They deactivated my minutes when I changed my phone number. They said this normally does not happen, but her 'tool' would not allow her to confirm the 3,000 minutes I had remaining.
Today I have had quite possibly the worst experience in my entire life, today I purchased a replacement phone to replace my sons old broken Tracfone and the new Tracfone was working perfectly all I need to do was transfer the contact information to the new phone to make phone calls and message however the customer service worker population at Tracfone is filled to the brim with idiocy and incompetence. I called customer service at 1:00 PM and was left speaking to person after person for 9 hours as not one individual working there was able to figure out why my offsprings contact information wasn't being transferred to the new phone and was told useless solutions to my predicament then told that they would call me back and sometimes they didn't even bother calling back. This was a humongous waste of my time that left my patience drained with nothing but bitter disgust in the way these people would willingly treat another human, looking at us not as people deserving of respect but as dollar signs, nothing more than currency to fill their pockets,this is evident in the way they read off scripts,all workers sounding exactly the same as the last sounding like robots to the point where they should just let the answering machines do all the work as it would make no difference.
I am a Canadian who has used this "service" for several years when traveling to Florida. This year I arrived in Florida for a cruise and had no service. After contacting the company and about an hour on the phone I learned a new Verison compatible Sim card was required. I asked why I hadn' t been advised but received no reasonable explanation. Using their site I was told my phone was incompatible. Knowing my phone has worldwide 4g capability I did not accept this information.
I visited a nearby Verison store and after pleading with a rep., who also believed my phone was incompatible, after inserting a Verison Sim it worked.
I purchased Tracfone Sim package from Target and attempted to activate it. No luck after being shuffled to at least three agents, numerous account verifications and finally being told the Sim card was not in the system and that they would start a "ticket". We were now on a cruise and I had ordered a Sim from Tracfone.
On again arriving I Florida I inserted the new card and tried to activate. Again over an hour on the phone, three agents including a supervisor, multiple account verifications, read backs of Sim card number only to be told the phone is not compatible. Tried to explain phone worked with Verison card and was reading the Tracfone card. Agent refused to even try to activate it. Pleaded with her it send a signal and it would either work or not. Absolute refusal.
Agents very polite, and continuous apologizing for delays and asking for patience but absolutely useless. STAY AWAY.
I wish I could give -5 stars. The guy name "Benji" kept me on the phone for almost an hour just to tell me he couldn't help me properly because they are now using Verizon SIM cards instead of their own cards that are sold at Walmart. I will no longer be a customer...this company is the WORSE ever!
I recently tried to resolve a service issue with tracfone. My phone had stopped making and receiving calls on their service. Over a period of several days I dealt with several service reps who assured me they would fix my issue. Went back and forth numerous times with no results. I was promised callbacks that never happened. On the fourth day of this unproductive activity I was told that the reason my calls weren't going through was that I had no minutes. When I started this process I had over 13,000 minutes and over 15,000 texts on my account. Overnight my account dropped to zero. When I tried to resolve this I was basically called a liar. I was told that I had used my time and I simply had none left. I make very few phone calls and I certainly didn't use 13,000 minutes overnight on a nonworking phone.(All of my contacts were on my wife's phone). The last word was that I had used my minutes and there was nothing they could do about it. Basically they deleted my time to explain my inability to make calls. It appears to me that they lied to me and stole my minutes. Beware of of this service.
Ported my number out of them hour before my number got ported they charged my credit card in auto fill. THEY WILL NOT CREDIT MY CARD. STAY AWAY!
JUST CALL WASHINGTON STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL THAN YOU WILL SEE HOW LONG MORE THIS BUSINESS WILL WORK WITH OUT PENALTY TO PAY FOR FRAUD AND CHEATING PHONE CARDS.AND EVERYTHING ELSE...THE CUSTOMER SERVICES IS 0...CUSTOMER SERVICES PEOPLE DON'T KNOW NOTHING THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO CONNECT YOU ON SERVICES. BUT THEY TAKE MONEY IN ONLY 1 MINUTE...THET TAKE MONEY FROM YOU IN ONE MINUTE...JUST CALL WASHINGTON STATE WILL SEE HOW WORKS...PLEASE...
