 days already. One seller told me she's on vacation and will come back today, so most likely she will ship on Tuesday. Honestly if they don't ship by next Tuesday, I'll cancel the order and dispute my credit! I place an order with Real real and I received the order already. I think I'll do business with Real Real in future.
The sellers are not honest with their products. I bought a small item it was ripped, faded was not in good standard for resale.
Tradesy as a website is AMAZING. Very prompt, professional customer service. Always willing to go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. I shop almost everyday. If I could afford it, I would buy everyday! I just got a Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 for only $480! It's beautiful. And a pair of Givenchy Shark Lock boots, I only paid $1200! They retail for $2500! You can't beat that! Almost every seller I've come in contact with seems to have very respectable, and similar values. Of course their are the bad apples. But such is life... Tradesy is awesome! If you can afford the designers and prices. Don't hesitate! You wont regret it!
I enjoyed shopping on Tradesey. They had exactly what I was looking for. My favorite part was checking out as it was a simple process without too much rigamorole. I am curious to see how my shoes that I bought actually turn out. Yay!
