I was looking for job opportunities when I got the chance to get my resume reviewed for free by Top Resume. Emily G. Did a great job pointing out many things on it. She gave me a different perspective and pretty much gave me the employers point of view which it was not what I expected. I really appreciate her feedback and was able to send back some questions. English is not my native language so I took her feedback serious. I would definitely recommend.

I tried to reach out to these people to ask them to write a professional resume that was up to business standards. Erica N is the most condescending person I dealt with via email because of course they don't ever answer the phones. The cute little message someone sent me on here assuring me they wanted to help never contacted me. The version I received showed version 1 because they screwed up my resume so many times, they agreed to start over and the last email I received said I had exhausted my revision allotments and they refused to continue, even with an email showing "VERSION 1". Stay far, far away and don't pay this fraudulent company any money. You will only have heartache and stress. I hired a much more professional company who created an outstanding resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile and they send my perfected resume out to 1000's of recruiters for about $100 more for what I paid these jokers to do. Look at the reviews on sitejabber; they are all carbon copies of my experiences, I only wish I saw this site first. I can 100% say every negative thing I have read turned out to be absolutely accurate with my horrible, horrible experience.

I was offered to get my resume critiqued by Topresume for free and I said sure why not. I am really glad I did. It didn't take to long for Katie to go over my resume and she was able to give very helpful information about my resume as well as how employers see my resume. I've had a basic resume that I have been using for awhile, but with Katie's advice it opened my eyes on how to make it better and it all made sense. What is even better is that they give you the opportunity to respond back and ask questions that really helps. I have Topresume 5 stars because even as a free service to look over my resume they have helped me to understand what employers are looking at and how I can better my resume to get more responses from better employees that can impact my career and my life.

Dreadful experience. I had the impression that the work has been performed by a robot or a software and not and actual person. While I understand that it is necessary to use appropriate terminology, many paragraphs of my CV were saturated with bombastic words that did not make sense at all! There were confusions regarding my actual role in two positions. After the first draft I noticed that some minor corrections have been made but my main concerns had not been addressed. The proposed outline was terribly unattractive, I expressed concerns about it and the only change that was made was the font. Regarding my cover letter, I was disappointed that half of it was a copy paste from my résumé, even after my first comments.

Their work is not personalized and not carefully done. I won't use any of these documents to look for a job. Moreover, after poorly done revision I note incapacity to take into account and incorporate feedback to improve the result. Frankly, I'd rather rewrite my documents myself.

When I realised I needed a good resume, I started writing one by myself. I was never satisfied, as it is quite difficult to be essential and clear writing about yourself. So I was looking for professionals to help me.
I fout TopResume ad and I decided to give them a try.

Linda was my writer. She asked me some questions and sent me a first draft on which we could work further. She was fast, precise and very kind.
The results was more than satisfying and ready to be sent out in answer to any ad, or as self-application.

I do a lot of writing so I assumed that I could just write my own resume. I was very wrong. I found out that I am not alone. I was introduced to TopResume and I am so completely happy that I did. I learned that there is not only an art to writing a resume, there is a science as well. I was matched up with a writer within an hour of signing up. I filled out a questionnaire, which I could tell was designed to give the writer all the information needed to do their magic.
For example, one of the questions was something like, "What problems or challenges do you see with your current resume?". My biggest issue is that I have a very diverse work background and I could really apply for many different jobs. So how does one resume work for many job applications?
Well, the writer did an amazing job of finding a connection between all of the jobs that I had done and made them sound like a thoughtful plan. She used the right words and phrases to make it sound great. I wanted to hire myself. That is where the science comes in. If it was just wording it wouldn't be so hard. But she analyzed the overlapping skills of the various jobs and came up with titles that showed the connection.
I was impressed. She did the same sort of wonderful work on my cover letter. I no longer sounded like a letter of "please choose me, PLEASE". She made it sound confident and professional. Just what I needed.
She also answered many questions that I had. So I learned:
-why I needed a Word resume for online applications
-why a photo is not generally needed
-what fonts make the resume stand out from the crowd
I highly recommend TopResume.

Use someone else...
Okay, so everyone knows that there is some urgency to getting a resume done and obviously time is of the essence. I had never had someone do a professional resume for me (as I don't often interview), so I gave them a chance.
It took them 3 days to even acknowledge my order.
It took them 10 days to get a "first draft".
I gave up...

I will say that I review resumes all of the time and what I got (after 13 days) was:
(a) just a shorter version of what I sent them
(b) used a HORRIBLE template
(c) was very poorly written

Don't use this service... it's essentially a SCAM.

Do not spend your money on this service. It is crap. I purchased because some guy name too send me a review of my resume claiming he ran it through system that most employers use. After they claimed they fixed my resume and I asked for it to go through the system they sent me something with the same results. How is this an improvement in my resume? They had me do a questionnaire in the beginning to determine the direction I wanted to take and to provide a job description of positions I was in interested in. They said they could hear the resume to fit the job description. The girl Teresa, who did my resume only paraphrased what I already had. No changes made. Even after numerous Feedback's, the same result, it was like talking to the wall. I'm sorry I wasted my money but this is an opportunity for everyone else who reads this to not waste theirs. Don't do it!