The Samsung Galaxy A51 stopped working. TracFone people required we send it in. We never received a replacement, called and they said they are waiting on a shipment...over three months and still nothing.
I asked if I could get refunded for the one year service remaining on the phone and they (a manager) said, "we don't give refunds." I don't expect to hear from them ever again.
My phone was not Receiving or Making calls. Day One-Spent 4 hours and 6 Agents\Techs to resolve the problem. One of the Agents\Techs Erased my Current Usage and voicemail password. Had nothing to do with the initial problem. My actual account data balance recorded as of 1/5/23: Voice 790, SMS 5086, Data 4.79. I finally got a Tech who knew what she was doing and resolved the Receiving & Making a call problem, and only restored voice usage, more than what I had stated & reset voicemail. Day Two-2 hrs. Later I provided the Agent with my actual account data balance Usage. He said I would be compensated Voice 1195, SMS 1000, Data 2GB. And that this was going to be a one time exception. Now you are telling me 'this is a one time exception', when it was Tracfone who was responsible for Erasing my Usage and now will not restore what they were responsible for losing. The decision for Tracfone to arbitrarily apply incorrect balances to my account is unacceptable, especially when I had provided them with the correct/actual balances that were Erased. Shorting my account is not a fair compensation for the loss of service that I experienced. AW
Over a period of three days and eleven calls, 8.1 hours wasted time problem solved. The CSR folks simply ignore the root of the problem. Number 11 rep said ok, wait a moment, problem fixed in mere moments. The reps read from a book of standard responses that mean NOTHING. You get what you pay for is a thought of mine. Sad!
Dealing with Tracfone has been one of the single worst experiences of my life. It is like being beaten over the head with a switch and having my testicles burned in hot oil while my limbs are sawed off. For all you masochists out there, I recommend Tracfone Wireless for a good time. Website continually fails to load. When I search something it takes me back to the home screen. I cannot find any useful information on there. Everything is misspelled- clearly they weren't trying. Occasionally it just decides 'we cannot process your transaction at this time' and that's it for the day! The design is absolutely unhelpful. Customer service is entirely inept, but you will spend hours with them anyway. I have no coverage and cannot use my phone to talk or text. I have spent months trying to diagnose the issue, ordering new SIM cards, spending long, long stretches of time talking with customer service, and eventually transferring my phone over to Verizon because it doesn't do $#*!. Now they cannot activate the phone to Verizon coverage and it still says 'provided by Tracfone Wireless.' So in total this has been like $500 dollars down the hole and I don't have a working phone. I don't expect any for-profit company to care at all about their customers' general well-being and happiness-I'm not so naive-but whoever is in charge of customer satisfaction at this company has no semblance of humanity.
After many hours over many days of dealing with under trained representatives to switch my minutes & phone # to my new Tracfone l finally contacted the FCC. They sent a letter on my behalf to complain about their pathetic service. A representative from Tracfone corporate contacted me a day later & my minutes & # were switched. If anyone else is tired of the merry-go-round game, they are playing, the FCC # is *******322. The # for Tracfone corporate headquarters is *******169 Ext. 1120. Good luck!
The sim card went bad (finally determined after 2 calls, first one said they would call back in one hour which never happened), order new one from questionable language person that wanted me to spell Pennsylvania. The address I gave did not match the one they came up with. Turns out on this instance that can not be changed. After repeated calls with different wrong answers, item was sent back to be reshipped again. Still waiting for anything, (More calls) tracking number or info. Last call sain they could not connect me to a supervisor and cannot give any address information out.
