At a professional crossroads, I needed the expertise of a service that was objective and not emotionally involved in the process. After completing a questionnaire and submitting some supporting documents, I was matched with a writer with knowledge of my industry. The turnaround time was lightening fast - almost not enough time for me to catch my breath! Communication with Laura, the TopResume writer, was done via email exclusively. She was not only extremely timely with her responses, she was upbeat and positive. I really felt that she was invested in the process with me. It was an unintentional click of a link that led me to TopResume, but by no means was it an accident! Thank you for your help!

If you are reading this please do not use this service. I too was torn by the mixed reviews but this service offers a very low quality product and is not worth the money.

I ordered the package that was supposed to include a resume writer in their "top 10%." The documents they provided me were an obvious cut and past job into a template using my old resumes. I had to make extensive edits just to make it readable as their were many typos, nonsensical statements, and template place holder sections left empty. After communicating with my writer a few time it became clear that they were not based in the United States. This was evident by all the documents they sent me being set as English (United Kingdom) in the review section of Microsoft Word.

This service MIGHT be helpful to those who are starting from scratch and have no idea how to construct a resume but is outrageously overpriced. If that is the case I suggest you use free templates from online or resources like a career center at a community college or your university. This service is not worth the money. They do not issue refunds so BEWARE.

I was on the fence about using their service, but knowing that there is no way I can make myself sound good on my resume, I had to give them a shot. And if I didn't see results, I could get a refund! So what's there to lose!? The service was great, except it would be nice to know what time-zone your writer was in because I would get responses at 5am sometimes and nothing at all around 11am or so. But I recommended everyone else to give this a try. This is something you should consider not only for now, but for your future! It's almost like a career starter!

Top Resume offers a very thorough and detailed step by step service. They started by doing a free, thorough analysis of my resume and the results were a real eye opener to me. It made me realize just how inadequate my resume was as seen through the eyes of a recruiter even though I thought my resume was great. My resume writer took her time, fielded my questions and concerns and delivered a truly great product which needed basically no revisions on my part. She also did a tremendous job on my LinkedIn profile as well. I now feel much more confident in my job search as I look to switch careers. This was money well spent and I have been recommending the service to people that I know.

I started applying with my new resume and cover letter on May 25th 2017. I got two great interviews, totally related to my background and I got hired on July 7th 2017!

I wish I knew about TopResume earlier!
