I've used multiple resume services since 2004! This was my only experience and possibly my worst experience ever with any company.

When I started to apply for jobs I received some negative feed back about the resume. Understanding that resumes if you ask 100 people you will get 85 + opinions, I reached out to my professional contacts being 4 corporate HR contacts and a couple recruiters I'd had 10-15 yr history with. The feedback was consistent overall, that it was too full of buzz words but really said nothing. Parts of the resume they didn't understand.

I reached out very professional like to get a revision. It turned very nasty including from the management team.- name calling, putting me down etc.

Oh did I mention this is probably my 2 bad review ever and I used the service in 2019 but I'm still scared by the experience!

I was a little hesitant to use any resume services at first. As everyone knows, this can be the most difficult part of the job hunt; getting a stand out resume! A friend who was working in a company I have been applying to for years, suggested that I use TopResume. I very quickly received a first draft and only had to undergo one edit. I paid for the rush due to the big hiring boom right now which was also very much worth it. With the resume provided, I was able to land FOUR interviews with very reputable organizations. The most difficult part is that I was extended an offer by ALL OF THEM! I always knew I would do well in the interview but was really struggling to get past the applicant tracking software. I would not be on the track to my dream career if it were not for TopResume! Thanks so much for changing my life!

I paid $349 for TopResume. Here's what I received:
1) A re-formatted resume in which the writer co-mingled all of my experience - thus I had to re-write the entire thing
2) A cover letter that is so generic - it's useless
3) A LinkedIn profile summary - that I couldn't use as it was inaccurate and so generic it added no value to help differentiate me

A total waste of money

Literally everything that can go wrong will go wrong. This is the worst service ever.

The positive reviews have to be fake. This is a total scam.

I paid for the "top 10%" writers, and the resume I got was word salad that did not accurately represent my experience. When I asked for edits, the writer only changed five words in the entire resume. I sent a list of keywords for my industry, but all he did was change words like "managed" to words like "assisted." It actually made it WORSE, which I didn't think was possible. And still no industry buzzwords.

And the format was totally outdated. The cover letter had a section for the street address of the hiring manager. That's not a thing in the digital age.

The summary section was a whole quarter of the first page, with. 25" margins. It was a WALL of text that sent shivers down my spine. And it was only five sentences long! Seriously. I am attaching a screenshot.

My favorite sentence from the cover letter is: "Having progressed through a series of roles over more than nine years, I am excited to apply..." Uhm. WHAT?! That says nothing!

No refunds are available. If you ask to be paired with a different writer, nothing happens.

I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau. This is just insane. TopResume IS A SCAM! Don't waste your money.

They provide a piece of useable junk. Their resume was terrible and the writer had the nerve to get agitated because I called them out on the quality. RUNAWAY They use a bunch of bots and delays