I had three tracfone lines. Customer service questions were never answered correctly, but I was too lazy to switch companies. Finally canceled all three lines. Not only did tracfone not let the phone numbers get ported, they continued billing me - and are still billing me - as of December 2022. When I called Tracfone and asked them how they could be billing a former customer with no tracfones, the company said they had to "validate" my phone number to research the problem. I go, "I don't have a tracfone." So they said they won't take me off of auto-pay, because they can't validate my phone number. They admitted I was being billed about $45 per month on auto-pay, and had no phone or services with their company. Their answer? "Dispute the charges through your credit card company. If the charges don't stop, cancel your card." Seriously - the worst company experience i've ever endured. Hours and hours and hours of my life on hold, with no resolution to their incompetence.
4+ hours on the phone to fix the data. But the phone still self drains the data I can't use. **** Me, **** TracFone. If I can convince just 1 person not to buy TracFone before they do, I have saved them 3 years of their life. Stress over one customer service call. If you have a TracFone follow my simple steps on how to fix it. Use a hammer, smash it to little bits. There you go problem solved. Also if your reading this and work for TracFone, don't apologize really do me a favor and go **** your self. All in love, hugs and kisses, phones suck anyways.
Horrible Service they try to help but cannot. They sent me a sim card for the Orbic I had to pay $40.00 because they were out of Volte. They sent me a new sim card but cannot activate phone. I get Verizon messages to use a credit card but I have 2,000 minutes on my Volte They cannot find problem and I cannot use the phone.!

I was forced to change to Verizon. Ever since I changed to the Tracfone Verizon SIM, I lost all of my 13 G. Of data. I am enrolled in the auto-renew plan. I have NO MOBILE DATA. I have spent many hours on the phone with Tracfone Customer service. Changing my APN settings and other settings to no help whatsoever.
I had used Tracfone for several years, just as a phone, nothing more than that. I am a senior and do not use a phone that much...My son wanted to put me on his plan and whatever I did, Tracfone would not give me the transfer number to my phone. The employee was rather short with me for changing service, made several attempts or so he said, to verify the caller was me...As a resort, he asked which is better, to text me or email me a security code, I answered email as I already had it open...He then proceeded to text me with the code while I was looking at my emails. Said he could not give me what I needed without this verification. After about 30 minutes of what usually is an easy procedure, I understand, I told my son just get me a new phone number...The associate would not let me talk with anyone else and said there was nothing more he could do. So a relatively easy request has now ended up with a new phone and having to enter my contacts, etc, all over. But, worth it, to get rid of Tracfone because the customer service is not friendly, not coopoerative and flat out will refuse any suggestions, like me asking to email and he texting me. Glad I am changing though overall, do not need the aggravation.
For 3 months now I've been trying to get a replacement Phone from TracFone to no avail. They have my broken phone and been giving me the round a round for 3 plus months. In my opinion everyone there is incompetent and fail to realize my problem. First they send my replacement phone to an incorrect address, Second they take up too much of your time over the phone without resolution,Third I reported them to the FCC and they still haven't resolved my issue. I wish I could put them out of business, they're customer service is below standard.
The website was defective, and the customer service was horrible! Used to be a good company but it sucks after covid!
Answer: Tracfone uses only the most feral and unskilled labor available in the Philippines for their customer service centers. I've encountered hundreds of these creatures and found only two helpful people. The rest just seem to be thinking about bananas all day English skills and intelligence are hard to find at Tracfone's customer care center, but the script reading skills (in broken English) are among the best in Asia.
Answer: Tracfone hires only the most feral and ignorant Filipinos to work their customer care center. I've been on the phone for dozens and dozens of hours with these mindless drones and have only found one or two people (out of hundreds) that were actually helpful. The ability to speak English clearly or have a glimmer of intelligence are NOT prerequisites for employment at Tracfone.
Answer: Yes, go to tracfone.com (or their app) and look for Add-ons under Buy Air Time. It is currently $5 for 1,000 texts. Great price! I just ordered one year of service for $49 and the1,000 texts for $5. Cant beat it.
