This business will review your resume for free then tell you what's wrong with it and what they can do to improve it for you. If you continue to purchase their service they will take your current resume and copy-paste it into their own template which will include a bunch of skills unrelated to you, mis-spellings as if someone from outside the US is writing it, and they will refuse to refund you because of their "no refund policy." DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I have also contacted the BBB with a complaint and disputed the charge with my bank.

I paid for the executive package and just like others received a template with bullets and no value was added to my profile. The called LinkedIn writing service its an scam, the person that did this took 5 minutes of its time and copied and pasted information from the template to another word document. This company shows no respect for the customers and the money we spent on their services. I do not recommend TopResume services to anyone. Shame on me after reading this reviews that decided to give it a try.

They will copy and paste your resume in to a template without adding much. My "writer" was not familiar with my industry despite the website advertising that they were, so she made up key words and experience I don't have, left incomplete sentences and inconsistent formatting in the final products, copied dates wrong, and ignored the majority of my re-write requests. Some of the cuts from my original document were helpful but a few prestigious and important items were also cut out of their draft.

Customer service's response to this complaint was that I was"welcome to let your writer know at the time", which is about a one week window during which response time varies. Since you pay upfront, they can essentially do as they please and time you out on feedback and rewrites.

Topresume did provide me with a kick in the butt to improve my resume by editing the document they provided, but the cover letter is useless gibberish and I have no faith in the "60-day interview guarantee".

If you are a capable writer and can maintain verb tense consistency on your own, I recommend you save your money and just google up a resume template you like. If needed have a friend help you edit down your experience down to a few bullets for each job, then go out to dinner a few times on the savings!

I paid $249 for their LinkedIn profile, coverletter, and resume. At the cost of $249 and what I received, it wasn't worth the cost. LinkedIn profile was my resume but just in paragraph form which anybody with half a brain could do. If you are mid level career then I would say they do an sub par job. If you are looking to go from an mid level to professional then you are wasting your money. They re-formatted my resume and took away bulletpoints, that's it. Top Resume is a company that will rob you.

After receiving a review of my resume I was convinced that this company knew what they were doing. I purchased the resume and cover letter package and was referred to another person. The draft I got of my resume was ok but left out my skill sets and key bullets. The cover letter was awful. It looked and sounded like some kid in middle school wrote it. I sent back my revisions and was told I would have another draft Wednesday. Thursday came and i still didn't have anything so I sent an email to my person and she never wrote back. Today I wrote to the customer service stating I want my Money back seeming how I never even received my final resume or cover letter. Still no reply. This company is a scam and is awful. I posted this same review on another website and the company responded to the post within 30 seconds saying they would help me and I'm sure they will write the same response to this. I contacted the email you gave me and still no reply. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. It amazes me you would treat a veteran like this.

When my resume critique was done the feedback was that I had not done a good job of telling my story in a manner in which HR managers wanted to see it and that it was too activity oriented and not about results, so I assumed a rewrite would be done to accomplish that. I knew that it needed to be in a more organized and concise format so I asked for that as well.

It was reformatted nicely, but there were essentially no changes to anything I had previously written. It was my own "ineffectual" resume reformatted. I did give this feedback to the writer who said it looks better and that she wasn't going to make any more changes.

Unless you want to pay for a resume reformat, its not worth the money.

Signed up with these folks due to a "special" offer of $100.00. Only after signing up was I notified that there was a time limit on services, and I received an email on 11/18/15 informing me that any final changes would have to be submitted no later than 11/17/15. All this for a final draft that contained incorrect, overlapping dates and misspelled words- my "expert" doesn't even know the difference between perspective and prospective. Avoid Top Resume!

I purchased the Executive Priority package - received my first draft of resume on time, and communication with Barbara P. Was pretty fluid for the most part - a few lags here and there, but nothing too big. Writer was a very personable. Tip: Make sure you develop your own content as best as you can before enlisting TopResume for assistance. They do a better job at re-arranging content and formatting. With that said, I am very satisfied with the end-product of my resume! As for Cover Letter and Linkedin profile - these were subpar.

I did the complimentary resume critique which was offered via Glassdoor and was impressed by the ATS scan feedback. Therefore I went for their service and expressed that I was a creative that needed a resume in a Word Doc format that still looked eye-catching but also performed well in ATS scans.

I was excited to finally have a high performing resume and had my husband submit his resume for review as well. I was very disappointed when his review came back almost identical to mine and we are in very different fields with very different looking resumes. Needless to say, this made me nervous about what I would receive for my edited resume.

I received my first round on time only to find that the content really didn't change that much. All that had really been done was to plug the content into a very dated-looking Word Template, deleting much of my experience along the way. When I returned my edits along with a critique of the design, the writer didn't understand my design comments so I sent her a sample Word Template that was more contemporary looking and would still enable content to be scanned.

The next round of edits came back two days late. They did offer to extend my review time, however the revision that came back was horrible, it was actually visually worse than the first round! I showed it to a few hiring professionals and was told it looked as if it was created on using a typewriter and Chartpak lettering. I can deal with reformatting the resume myself to be more attractive, but the content is not an improvement and I have little faith that TopResume can actually deliver on what they promised. This was the biggest waste of money!

I had Top Resume review my resume because I was getting no hits from the jobs I was applying to, with over 35 years experience in my field you would expect something. Their review made some recommendations about format and the content " I was a doer, not an achiever per my resume". When I received the new formatted resume, I sent it to a friend in HR who came back with the same comments, though the format was better it still didn't show me as an achiever, even though I had sent Top Resume a list of accomplishments. When confronting Top Resume about this, I got a lame excuse and basic told to make the changes my self. Waste of my money and time. 7 days isn't enough time for review.

I purchase the $189 package can not remember the name. Does not matter now. I will agree with everyone they are pretty fast with the turn around time. However, I think they are moving to fast. I have had my resume going on 90 days (past their 60 guarantee) and I have not received NOT 1 OFFER. I emailed them 2 through their own website as well as email the rep who assisted me with the resume. Their 60 day guarantee advised that they would do a resume rewrite. ABSOLUTE LIE! I have not received one email back in regards to my rewrite. This is the worse I paid too much to receive such back customer service.

They only made it compact with slightly different words. Then I tried to submit the rewrite back to their free critique service and I received pretty much the same feedback as my old resume! Also ATS scan mentioned was even worst than my original. Ever since then I was skeptical on what they had to say to me. For a fact, I have been applying for jobs and got called for my original resume instead of TopResume's.

I finally got a job, but the resume that TopResume wrote for me had nothing to do with it. Employers in the job interviews were interested in the CV I wrote by myself, which included all the info of my career accomplishments, and not on the a resume with carefully picked catchy phrases that only provide vague information about what I have actually done for living. I feel that their service is overpriced and I would not recommend it to someone else.

I purchased a resume rewrite for my son, who is transitioning from 8 years of military experience into his current career in Network and Communications. He graduated over a year ago and has almost 2 years of practical working experience. The first draft didn't even list his military experience and they put that he had 8 years of technical experience... which isn't true. When he replied back and told them to redo the experience section and add the military experience... no reply for several weeks... after asking for my money back they finally responded... but still had not fixed the years of experience. If they had done a good job, I would have had them redo my resume but there is no way I will every work with them again! SO DISAPPOINTED!
