Well, my resume looks entirely different than it did before. But they didn't really interact... they rewrote it and sent it over for review. I made changes and remarks and the writer just made the changes i wrote down and never offered any advice. I also asked for my resume to lead away from sales as the ATS plopped me under sales before... after my resume was complete i asked for the results of it being run through ATS now and didn't get an answer

This site came recommended from my professional association. My resume needed a new look, so I let them take a stab at it. Wow! I received my first draft within a week. I tweeked this a bit then sent it back. Within 24 hours, I had the updates and a very great looking resume. I have already sent it out to one company and within 5 days, I had a phone interview. I would recommend TopResume to all professionals who are needing a resume refresh.

Op Resume was GREAT in their promptness and delivering exactly what they said they would deliver. I don't know if it was my writer or this is a common problem but upon receiving my resume there were several words spelled incorrectly and sentences that did not flow correctly. When I say did not flow correctly mainly the problems were run-on sentences or chopped up sentences or phrases that did not make sense upon reading them. My advice is to proof read your resume back from them very hard as I was very nonchalant about this and did not really notice all the mistakes until after I was done with the entire process. I of course have since fixed all the errors myself but the layout was great and again very timely.

I thought it would be helpful to get a second opinion on my resume. The reviewer criticized my passive language (is, was, had, have, etc.) and overuse of certain words and phrases. This was disappointing because my resume contains absolutely no passive language and the words/phrases that were flagged for overuse ("managed" and "collaborated with") were each only used a single time. It didn't take long for me to realize that my "critique" was designed to get me to fork over for one of TopResume's full (and very expensive) services. Proceed at your own risk.

My writer waited to the last minute of each TopResume-imposed deadline to send me drafts, which were full of grammatical errors and in some cases outright lies (saying I had done multiple public presentations when my original resume only stated one conference). I asked a number of questions about the writer's choices and received almost no feedback. I did however receive excuses whenever I called the writer out for sloppy editing - was on his way to work, had unexpected personal issues. I would be accepting of that if the writer had let me know earlier that there would be a delay (and a lot of editing work on my end) had I been informed earlier; instead I sat around waiting anxiously and was completely disappointed with each draft. I sent an email to "Katie Warren" asking if that was the level of quality they expected people to pay for and the response was to "work with your writer." I agree with other customers' feedback that the formatting feels dated (justified? Centered? Long paragraphs and bullets?). As a marcom writer myself, I came to TopResume to learn more about how resumes are read through the ATS. I wanted to trust them as experts, but even my final version was sloppy. I wouldn't trust them as or for anything.

The resume writer did not gave depth review of my resume. She did not point my strengths as job seeker. It was just like an ordinary job for her. Prior to review, the company pointed out that strength was in my finance. But in the resume they wrote, my finance jobs were all disappeared and was not highlighted. I doubt if I could find an employer who will dig enough for my finance expertise. There was a disappointment in my part. Acceptable enough.

When I research a company, I always look at the bad reviews and see if I can live with the complaints that other people have. All the bad reviews I read seemed scripted like someone else had written them and not actually customers. So I thought that I was make a fairly safe bet that I could trust TopResume. I worked with Joel and he did a great job, was very professional, and gave me a good product for a great price. I am very please with the work that I received and I would recommend TopResume to anyone who wants a well written resume.
