The rewrite I received was unacceptable. It had multiple grammatical errors and typo's, information about my previous positions and experience was out right false (seemed to be made up just to insert more key buzz words), and even my contact information was incorrect. They refused to refund my money but offered to do another draft, so I thought I would let them try. When I received the second draft it was from the same writer and the same issues were still present. This service is not worth the money at all.

I was very happy with my experience with topresume. The template used was very professional. In fact one of the employers I applied for commented she liked my resume design. My resume writer was very responsive to my questions and request. It is expensive but it seems to be inline with what other companies are charging for the same service. In fact I'm thinking of using them to rewrite my Linkind profile. I would suggest TopResume to anyone that is having trouble getting interviews but is well-educated and/or has some good experience that are inline with the jobs you are applying.

I have had my credit card charged and not received a resume even though it was promised a week ago. They are claiming it has got lost in my spam and junk filters.

After several posts on Social Media I received, in my opinion a very poor quality but beautifully formatted resume. I have now found a very good and professional organisation, based in Melbourne Australia, www.wordsmithconsultants.com.au, that have produced a very high quality resume in a cost effective and timely manner.

If you're horrible at writing then this service might be good for you. However, if you already have a decent resume they really won't be able to improve much. I personally would not recommend this service to people simply because it was not worth the price. I paid $135 for the cover letter and the resume, and they barely critique both. I even submitted their revised copy back on their resume for an assessment, and they came back with a list of improvements. This shows that they're just using a computer generated response with whatever resume you submit. It was not worth the money, I suggest people just ask friends for help.

Also, TopResume give people $20 Amazon credit for giving them a positive review. So read every positive review with a caution.

I got an email from ZipRecruiter indicating that I can get a free assessment of my resume from one of their partners (TopResume). Given that the initial assessment is free anyway, I decided to submit my resume to see what they say. Note, that I have already revised my resume based on the free advice of other recruiters that I have worked with. I think unless your language skills is poor, you should be able to find a free template on the Internet and put the content of your resume into that format. I personally don't think you need somebody else to tell you about your skills and experience.

Then again, my problem with landing a job typically isn't in the getting an interview part (meaning my resume and cover letter are okay for the most part), it's getting through all the interviews. Yes, I know that I need to practice! Anyway, I thought I would also get a canned (template) answer like some of the other reviewers, but surprisingly they told me that my resume looks okay.

I really had high hopes. I decided to spend the money because it was an investment in my future. However, the letter I received did not have my name on it, so I wonder if the letter was tailored for me or if they sold the same letter to me and someone named Margaret. Faculty was spelled facility on my resume. The dates of employment history on my new resume didn't match the resume I has provided them. When I was asked for more details on my work history, they didn't improve what I wrote just added it to the resume. I paid extra for the linked in service and they gave me my resume and told me to add that to LinkedIn. I felt robbed of the 100.

I found my first draft to be written for a recent college grad and not someone with experiencing. If I was hiring I would not even give me an interview based on what I got from them. Their review of my resume talked about standing out, but what I got was so ordinary and a snooze. It did not highlight me at all, the language read like a college student not someone with experience. The language was also just so ordinary. Nothing about it would make my resume stand out and go to the next stage.

I also paid for the letters. The cover letter was a template that in no way highlighted me or made me stand out for the hiring manager. Looking at that I don't think my resume would even get a glance. Don't even get me started on the thank you letter. That was nothing but a template as well.

When i pay for a resume writing service I do so because I want to make my resume stand out. I want to get notices. Nothing about the resume and letters that I got would stand out at all.

I wanted an overhaul on my resume and cover sheet so I contacted them.
The price is high in my opinion, but the product that came out of it was mediocre at best. Spelling errors and grammatical errors were fixed. After their 60 day period of no results they re-did the resume which is the only reason I gave them 2 stars.
The re-done resume is still sub par and yielding no results and I have stopped using it.
They also contact customers asking them to provide positive feedback on these sites in exchange for a $20 Amazon gift card.

I was wondering myself why the description of my resume was inaccurate. I thought it odd that it said I had a job objective (which they said is a negative) instead of a skills summary. Turns out the opposite is true. This leads me to believe, having read the other comments that there are stock reply's to the resume you send them. I was taken in by the great website and solicitation letters. I was interested in using this service because the site said an expert in the field I was hoping to find employment in would review the resume and make sure the correct words that would snag the scanning machine were there. The revised resume was so generic as to be laughable. "A history of accomplishing goals," was my favorite line. Not only were there spelling mistakes but they actually changed the dates of my jobs. My impression is that these were sent overseas to someone who barely had a grasp of the English language. Infuriating.

I purchased the cover letter and resume package a few months ago. I thought it looked great at the time and I honestly believe that it looks a whole lot better than my original resume. What I thought was strange was that I had my completed draft sent back to "Katie Warren" for a critique just like the first time but I used a different email address. Oddly enough, I received my critique and it was almost identical to my other critique! The same paragraphs were used except for a few sentences which were changed to reflect the wording used. It seems as if a computer program reviews the resume and uses a base template to work off of. Sure enough, my remade resume that I paid for from Top Resume did not pass it's own test!
